They are giving Nancy the flag...

It was so touching, so sad :( I know it's sad, but it's so nice to see such true love.

"On my birthday, he always sent my mother flowers to thank her for having me",

That has to be one of the sweetest things I've ever read.

I really believe that through his death, our nation is stronger. That as we came together and watched, mourned, and comforted each other and learned more about him as a President, their love story and about him as a father, that even if for a moment, our country is a bit stronger. It is up to us, as a people, what we shall do will with what we have learned about how one man's legacy could and should inspire us to move forward.

What an incredibly sad moment! Mrs. Reagan looked so heartbroken and so lost without Ronnie. What a love story they shared!! May God give her the strength to get through this most difficult time.

They should have turned the cameras off and given them a private minute at the end. Or just showed it from a distance. I noticed the cameras clicking too, they had to be aware of it.

I agree, as I was crying and trying to hide it (that was a joke in itself) I kept trying to say to my husband, see, that's what I mean, they aren't giving her any privacy. Course talking made me cry all the more! It really upset me. I just hope that she was able to go back for a little alone time. Can you imagine trying to bury someone with the world watching? It seems so unfair.

Through out the day I kept hearing,,how can she stand to say GOODBYE so many times she must be exhausted etc,, I feel she would have gone on for days and days not to have to come to THAT FINAL moment, when they gave her the flag,,,she looked so SHOCKED at the end,,even knowing his soul was gone days ago,,,it was the LAST of the LONG GOODBYE!!! and yes the cameras drove me nuts too,,,,

GOD BLESS her!!!

:( Just came back from work, had to be there at 4:00am. I only got 2 hours of sleep, pictures of Nancy in my mind all night.:( What will she do now?

It appears that this Love Story will be continued when Nancy herself passes away and enters into God's Kingdom :D. God Bless her. I am so happy to have learned this past week that President Reagan was a Christian-he is now beholding the face of God, and out of pain. May the Holy Ghost comfort her.
