I bet changing into that SW skirt and tank felt so good! I made the mistake of wearing a navy colored T-shirt and Jeans and cowboy boots in September. I would have killed for a tank and shorts after a few hours.

How is the running training going? I started using "Charity Miles", an app on my phone. It makes those extra miles you have been logging go a long way for different charities.

I heard that the line on the farthest right hand side in the Great Movie Ride is the one that will get the Cowboy. Did you ask for that line or was the whole thing random?

I really want to tour the Art of Animation resort some day. It is just so hard to get there when you have to depend on Disney transportation. I've never been to any of the value or moderate resorts, except when our Magical Express makes a trip there, and that doesn't count.

Are you still planning on running the Princess Half? There are quite a few Dis-er's planning to be there.

I would have waited, but you know, I'm a bit of a crazy. We did wait 2 hours for Jack and Sally though, so it makes sense.

Glad your mom went back to rest if she wasn't feeling well.

I like the little message, it's pretty cute.

There's a bond you form with your fellow resort guests while waiting for a bus at the end of a long day.

I did know what S.O.S was but my grandpa called it for somethign different. Toast covered in cream of mushroom soup with ham and peas.

Michigan has many treasures that I now miss.

I just bulked at the price of the shower curtain. Way too much.

Looks like a good variety of food there.

Hahaha, I know exactly what S.O.S. is short for. Except that's what my in laws refer to creamed chipped beef as. Same principle. Pasty looking white gunk that looks like something you'd see in a rooftop. (Albeit, a delicious something you'd fine on a rooftop......the food, I mean...)

Hahaha, I figured you would know! I think that my Pop referred to biscuits and gravy and chipped beef on toast as SOS. It just makes me laugh.

Oh, yay, Art of Animation! Isn't Art great? The theming in each place is incredible. I bet Disney actually sells a lot of those shower curtain....crazy!



The Landscape of Flavors blows all other value food courts out of the water. Such an eclectic and tasty selection of food.

I loved that resort! Exploring it was so much fun, I'm glad we got to stay there for the night. I'm sure they do sell a lot of them! Believe me, it's tempting. But I have other things to spend my money on.

So true, the variety at Landscapes of Flavor was just great.

However, that brownie looks like it's got too much going on. It couldn't make up its mind what it wanted to taste like. (I feel like an 8 year old kid got free reign in the AoA kitchen and this is what they came up with.)

That brownie did have a little too much going on. It was good, it was just a little too much for my liking. It's kind of like the kitchen sink brownie.

I really want to find more time to wander around Art of Animation. I only got to VERY briefly in August and there is just so much cool stuff to see. I thought maybe we'd stay a night or two there next May, but our Boardwalk waitlist (renting points) came through, so that's not to be. Oh, well, someday...

Looks like fun at SWW. I am excited to maybe see you wearing one of those dresses next May! Dug is so excited for SWW. I am not terribly into Star Wars (not opposed to it), but I still love all the fun stuff they do in DHS.

Glad you had some good meals at the food courts. I wanted to grab a lunch at AoA in August, but I was in such a hurry to get to the ME to leave that I only got a cheesy pesto bread on the run (good, but yours looks better!)

There is so much to see there! I'm glad we got the opportunity to stay there. Yay for your BW wait list coming through! My wait list for the Beach Club came through for May, which is super exciting. You guys will have fun, there's so much going on during SWW.

The options for food at AoA are really great. It's an awesome food court.

I still haven't gotten over to check out AoA, yet. It's been on the list, and I've heard great things about the food court there. Your r2 skirt is fabulous, and I'm glad you were able to find something to wear that was a bit cooler!

The options there were really nice. When I stay at a new resort and the food court has good selections, I always make it a point to eat there during my stay.

The mother was there, she was just a little further in the bushes quacking at them to get the hell out of there.

That's so cool how you've gotten the Cowboy side TWICE. I wish I had that luck, of course I've only gone about 1/100th the amount of trips that you have. So excited for all the TCM changes. I agree, it would be awesome if they updated the whole ride not just the pre-show and the ending movie montage. I think a lot needs to be updated, not with new movies, but movies that are still relevant to film today like Gone With The Wind or The Godfather. Still love it anyways!

We got the Cowboy again in January! I've been having some major cowboy luck lately. And even more cowboy luck today when they lost to the Packers.

You're so right, it hard to walk around there and not take a ton of pictures! The resort is one of the best to document, so Disney.

We did do a good job of moving fast!

Darth's Mall was an in and out kind of thing. I knew exactly where the merchandise I wanted was, so it made it a lot better.

It was a lot hotter than it should have been that week! I was expecting low 80s, but it was already 90 degrees!

AOA was the very first Disney Resort we stayed in a few years ago, and it is responsible for our overall Disney Resort obsession. Such a cute place! I love how the Cars section looks at night - you feel like you're right in the movie!

Tie dyed cheesecake is pretty yummy. It's not much more than regular cheesecake, but the colors just make it fun.

It was so nice to be in lighter clothes, but you know when you reach the point where you're already sweating a lot and changing doesn't even really help much right away? That's what it was like.
