I love that picture with Josh and Cooper! Sometimes there is one family member that just doesn't mesh well with puppy....gald to see you all love him!

I am just stopping by to say hello!!! I miss all of you! :) The week is almost over, and I am excited to get my office computer back! LOL

Today is Victoria's birthday, so we are headed out for dinner tonight - we are all very excited!

I hope you all have a marvelous day!!! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you!!!

Loving the pictures of the fur babies!

So.... just how do you manage a new puppy and working on your sewing? Does the pup hang with you in there? Or is he tearing the place up while you slave away? Or is he pretty good at keeping in gated areas? Lol. That would be interesting! Have a good weekend!

Hahaha... Well - I've been lucky this week because Josh is here with me... And he's a smoker, so every time he goes outside to smoke - he takes the puppy with him. We have our entire kitchen area gated off... So, when MM needs a break - we put him in the livingroom area. The puppy isn't allowed in the livingroom area at all, unless he is sleeping on one of us - the few times we've let him in there, he's had accidents. :/ Basically, what I do... Puppy sleeps in a soft kennel next to our bed at night... In the morning - first thing, I take him outside, bring him in feed/water him. About 30 min later, I take him oustide again, he usually does #1 and #2 at this time. Then I put both dogs together for play time... They usually play for about an hour, then I take the puppy out again. From there, I go upstairs to work - taking the puppy out every hour. I also only water him about every hour, as well - unless the dogs are playing hard... I don't keep an endless supply of water while I am potty training him. That way, I can time when I need to take him out. It's all a matter of timing, really. And LOTS n' LOTS of treats. LOL I alternate the day away by doing this... At lunch time - I take them ouside to play a little longer... About 30 minutes in the grass... Then I like to lock them on the deck for about 20 min too, that way they can play, but they are stll outside in a "safe" place. We do the same thing in the evenings too... It's really hard though, because our yard isn't fenced, so we have to be watching him all the time to keep him off of the road and out of neighbor's yards - it's quite stressful. We do have a kennel set up outside, but the grass isn't grown in it yet - and it's a little muddy. We feed puppy again at dinner time, take them both outside to play - we let them play the rest of the evning to wear themselves out... I cut off Cooper's water supply at about 7-7:30, depending on how hard they've been playing... That way he isn't up all night going to the bathroom.

It's not easy having a puppy in the house... I forgot how much work it is. even if I had access to the office computer during the day - I don't know how much of a chance I'd get to use it right now? I feel like I am constantly pottying the puppy. LOL

Thankfully - most days, I work from home, so it's easy to take a 10 minute break to let him outside. :)

I hope I explained that well enough... It's hard when I am doing it with my thumbs. LOL ;)

Yikes, that sounds like a lot of work. I don't remember Cloe being that much work as a puppy. I do remember keeping her on a leash when she was in the family room, gating her in the kitchen. We were working full time, so she kind of trained herself since i used to leave for work 7:30 ish and was home at 4ish. I remember canceling my extra review sessions because i had to be home for the dog. We had her in a crate when we were at work.

Happy Birthday to Victoria!!!:bday:

Oh potty training. It is a lot of work having a puppy, but at least MM wears him out.

The fire in our area is contained. Thank for your prayers.

Want to wish all a very Happy Mother's Day!!

Have a great weekend!

:cheer2::bride:Happy Birthday, Victoria. :bday:
What a nice time of year for a birthday. :)

Your puppy duties sound a little tiring. :faint: At least he'll grow out of it sooner than a baby does. ;)

I had to laugh at your puppy daily schedule. It sounds all too familiar. Luckily I think (fingers crossed) our puppy is trained now. I forgot how much time it took to train a puppy too. Good Luck! :)

I'd forgotten how much work potty training a puppy is. I hope things settle down soon.
A belated Happy Birthday to Victoria.
Before I go to work I have to make some cupcakes for a co worker who's birthday is today. It's a tradition in our department. Someone makes cupcakes for whoever's birthday it is. She wants Halloween ones.
Have a happy Mother's Day and enjoy you weekend.

Thank you everyone for V's birthday wishes! She had a wonderful birthday! I just love my girls' birthdays and spending time with them... There is no greater joy in my life than my girls. :lovestruc

And finally Cooper... Who is settling in nicely... He has kind of a mean streak - as you will see in the video... Poor MM is such a nice guy and a good big brother... but Cooper takes total advantage of that, and isn't always so nice to MM. :scratchin I pray this is just a puppy phase and he will learn to be a bit nicer... Also, MM needs to stand up for himself - and I really think that is all it will take. I hope. But Cooper loves to cuddle and snuggle...

Last night, while Alli, V, Gus and I were playing Scrabble...

And, the video from yesterday... Trying to wear the dogs out before bed... It worked. :thumbsup2 Cooper slept through the night for the second time (not in a row), from 9:30pm -5:00am... :woohoo:

Wow! It feels good to have my computer back! And my routine back! Sort-of... LOL As much as I can get it back with pottying Cooper all the time.

We had a nice day yesterday... Allison gave me a very nice card. Victoria made me a wonderful card and somehow conspired with Allison to get me an Alex and Ani bracelet to add to my collection - I now have the "Mother" charm. It was so sweet. Gus had brought me flowers the night before when he was here. I love all of my kids - they are so sweet!

So, I dressed up in my new Lilly shift dress from Target. I love these dresses - they are so flattering. I wish I could afford the real thing... Maybe some day when my girls are out of college. ::yes::

I decided I wanted to go to Cracker Barrel for lunch - so we drove the 45 minutes to get there, and discovered that there was a 45 min wait. Grrr... OK - so we put our name down and waited. 45 minutes later, we checked our status and found out it would be another 45 - 1 hour wait... We decided to leave - that was just plain 'ol crazy! Josh wasn't happy, the girls were annoyed... So, we tried another place - the place we went to for Valentine's Day... The ONLY thing they were serving was a Mother's Day buffet - at $24/person - their food wasn't that good to spend $100 for a meal there... So we ended up at Jimmy Johns. LOL I Know - that's not a word I've said recently... Josh was so annoyed that he had to take me to JJ's for Mother's Day, he was not happy at all. I tried to explain to him that it truly was a TREAT for me to eat there, but he didn't get it - I haven't eaten there in well over a year. So, I enjoyed every bite. ::yes::

We went home, and a short time later, I took Allison to work. Victoria bought me Starbucks for Mother's Day... It was delicious! For the record... I am giving up Starbucks for a few weeks - unless I get an Americano... I am having it way too often these days!

While I was in town, I picked out some nice rib-eye steaks, and Josh made those for dinner on the grill... They were wonderful.

We watched a movie... Hmmm... Something "Game"... Can't remember the name of it? It was good. It was about cracking the Enigma code the Nazis were using during WWII.

Then V and I watched the season finale of OUAT... As usual, it didn't disappoint.

It was a nice Mother's Day, and I enjoyed spending it with my family!

I photo of the girls and I while waiting at Cracker Barrel yesterday... Of course, Allison had to be a goof...

Today... It's back to the grind.

I will be doing Level 1 of my 30DS.

Then I will be working on this week's custom order... I am pretty excited about it!

I have to take V to her trap meet today after school, since she didn't go yesterday.

That's about all.

I hope you all had a wonderful day and a great Mother's Day! :grouphug: Thanks for hanging with me over the last week + as my schedule was a little goofy. ::yes::

So happy you are getting back into a routine. I love my routines during the week. I refuse to go out on holidays like Easter and Mother's Day. It is no fun.

Good luck with puppy training. Also Cooper and MM will work it out just give MM time.

First of all... Happy birthday Victoria!

Oh my gosh reading through your daily puppy training! So glad I have kitties. Just clean the litter box everyday. ;-)

Sounds like you had a wonderful mothers day! I had dinner for my mom and step dad and my 2 boys and hubby spoiled me rotten with flowers for outside around our waterfall and 20 bags of mulch! Yes! I was so excited for new mulch! Call me crazy we really needed it. We have alot of tiered flower beds as our house is situated on a hill.
Glad you got your computer back and are getting back to normal routine. Cooper needs his own Facebook page! He could be the next Boo or Dougie the ****zou ( I bet I spelled that wrong, oh my heavens! Ha!)
Yes, cracker barrel is a mad house. Mothers day is The biggest day for cracker barrel... next is thanksgiving if I remember correctly.
Anymore new plans on your disney girly trip? You inspired me to ask my two besties here if they would like the idea of doing a disney girls trip. As they have never been.
...
.....
They love the idea!!!!! We're shooting for 2018. Funny its so far away....as next year it's our hubs 20th anniversary trip and the year after that, I have to take our youngest. ...
Have a terrific week!
