Great start to the Day at AK! I have been on EE once and I think that was enough! When I was there in 2004 it was being built, then my next trip was 2010, I really wanted to try it and my Dh wanted nothing to do with it so I had to wait till the 2011 trip where there were others who would go with me. It was fun but scarier than I thought it would be. I most likely will be sitting it out on the next trip

I've been on it once too. We can at least say we've tried it right

Welcome back Dawn! I love early morning hours. It's amazing how much you can get done. Last time we were there, I rode Everest two times in a row while my boys got 5 times in. The lines really do stay short early. The Asia area is my favorite - I just love the way it's themed.

So I thought I would post an update because 3 weeks from now we will be in DL!!!! Cannot wait! If you aren't on my Facebook there has been a ton of life stuff happening. Well when the going gets tough the tough go to Disney! Yep for my 23rd birthday I will be getting a quick weekend trip! November 8-11 Mom and I will be celebrating by hitting the Food and Wine fest and MVMCP not to mention I will be doing the Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5k. Unfortunately the Food and Wine half marathon was booked or else I would be doing that. So yes something to look forward too once this storm passes!

So back to our Animal Kingdom morning!

Our destination was this



Time for a safari!!! Everyone please get into the vehicle and remember these instructions



Like a good tour guide I will check the sideview mirrors to make sure no animals are behind us



Please look to your left you will see the beautiful Okapi enjoying his breakfast



Next we will come across the hippos



Between these and the crocodiles I do not recommend letting go of your child and telling them to enjoy their time at the pool!

Very rare to Florida up next you will see a bird



Not many people see those every day! Aren't you glad you spent a ridiculous amount of money on a Disney vacation

No animals just greenery



Ah yes the rare vehicle filled with tourists!



On your right you will see an elephant and some more bushes




This elephant is Big Red you may remember saving him in the past










We will have to bring our safari to a halt Phil the giraffe is out trying to eat again



Come on Phil we haven't got all day




This is him saying oh yes you do!



How many of you get to watch a giraffe eat every day?

Don't you look at me in that tone of voice we have a safari group here who paid to see more than just you!

I believe we all got our fill of giraffes next up ankole cattle




Their horns may look heavy but they are actually hollow!









If had paid more money you could be eating here right now!



Our next drive by shows us the rhino






There is the baby rhino!



Or they are just far away and look small your choice!


Everyone knows what's up next!



The sleeping lion! We have to keep them drugged on sleeping pills so they don't attack the tour buses or the other animals!


When the sleeping pills fail we keep these guys close by



Or these



One will protect us the other makes for a better lunch

So that makes them miniature rhinos.

You should have subbed last year's picture. No one would have known. In fact, now that you have that picture you don't even need to try for the lion anymore. Your work is done.

Loved visiting AoA. I thought the Cars area was just fantastic and loved the cone cabanas! My little girl has already requested a stay there. I'm down with that.

Peter Pan in Once is super creepy. I mean, who would leap out a window with that shadowy thing? Not me.

I saw you posted about Epcot on Cinco de Mayo. Did you end up getting a pic with the Three Caballeros? They were awesome to see.
