So I had booked a trip on Disney Fantasy during Spring Break 2026. I had done this last winter after my father died on Christmas Eve. As the time has approached, we realized this wasn’t the best time for us to go and decided to cancel. Except I MISSED our cancellation window. I thought it was a day later than it actually was. I immediately called Disney to see what our options were and they have offered to reinstate the cruise at the price I paid if I paid in full today. Which is what I ended up doing. But, on one hand it’s been a crappy year and I’m thrilled to go, on the other hand, that’s $8000 we had not been planning to spend. (I was going to completely lose $1600 in deposit otherwise) So I’m waffling between dread and excitement, we can afford it, even though it’s tight. Give me all the good vibes and wishes on a spring break Disney Fantasy trip! our last cruise was 2 years ago in May on the Wish!

First I hope it is Spring Break 2026! And the Fantasy is awesome! There is never a perfect time for anything, so just enjoy it. Not sure your ship experiences, each ship is special in its own way. Get excited!!

I wouldn’t let a death get in the way of Disney, as long as your mental health is in check and you feel ok. In all honesty, dedicate the cruise to Dad! I’m so sorry for your loss.

I love the Fantasy! It is my favorite ship and I love the adult areas SO much. Its a perfect ship for you to take time and enjoy yourself and try to heal. I am so very sorry for your loss and hopefully you can enjoy the cruise and take time for yourself.
