~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

I'm crossing my fingers that you will get the ADRs you want.
How great that Cooper is almost potty trained.
It's only 4 1/2 weeks left until we leave for the US. I can't believe our trip is so soon. I still have some stuff to fix before we leave. Buy a new suitcase and batteries for our GPS. I washed the bag you made for me, but I was not happy with it after it came out of the washing machine. So I washed it again. Now it's better, but not as black and white as I would like :(

I don't think you will have a whole lot of trouble getting your adrs - we did a "last minute" (booked in Dec) trip last January and were able to the get a pre-opening adr at Tusker House. Not sure about CP, though.

Love love love reading your trip reports, pics of your family and your amazing talent. I wish I could sew, my DM always made my clothes and still makes things for my DD. where do you sell your bags? Etsy, eBay, I'd love to help fund a portion of a Disney trip :rotfl: we will be at Disney for Halloween until November 6 I can't wait it's been 3 years:scared1:.
Can't wait for more of your updates Happy Sewing!

Not even going to try to catch up, but wanted to pop in and say hi! I'm really going to try to stay focused and get on here every day again. I'll add my hope that you get all the ADR's you want!

I haven't said anything, but Dan and I decided to go back in September! We will still be using our AP's. I feel it's almost mandatory to use them a third time and take advantage, right? That's how I sold it to Dan! We're staying at Pop b/c there was nothing at FQ. But, that keeps it cheaper and I got amazing flights. We'll be there for 8 days. Can't wait!!

Anyway, I hope you are having fun getting back in the swing of things in your you-know-what room after your time at the lake. I loved seeing all the pics...it looked like so much fun! What a blessing to be able to go there every year!

Have a wonderful day!

Sending you pixie dust for the ADRs!!
Hopefully it will all work out!

Glad your home and settled and back into your routine! Your such an inspiration to me with your eating and lifestyle.

Thanks Terri! I hope so too... If not - especially those early ADRs... Then I will try for late breakfast ones - because those first 2 hours in the park are the most important. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I just feel like keepin' on keepin' on is super important. And there's something about working out every. single. day - even if it's just little - that resets me every day. Almost as if, every morning, I start over with a clean slate... It's worked out very well so far. Even though I've been this size for a year now - I know I am getting fitter and stronger. ::yes::

I do hope you will be able to get all of the ADRs that you want. I know it's got to be tough not having the 180 +10.

Yeah for Cooper being almost potty trained! 5 am doesn't sound too bad actually. Eddie's preferred wake-up time has been 4 am recently.

I hope so too... I am so spoiled with the 180+10... Sigh. We'll still have a great time, no matter what though. And despite the few differences - I am really looking forward to staying at SoG again - even if the price difference is miniimal.

Hahaha... Yes, he is so close - he is doing very well. 4 am... No thanks. LOL Eddie needs to learn how to sleep in. Although - Cooper has learned how to jump the gate in the kitchen that blocks off the office/upstairs - so this morning, after Josh let the dogs out - he came upstairs to shower... While he was in the shower, SC jumped the gate, and jumped in bed with me... Which scared me out of a dead sleep. Not the worst thing in the world right? Well, the kicker... He had just taken a big ol' drink and he had wet slobbery dog kisses to give me all over my face - Buuuuut... Josh had not given him water, I'd discovered when I went downstairs - someone had left the bathroom door open/toilet seat up... Likely those wet slobbery dog kisses were toilet germ infested. My face and mouth were immediately disinfected and I've had an eeew factor all morning. LOL

<----- Note to self... need a taller gate. :scratchin

Hopefully, everything will work out for the ADRs.

Thanks Shannon - I hope so too.

Eeeep!!!! So excited for your trip - it's coming so quickly!!!! Sorry the bag didn't wash up as well as you wanted it to... Can you spot clean it to get it better?

I hope not... January shouldn't be too bad - I hope? I know November is crazy this year - Suzi, Mo and I are super concerned.

Welcome!!! THanks so much! I am glad you are enjoying my TR! :thumbsup2

Sorry, but I am not allowed to talk about my business at all on the Dis, I hope you understand.

Yay!!! I love, love, love halloween in Disney - it's just phenominal!!! I cannot wait for V's halloween trip in 2016 - the weather, the atmosphere - really my favorite time to be there. However, I have not experienced a Christmas trip yet, so we'll see - I love Christmas too. ::yes::

Good Luck on your ADR's!!!

Thanks Mo!!!

Hi Lois!!! Glad to see you here!

Yay!!! I agree - must make use out of those APs... I really think you should go in November though. :scratchin Some day I hope to meet up with you! BUmmer about no FQ - but I've heard good things about Pop too - and you'll have a great time no matter what. No grands going with this time?

Hehehe... Yes, back to normal around here - including working weekend. ::yes:: LOL

Yes, we love the lake - we are so lucky to have that in Josh's family. It's been a great family get away for us since the beginning, many happy memories there- not just for us, but for generations before us, and hopefully many generations after us too. :)

I worked most of the morning yesterday...

Then the girls had appointments on the other side of the metro... So, I spent my afternoon driving.

Gus came with us - he is here this week because his sister is getting married tonight - so he's been doing lots of wedding festivities with Allison all week. When the girls' appointments were done, we escaped to Valley fair for 2 rides - LOL - just to use our passes... We were in the park for less than 15 minutes. :thumbsup2

In true form... A cranky V picture for you all. LOL

Also, I wanted to share a hilarious picture from on our way home from the lake the other day... I think Josh is enjoying being chauffeured all over the place these days, now that Allison is driving. ROFL

Today - I am working all day... I don't even plan on leaving the house.

No big plans for the weekend - except for working. ::yes::

I hope you all have a great weekend! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

OK, your Cooper story of the wet, toilety kisses made me :rotfl2:. Aren't dogs great? :dog:

I have no idea why 4 am has become Eddie's wake up time. He's going to be 14 in August and is getting quite senile unfortunately. Schnauzers are prone to doggy dementia. He wakes up at 4 every morning wanting his breakfast so he won't go back to sleep. We've take to locking him in the kitchen with baby gates and going back to bed.

Hope you have a very productive day. Have a wonderful weekend.

I loved the story of the toilet bowl kisses. I am so glad it is Friday. I am looking forward to having relatively no plans for this weekend. I want to go out to the produce farms and stock up on healthy fruits and veggies. Maybe even go to the butcher. Wild times I have planned. Have a great weekend.

The pictures are so funny :rotfl:
I will try to spot clean my bag to see if it can get better.

Today I bought a new suitcase. They had a black one on display in the store so I asked if they had any other color that everyone else doesn't have so it's easier to spot it at the airport. They had a deep red color one in the back. So I bought that one. I also bought rechargeable batteries for my GPS. I told the man in the store that the last time I was in the USA the charger I had wouldn't work. He then told me that it probably don't work on the weird Voltage that they have in the USA :rotfl: So he advised me to buy a new charger when I get to the USA. I'm guessing that they will have that at Walmart. I'm really starting to look forward to our trip :dancer:

Im with you on the worried about November!! I was looking forward to low crowds and I'm doubting that will happen. Now I'm just praying there isn't a heat wave as well. My daughter and I don't mind the heat but my husband the Canadian hates the heat and my son tends to get sick feeling when he gets slightly too hot. We went in Sept 2013 and it was mostly okay but I remember we were dripping with sweat our first day waiting for Jedi training academy. But a little rain cooled things off the rest of the week. I read somewhere they expect a mild hurricane season because of el nino but i dont know what that means temp wise. Im just gonna keep praying!

Oh my, dog kisses...of the yucky kind!:crazy2: I would have disinfected instantly as well! That photo of the trip back was adorable. Love, love, love Victoria's cranky look in the other one. Is she babysitting again this summer? Maybe I'd better go back and try to catch up. I have so many questions.

I would LOVE to go in November and spend a bit of time with the three Amigos, (plus a few other DISers I hear) but we already have our airfare and can't change it at this point cause it's not Southwest. Also, Dan and I are going on a Viking River Cruise in November for our 30 anniversary. Actually the anniversary is the 20th of this month.

Well, I'm just on a break from sewing a dress for my granddaughter, so I need to get back down there before I fall into the rabbit hole of the internet any further. Hope all is going well as you work this weekend! :flower3:

P.S. I did want to say that the selfie you took at the airport while waiting for Mo was amazing. You are so beautiful and look soooo young!!! I would frame that one!!

i am dying over here..

:rotfl2: :lmao:

Nothing much to say - as I haven't caught up in the slightest - except - I'm alive.
And overworked.
Cooper is getting so big!

I think you will be fine for ADRs in January. Unless they offer FD way ahead like this Nov trip. But you'll still be fine.

Love the pic from the trip home from the lake.....so funny :)

Hey Miss D! I just shot you an email; I am going to spend the rest of the week trying to get caught on this thread of yours! I saw some pics of you and the family at the lake on FB; what a wonderful time. Looked like you had some wonderful things to eat there. Bread - how I love bread - it always seems to get snuck into my diet now and then. That will need to be worked on.

I cannot wait to get caught up and read all about your Dis plans for November and January. I will be better about keeping up now!

Take care,
Carol

HI! Just checking in. I have lots to catch up on. I see you had a wonderful time at the Lake.
ADR's, sound wonderful. So many Disney trips to plan and the excitement. I could only be so lucky.
We just got back from visiting my family down south. We had a wonderful time. We were able to spend time with littlest member of our family (age 2 1/2); and what a firecracker she is. We LOVED every minute of it!!!
Exciting news is we are planning a family Disney trip in 2016. It should be interesting as we will be a party of 10!!
Off to catch up on what I have missed!!
Have a wonderful day!!

Here's hoping you get all of your ADRs!

Love the photo of Josh sleeping in the car...too funny!

We are back from our Disney trip and overall it was fabulous. I never have time for a TR, or I am good at starting and not finishing them, so I won't bother this time.

I posted a few photos on a Polynesian Villas thread because we had the BEST ROOM EVER at the Polynesian. I did not want to leave. Seriously. Our standard view room ended up having a perfect view of the beach, the Grand Floridian and the Magic Kingdom Castle and Space Mountain. We really got lucky but I don't think I could ever stay at the Poly again because I know the room would probably never be as good. We love the convenience of it though, but we also loved our 4 nights at Bay Lake Tower in a standard view room...where we saw trees and the building and a little bit of the pool...and the shuffleboard court.

DH said we could go back in August if I wanted, but I seriously think I'll save my leave and take a break. I did bit the bullet and pay for Disney Fantasy cruise in October. I was debating, but life it just way too short and the price, while not low, is certainly the best we could ever hope for for a family of five to take a 7-night E. Caribb cruise so we are going for it. YOLO right?
