On our recent return flight home, we were waiting to board with the rest of the herd. It was a Delta shuttle, just 6 seats across.
I spot two kids with clear plastic bags slung over their shoulders. One of them had the giant sized Eeyore, the other Tigger. I'm thinking "no way they can carry these on." I'm also thinking that we'd better board before they do.
Sure enough, they came on after us and their Dad managed to squeeze them into two overhead compartments. It worked out, but I was very surprised that they were allowed to bring them on. I've seen people stopped with smaller items than those.
Maybe it was the "squish" factor?
