is mostly in the mind.
After playing basketball in the heat for 2 hours with my son (at an altitude of 7500 feet), I tend to disagree with that statement.
Every joint, every bone, every muscle in my body is wondering why I'm mad at them.
Why did my son have to get interested in basketball, why couldn't he have developed an interest in Tiddly-winks or stamp collecting? Why can't he be content to sit and play video games all day? Alas, the joys of being a parent.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I need to go lay down for a while.

Wowsers! Playing in the summer in Mexican heat and Mexico's city high altitude! How do you manage that for 2 hours???

When people tell me I'm "getting old", I tell them they can take the "getting" out:lmao::rotfl2:

At 7500 feet altitude in 70% humidity and hot sun, ANYONE over 30 would feel "old" after play basketball for two hours!!!!

Our home in Evergreen, CO was at 7200 feet and walking the dog was a chore!

Yeah - not wise in the heat & altitude!

DH used to be an excellent bowler. He bowled with a group from work and limped for 2 weeks after (& he scored terribly too) Insult and injury!
