They're back... in Florida!

Anyone else in Central Florida have their Lovebugs back yet??? We have a lovely swarm outside our lanai. It is like "The Birds" but with Lovebugs! I can't even go outside!!!

This is only a small sampling. There must literally be 1000 lovebugs in my yard!!!

ugh...that's what those stupid things are in my house. I keep seeing them in my bathrooms and living room. It's only maybe a couple a day, but it's still annoying. I always thought they were silverfish. I have a problem with them about this time every year.

I will sell them to you cheap. $20 for 1000 mating pairs, lol. That pic wasn't the half of it. I wish I had a wide-angle lens so you could see. Ugh, it is soooo gross!!! I seriously cannot leave the screened lanai.

This is the first I've heard of lovebugs. In another thread about WDW in Sept, someone asked about them. Is this something that would be a factor in deciding when to go in September????

Not really. I mean, they're gross & there's usually a ton of them but they're really nothing more than an "ick" factor. Plus they get smooshed all over the front of the car & the guts can eat away at paint if you don't wash them off.

Like I said, they're gross.

I'm glad there's not another factor to work in.... I had visions of fighting off swarms of bugs as I walked through the MK... say it won't be so.

Been here for over a week. I wanted to sit outside last weekend and I had to sit there with my OFF spraying as they flew around me. This is a funny story though. Dh was on a plane on the tarmac here in Houston-just coming back from Buffalo. There was an older couple in front of him that was catching a connecting flight. A pair landed on the window and these 2 people were amazed-they kept tapping on the window saying-What IS that? Are those 2 bugs?? Why are there 2 bugs connected together like that?? Someone should pull them apart. Meanwhile my dh is busting a gut. Can you imagine....we'll hire a bunch of people and their sole job will be to pull them apart . UMmmm never mind telling this elderly couple about the birds and bees

They were all over the bus stop at the Wilderness Lodge in May, they were everywhere. I had never seen bugs like that before.

UIgh it si swarm season here too! Not near as bad as it is in my college town, Thibodaux. Walking to class this time of year is so gross!

In May we got them bad. We haven't gotten any here yet, Well at least I haven't come across any.

I agree they are disgusting and I hate having to scrape them off the front of my truck.

Ok, I know I'm freaking out now.... we want to stay at POFQ because we can walk on the riverside etc. Will they be so bad we won't want to do that. Will they be aggrevating in the parks?
