Things Disney Offers But Doesn't Advertise *Summary Added Oct 08*

This may be well known by many, but I had no idea... so here goes...

When we were there this week, the photographers told me that they do "magical" pictures. For example, they took a picture of my daughter, and when I looked at the print she is holding tinkerbell. I think they can also do your child holding simba.

For my tinkerbell loving child, this is a nice gift to have!

How does one go about reserving this? My daughter would love to have Pluto come to our room!

I would imagine you can't because there is no such thing. I am guessing this because I have yet to see a $65 an hour massage anywhere - let alone Disney World!

I believe that the Poly has a lady bug release one day a week (not sure of the exact day)

discontinued for years to the best of my knowledge (all of the 7 seas lagoon resorts did this at one point). only place to release ladybugs on property nowadays is in epcot, either as part of the behind the seeds tour or during the F&G festival.

tink at mk, fighting hook at mk by potc, hitchhiking ghost at mk by haunted mansion, simba in dak, stitch in mgm.

guess you haven't been to the spa at the GF. $65 won't get ya too much. unless of course you meant $65 was way too cheap.

On my last trip, I found out through another guest that you can get a character to come to your room and give you an hour back massage. It was a lot of fun. I chose Belle from beauty and the beast and my wife chose Goofy. It was a lot of fun, and the back rub was pretty good.

Next time you should try Tigger...he doesn't call it the super-duper-loopty-looper-allie-ooper-bounce for nothing!
;)

$65 being way too cheap is exactly what I meant. I live in Jersey. You can't get anything for $65 - certainly not an hour long massage.

I also don't believe there is a limit to how many photos you have done. Once we realized this last time, we had a ton taken and then checked them all out online once we got home. We had a lot of fun with it - just always keep your photo pass on you.

It cost $65 for the hour, plus tip. I highly recommend it.

Is this for real? This was cracking me up!! I love Disney, but um, no thanks....:lmao:

I have to say I'm totally amazed how many people actually thought this was true. Come on Disers!!! This was a joke.

I have to be careful how I flex my muscles around here.

forget people believing it, i can't believe nobody acknowledged my happily ever after ending joke.

We are doing the Family Magic Tour. I did not tell DD Peter Pan would be there. She is wearing her Tinkerbell costume. Too Cute!

My MIL is sending DD to the Wonderland Tea Party. DD is way into tea parties and she is really excited to have tea with Alice.

Also, mousesavers.com is great. We are using undercovertourist.com for our tickets. We are staying at a timeshare so we did not get a package. They even have $75 off Richard Petty's Driving Experience. I am surprising DH for his birthday. Best waste of a tax return ever!!!!

Yeah that was a good one Brad. I was going to comment, but I didn't want to get in trouble with the moderators. I might have gone to the Rated R section of the boards. LOL. :thumbsup2

Not sure if this is still going on, maybe someone can confirm-
At opening time (of WS) in Norway they'll pick a child to be "Viking of the Day" and the child will get a hat and certificate.

Oh. Be at toontown around 9:45. (15 min early, cuz the guests LINE UP) And your child might be chosen to 'open toontown' hand in hand with the mouse himself.

I've never heard about this... can anyone elaborate on what happens at the opening of toontown?! I have a 1 yr old and 4 yr old, so is this something not to be missed?

I don't know if this happens every night, but at the AKL they have a parade for the kids through the lobby at 8pm. The kids get to pick out an instrument from the gift shop and they march around playing drums and then get a certificate.

I'm not sure if this is still going on, but a few years ago we stayed at the GF and once or twice a week all the housekeepers came out of the main building and marched around the grounds in a parade, carrying parasols. It was really neat and one of them motioned my DD over to walk with her and carry her parasol. It was listed in the info you get at check in.

When we were at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney in March of this year, a little girl who had the first appointment at the BippityBoppityBoutique got to open the store at 9:30am. It was very cute!

Is the talking trashcan still at Epcot?

there's a talking trashcan at electric umbrella, yes. i amuse myself with it every time i eat there.
