Morning guys! I was out all day yesterday at my dad's work picnic at mu Uncle Frank's farm. I always get recruited to do the food for him. It's the least I can do seeing as how my dad paid to put me through culinary school and now I work at a bank.

It was a Luau theme so we had roasted chicken with an orange, pineapple glaze with peppers and onions, a roasted pig, tropical ambrosia, various salads, pineapple upside down cake, key lime pie and a ton of cookies....

It was a fun time. I'm sad though because it looks like my uncle may be selling the farm soon, so it might have been the last picnic there. They have an awesome pool with a slide and it goes to like 12 feet deep so you can dive and stuff.

I'm definitely gonna miss it if they sell.

We'll Jason just left. At 11:50 he has a flight to Winnipeg for a meeting in the morning.
But on the plus side he'll be back late tomorrow.

So today to keep busy, the kids and I are starting to pack for the cottage..we leave on Wednesday afternoon...I'm excited!
I do however need to get a new bag or suitcase for Ethan is has completely outgrown the last one..or rather his clothes have gotten larger and they no longer fit. And on top of that the zipper is now finally and official broken on mine...so a little shopping today I think. We are heading into the city anyways for our regular sunday dinner at grandma's house so we might just go earlier. I'll get the new bags for this trip to the cottage and of course I'll need them for all future vacations as well. So not a waste by any means.

And in other wonderful news. Malik is being released form the hospital today and is coming home. God most definitely heard all your prayers...thanks so much for every one of them.

Great news about Milak Lake. I can't believe he is going home already. That is awesome.

Not much going on here today. DH is working. The kids and I just got home from Church and the grocery store. DS7 has his first non-family sleepover tonight. I think he'll be fine. I might not be, but he will.

Lake - that's great news about little Malik! I'm so happy that he's doing well.

Shelly - I'm in the same boat as you are with your DH's company. My dad's said that the company usually bills $300,000 a month and he said that he hasn't had a month that touches that all year.... Last month they billed $40,000 worth of work and that is it.

It is really scary. Not only will Bob be out of a job, but so will my dad and my uncles. And they won't even be able to file for any kind of unemployment because they're owners.

So, if anyone has any printing or laminating needs for their work or their DH's work - send them our way.

They do some of the printing for American Eagle, GNC, Del Monte and Delallo. So I know that they ship all across the country and into Canada.

American Eagle! I get stuff from them in the mail all the time! Does your family print that stuff? GNC too, because I am a vitamin, health nut, aunt granola sort, ya know!

Holy Crap RF!!!

My DH is a graphic designer and he works at a printing company! And the same sort of thing is happening there! Luckily, the account that DH works on is still going strong...DH is kind of keeping the department going at this point. I can't imagine the pressure!

My brother is graphic designer who works for a company that shall remain nameless as I do not know their name. He works on the P&G account for a Big Box company located in northwest Arkansas, that shall remain nameless also.

NC - mostly they do the signs that get hung in the stores. Like the 'Try Muscle Milk' or 'Aerie flirty boyshorts 3 for $20' and all of the little cards that have the sizes near the clothes and stuff....

And I am constantly seeing the huge banners that they hang in the stores of girls sitting around in their underwear in the dorm rooms or whatever. Because we all sit around in our underwear with our friends..... That's the kind of stuff that they do. Mostly in store, but sometimes stuff that gets sent out...
