They added some more Free dining dates!

Thanks, guess I was thinking if I was booked March 17-25 (which would mean I was paying for the night of the 24th) that it would be included since that date is included in the free dining. Wishful thinking I guess

I bet they changed the March dates from March 10 to March 8 because a lot of Spring Breakers were coming in on the 10th and taking advantage for the whole next week. Luckily we are coming on March 7th so it would not have mattered either way (and I'm already booked :cool1:)

Just tried to change my arrival to 11/26 instead of 11/27, but POFQ doesn't have anything available :sad1:. Now I need to decide if we'll stay off-site that night, or if we'll stay at another resort (like AKL if we can afford it).... original plan was to stay off-site, but I'm not sure if I'm happy with that plan.

Well good thing we booked when we did I guess, cause now our check-in date is blacked out (11/6). Also, we are doing the inaugural Fantasy cruise on 3/31 and planned 1 night at WDW beforehand. I would have booked the free dining that night for lack of another discount, but didn't do it because I wanted to be sure my husband will be able to get the 29th off. Anyway, now those dates are gone too.

can you change your dates? that's always an option if the rooms are available.

probably.. but thats good that you were already booked!! don't make any changes!! ;)

did you try POR? that's right next to POFQ.

Whew! Good thing I called just a couple of days ago and added another day on to the end of our holiday that is starting Feb 4! I actually would have been rather miffed if by adding the day, and therefore increasing our Disney bill, would have meant not being eligible for free dining anymore when it had been originally booked almost a month ago.

just got off the phone with ressies to change ours from room only to another FD day, ALRIGHT!!!! Now, we have 7 nights FD!! what a pleasant surprise!!

So, we have 2 rooms reserved from Oct. 2-9. I would love to change that to Oct. 1-8. Since we're already within the 45 day window and I'm talking about adding a day before as opposed to after, would they charge me a $400 cancellation fee or would they just let me change the dates?

I know I could just call Disney, but I think there's a good chance you guys will know more than the CM I might get :goodvibes

TIA!

Yes, you can modify your reservations if the resort/room type is available. However, if the price of the package goes down, it's a $50 fee (per package)...and if the price goes up, no fee.

I tried to change our reservation as well but there was no availability for the 22nd at CSR or POFQ. CBR has availability but we have a very full, complicated and tiring trip planned so I don't think it's the right time to try a new resort.

Will keep checking though, maybe we'll get lucky!

Wooohoooo you guys rock...

Just left AAA office where he told me free dining was sold out for my dates and good thing I booked it on my own...ummmm no its not I tried to tell him...but he said they sell out fast...ok whatever...we talked a room only reservation for first night and he was going to book it for me for $96 but I would have to pay the entire thing...(the 96) so I decided to wait a few days (till my cc closing date lol). I come back to work and low and behold my peps tell me my first night is now included. So I just called to change my reservation...added the first night for an extra $106.22 so $10 more then the AAA room only rate but 6 QS meals and 3 snacks...i think that is worth it...plus we will get our mugs at check in and I wont have to recheck in 2nd days and we will be able to go to the park the first day (there was a questions as to if I could pick up my tix early)...so you people rock!!!!!!!!

On a side note CM from disney tried to tell me there was no rooms available for this extra night...but I knew there was cause I just looked online and I told him I could just rebook and cancel. He finally figured out that I had the old codes on my reservation so first night was not an option. He put me on hold and figured it out :)

I booked when the original dates were released. We check in Feb 18th so we got free dining. I now see that date has been removed. I'm not worried about losing my free dining on that reservation except for the fact that I booked for just DH and I and now I'm thinking about adding my daughter and niece. Will adding people cause me to loose the free dining since that date has been removed?

How many nights do you have to stay in order to take advantage of free dining? We are planning a short trip from Oct 20-24. As the last 2 nights now fall under free dining I tried pricing a 2 night package out on Disney's web site, but it won't let me. Do you have to stay at least 4 nights?

I booked a package with free dining last week and I booked more nights then we are actually planning on staying. Reason being my husbands company is very funny about guaranteeing time off in advance because they schedule meetings he HAS to be at on fairly short notice. Also, this is our first trip as a family of 5 and we have to stay at POR to stay in the budget. I figured this would give us a little wiggle room on dates. My question is if I cut some of the days off the beginning or end of the trip after the free dining booking window but before our 45 day mark will that be ok? Hope this makes sense and thanks for any help with this.:)

You have to stay 3 nights.

Why do they keep changing? When it was first released it was different dates then within hours they changed and now changed again? Whats the deal? I booked CSR with a room only for 10/22 and FD package from 10/23 on. I called today to add my 10/22 to the package and no go, not even if I switch to another mod (I know someone said CBR was open but they didn't even offer me that). So annoying why not just release the right dates from the start? We are on the DXDP so while the extra credits would have been fine, I don't think we will "need them" I would have just liked to not have to check out and back in on the 23rd so darn annoying!!

O, also I ahve friends who booked 11/4 - 11/11, I noticed now that it's 11/3 so as long as they don't make any changes their reservation will be honored right?

If you make a change to the reservation under the OLD free dining dates, you will probably lose the free dining. UNLESS your new dates fall under the new dates and there is availability at the resort you are currently booked at.
Just because you are booked now, doesn't necessarily mean you can switch over and get the free dining, the allot a certain amount of rooms for that promotion and once they're gone, they're gone, even if you are currently booked there. Hope that makes sense.

I know its aggravating.. who knows why they do it. :confused3

As long as your friends DO NOT make a change to their reservations, they will be fine and the free dining will be offered.

So glad I booked mine the day it came out. Our Dec. 16 arrival is now blacked out.
