Every year we have a real tree which is my choice. This year DH has persuaded me to get an artificial one and I've agreed. He says he likes the thin ones, apparently there's one at Tesco which is featured in their adverts.

What are your opinions on thin trees - I think I prefer the non thin ones. Are they a new thing out for this year? Because we've always had a real one I've never noticed whether they've been out before or not.

Ive seen the adverts, they look very nice, and apparently they do make your presents look bigger :rotfl2:

I have a white Christmas Tree this year, Vicki has been nagging me to get one every year. :goodvibes

Looks like we are having an artificial one this year also :guilty:
Coming back with one that would haved looked good in the town square last year, now does not look like it was a good idea

We only have a small house so I think that a thin 'space saving' tree is a great idea :)

It will be interesting to see what Mandymouse thinks to this as her tree probably spends more time on display than anyone elses :teeth:

Anyone have a link to the tree please?

I am all for space saving ideas, and to me a tree is a tree :)

I got my christmas tree from christmas tree land...

it is a 'super narrow' tree (7ft!) We just got it out earlier to make sure they sent the right one and it is going to look great!

We had no choice but to get a very slim tree due to space, it was not a fashion decision!

I had seen the adverts for Tesco slim trees but have yet to see one in our local (massive) store and didnt want to risk been without!

Thanks Jodie!

They look great actually :)

The thin trees are great :)

I do love my 7ft tree and its really wide. We only have a small house but when it comes to christmas i remove bits of furniture to make way for the tree :) Whem we got the tree 3 years ago we had a huge living room (army house, very generous on size) so we got the tree to fill the room, now i can,t part with it :)

I've seen the advert too, and the trees are nice, lets face it it's what you put on it that glams it up and I thought those trees would do the job :)

I've only seen the thin tree on the advert and not in real life but it does look a bit "wrong" - I'm not sure why, it's probably the proportions. They're not awful but not right either. (If I wanted to save space I think I'd put a smaller but traditionally proportioned tree on a table instead.)

I must admit I prefer a traditional tree but perhaps if I had to compromise on space I would at least consider it.

I think I will insist on a traditional shape. I've had to change the colour scheme as well this year - usually my tree is decorated in silver and white. Amber said it's really boring so we've gone multi-coloured.

I've noticed alot of brown shades and gold tree decorations this year. Is anyone having this colour scheme? I think they look absolutely gorgeous.

Hi Joanne

I've never had a colour theme on my tree, it is full of Disney characters, Ty Bears and other Christmas characters. Don't forget I'll be starting a 'Show us your Christmas tree' thread soon, so take some piccies to share with us :)
