They closed my TDS

I was there three weeks ago, and there was nothing indicating it was closing. I did not see anything anywhere saying it was going to close. It was one of the BIG huge gallery stores, and I loved going there to see the art and figurines I am so bummed

I hadn't been to my mall in ages, but I took the girls shopping last night.

I was so relieved to see that my TDS is still open. I asked if they're going to be closed and they said so far so good.

Sorry Glo. You can come shopping at mine.

SUre reg, I would love that but thtis stinks...the Natick TDS was awesome, all the other ones around here are mall ones and are tiny, and all 45 minutes away? I wanted to replace my stolen camouflage Mickey today too

Glo - you were lucky to still have a store with a gallery - ours shut down quite a while back - and they changed all of them to what I call glorified toy stores - I don't go and visit as often as I used to and when I do I'm hard pressed to find something to buy - a sad situation with their marketing plans.

I know the feeling, there was a Disney Gallery here in MI (i know that their aren't that many) and they closed it one day suddenly and all of the pretty art work and amazingly cool stuff was all replaced with kids pjs, sheets, and bedding stuff. Bummer.

The information I get from friends I used to work with at the Natick TDS is that they will be re-opening IN the mall as a regular TDS. I think they said something about opening in the fall. Unfortunately, the Gallery stores are disappearing one by one. A sign of the times I guess.

they took our Gallery store away over a year ago. I don't even go in TDS anymore.

Sorry to say there isn't much in them anyway any longer. And they are all supposed to be gone by 2006, as it stands now.

why is Disney planning on getting rid of all their Disney stores?? I can always count on the one close to me to make me smile (or almost cry depending on my mood)...i would be heartbroken for it to be taken away.
