They would have to pay me $ to eat at...

The Coral Reef - The service was beyond awful. We waited FOREVER even though we had reservations, and were told if we left we would be charged a fee becasue we had the Candle Light dinner package at Christmas time. We litterally waited 2 hours for our table, later to be told by our waiter it was becasue we were a party of 2 and they have limited 2 seater tables available. We missed the Candle Light Processional, and the food was cold and awful. DH had to argue with a manager about paying for the event we missed. Never again!

The only one that really stands out to me is San Angel Inn because the food is so bland. Have been three times over the years thinking it would get better but it hasn't. I will never waste my money there again, and I wouldn't waste a free dining meal there either.:lmao: Disney would have to give me a bonus meal there. :rotfl2:

I agree with this completely! We had one of the best tables and the atmosphere was breath taking, but the food was absolutely horrible! I wouldn't waste a free dining TS credit for it again! :scared1:

Wow, what a great topic!

I totally agree that no matter what you read, you do have to experience things for yourself, unless a specific one keeps showing up - like Hollywood & Vine.

I'm very surprised Sci-Fi and Rose & Crown made the list. These 2 restaurants are always part of my Disney trips. Including lunch at Le Chef (the day we arrive) and Tutto Italia.

The only place I've had a bad food experience at is Yak and Yeti.
Maybe it was an off day, but I'm not willing to go back and find out.
It's not my favorite type of food to begin with.

This year is the first time I have Tony's on the itinerary. I'm going to read a bit more about the place before I decide to keep the reservation.

Just curious, I've read here on another topic that 'Ohana and Le Celliar are the top ADR request. I'm surprised to find 'Ohana on the "bad" list being that it's so popular. Any more thoughts on this place?

I know a lot of folks will not agree with me, but my never again place is Flame Tree BBQ in AK....we had lunch there last year and I was looking forward to it....maybe is was an off day...but the food was terrible....what was suppose to be hot, was cold, and my sandwich was tasteless....even the dessert was horrible. I was really disappointed, but No, I didn't say anything because we were on the DDP.....I ate what I could. I'm not fond of any food at AK...this year we are going to Rainforest...I know the salads are good

I would also be interested to know if people would really not eat here if being paid real cash money to do so. I can understand being turned off by service/atmosphere/value/etc, but what about Ohana makes it a negative value?

Seriously?! Chef Mickeys is one of our favorites! The service was excellent, the food was delic! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The characters went out of their way to be accommodating. Not loving these negative posts -

We love Chef Mickey's also! *shrug* Each to their own.

Hands down Tony's ..awful food, awful service. tried it twice to make sure was not a bad night and no second time worse then the first.

I think I'm going to make other plans for Tony's. Seems to be a solid NO. There's so many good places to eat. Thanks for the feedback.

I am a little surprised at some of the responses but that is what makes WDW what it is. There is something for everyone and some places are not for everyone.

I am in agreement with Tony's. Not impressed at all. Also had dinner at Coral Reef and was not enthusiased. We might have caught them both on a bad day but with so many other places to eat it is not somewhere we really want to run and go back to. Bad service, food was fair.

I think you'll find all restaurants on someone's worst list, and most on someone else's best list. Much of the experience is dependent upon variables.

That said, I wouldn't go back to the luau if it were free, totally not worth it to me/my family and we left early. Too hot, too loud, too hokey, food just ok. Our server was super nice, but the experience as a whole was lousy.

Hollywood and Vine was a pretty big fail as well. Although DD had fun in the parade, the food was sparse and not very good or hot.

1900 Park Fare was awful for us, but almost everything was specific to that day. Rude CMs, terrible server who absolutely hounded us for a tip before we even had a bill, had seen characters, or even eaten much (if it happened today, I would complain to the management, as she wasn't very Disney). Characters were awesome, food was lousy. I eat a wide variety of food, and found yummy stuff everywhere else we ate, but I found myself eating from the kids buffet here. For the cost and aggravation, I certainly would have wanted more than chicken nuggets.

They would need to pay me to go to any of the buffets in Disney. My price would be even higher for a buffet, during the summer in any of the theme parks. We've done them before and I don't find anything appealing about having sweaty commando style folks who've been running around the park all day standing in front of you loading up their plates. The odor can kill an appetite pretty quickly. When they started picking at the food with their hands I knew it was time to leave. No thank you.

Another vote for 'Ohana. Our experiences there have been miserable, with cold food and poor service. :crazy2: The last time we were there our table was never bussed, drinks were never refilled, the steak was like shoe leather and the chicken was undercooked. :scared1: I don't think they could pay us enough to ever try it again, our vacation time is too precious to waste on an experience like that.

I agree that every restaurant will be on someone's favorite and least favorite list..to each their own.

I think in general Tony's would be a place I would avoid if possible, so many better places to go..but if we were hungry and there was a table there, we would eat and leave satisfied. Not enthused but satisfied.

Ohana for breakfast is one of our favorites, so much fun and love the breads and juice. We were excited to go for dinner but this was the ONLY meal in Disney I actually asked for my money back. It was absolutely awful. In fact I asked the waiter if we could get something at Kona and have it at our table. Honestly..one of the worst meals I've EVER had..Disney or elsewhere. I think that is the only meal I've ever requested a refund now that I think about it. Maybe we caught it on an off day, but it was inedible.

Good idea. Run and dont look back! Trust me on this! :rotfl:

Oh i couldnt agree more. Just YUCK :crazy2:

Boatwrights was disgusting and the smell was just awful. It smelled musty.

I wouldn't eat there even if they paid me. Just blah!

We like the show at the Spirit of Aloha, but we did not like the food. :-(

T-rex is another we are cancelling because we have been there twice and both times we did not finish our food and it was soggy. Tried to be fun for the kids and environment, but yuck!

I've honestly never had a bad meal at wdw. Some are obviously better than others but none that were downright horrible.

For my family it would be Liberty Tree Tavern, especially without the characters! The food tasted like something I could get out of the frozen section at the grocery. This was our first ever Ts meal at Disney. Now don't get me wrong the good was edible snd we loved the colonial characters. I just can't imagine going without thee characters.
