Not the biggest Dolly fan,so this may be commonly known, but Jolene was written about a Bank teller(name unknown)who would flirt with Carl.

And Jolene was the name of an 8 years old girl Dolly met at a concert.

She told the little girl she loved the name and was going to use it in a song.
