I understand that business side. I guess what I envision is a nice aesthetically pleasing table with 3 "slots" if you will. One for each FP. You can select an attraction and a time. If no times are available, it won't let you select a time but it still may list the attraction. Or perhaps you can sort by attractions with times available or show all attractions (much like searching hotels.com or something).
What you describe is much more like the ADR system, which is what I initially expected this to be more like. Maybe they'll get there eventually but I suspect they'll still want some control, at least over the majority of guests.
Maybe it could be more like Turbo Tax you pick an easy route, where they suggest an itinerary; OR you can pick "I'll do it myself" and pick specific times for specific rides.
