Our first Dismeet was so very brief, but so very wonderful at the same time! I was so happy to get to meet all of you, and I'm even happier we hung out more later in our trips!
P.S. No shame in your cinnamon roll for breakfast. I had a cup of Butterbeer ice cream for breakfast last month at Diagon Alley, sugar overload to start the day!
I know! I was so happy we were able to meet, and it was crazy how much more we ended up seeing each other during the trip. I'm so glad we got to do it and I really hope we're there together again sometime in the future.
I am so excited to try to butterbeer ice cream, you have no idea. I'm just excited to be going in November. It can't come soon enough.
I liked your Mine Train spoiler alert. I kinda wish I could go back in time and give myself a spoiler alert: It's not going to soft open, EVER. Poof, do something else with your precious hours of vacation time.
Ugh, don't I know it. I wish I would have just trusted my instincts that it was definitely going to be open on the 24 hour day, which I truly new in my heart, and gotten back several hours of my vacation.
I'm a HUGE Philharmagic fan too! I just wish they kept the theater as cold as they used to. It takes most of the movie before you've really cooled off now.
The cake cups are amazing! As someone who discards the bottom of a cupcake most of the time, a frosting-based dessert is perfect. I just wish they kept the birthday cake one in rotation more of the time. That's been my favorite one so far and I've yet to find it again.
It's a must do for me, every time. Cannot miss it. But of course, being a huge Donald fan, I don't think it would be acceptable for me to miss it.
Yeah, I just use the sandwich option normally, so that I get a better frosting to cupcake ratio, but the cake cups are perfect! And the birthday cake one is still the best one. I wish they still had it. I haven't found it again either.
Oh and those Gaston selfies are priceless! He's my favorite friend of Gaston, totally makes it one of the best M&Gs in the park!
He's so awesome. I hope to find him again in November.
Day 4: Rest Day & The Ditch
We are one of those "No Sleep in Disney" families. I totally get it when people take a down day relaxing at the resort, but it just doesn't happen with us! It is a miracle when I can even get my family to the pool.. But I love that you had a nice quiet morning hanging out at the pool with your mom.
We used to be like that, but I just like to be more relaxed now. We only do a resort day on trips that are 9 or 10 days long. Anything less than that and I don't do it. We had a great morning though.
Lunch from BW bakery looked great! Drooling here over your salted caramel chocolate ganache dessert- possibly the 4 greatest words together in the English language!
The only disappointing thing was the fact that it wasn't just salted caramel chocolate! Like, why did you have to put that passion fruit business at the bottom! It was just weird.
I agree, your picture of the Imagination pyramids is AWESOME!
Also love the F&G magic shots with the butterflies.
Nice time at The Ditch. Don't know if anyone has made this comment since I am just reading the links, but after some of the things I have seen parents do in Disney, I am not surprised about the unsupervised kids there. In the parents defense- the place is called "The Ditch" and that is exactly what they did!
Yum- all of those Margaritas sound yummy!
LOL on your beer drinking contest and at your glitter-filled "ending"
That picture turned out so awesome, and I didn't even plan it. LOL. I never really plan out my pictures, I'm bad like that.
Hahahaha, I guess that could be where the name The Ditch came from.
It was a crazy day with a crazy ending, I'll tell you that much.
