We actually got an email saying that there is absolutely no chance that we will get sent home early. I did a lot of work before I went to lunch, but now that I'm back in the office, all I want to do is drive home.

I just called my husband and he said it was quiet there. That's good because he doesn't have anyone bothering him and he gets twice the amount of work done or more. No meetings on a day before a holiday usually.

I got out early, but I had the most aggravating half-day of work ever this morning. All I'll say about it is that some of the people I have to work with should learn to treat other people with respect. And some others (well, one of them) need to stop lying all the time if they expect to have any credibility.

I want to be thankful to have a decent job in this economy, but man after what I went through this morning, it'll be tough to feel that way tomorrow.

Maybe this will help you feel better. We know a family that has to schedule their Thanksgiving dinner much later than desired because the dad is a college football coach (small school - no chance at post-season) and he has called a mandatory practice on Thanksgiving. I think it's crazy.

That's insane! What about players who go home for the holiday? They have to stick around and miss going home to their families for football practice??
