What is the size of a typical cab? Is it just a 4 door car? I doubt all of our luggage would fit in the trunk of a car. But like you said we could hold some for all the longer it is going to take to get there. I am just wondering if it is a car would they take all 4 of us? Do they let someone sit up front? Or maybe we would need a van taxi? Is there such a thing?![]()
There are taxi vans that are around WDW. We took one from BC to POP one night after an Illuminations cruise. If you need a large taxi like a van, the valet or maybe luggage services could call one for you.
You know when the newcrews are in hurry, we like a taxi! Pronto!!!
This past year, we didn't like the idea of having to load onto Magical Express at the required time, so we took a taxi from Magic Kingdom to POP! The kids and I sat in the taxi while DH picked up our carry-on items from luggage services. He then jumped back in the cab and we hauled booty to the airport!!!
This was not cheap, but DH didn't mind springing for it as we figured it gave us an extra 2 hours in Magic Kingdom which is priceless! He's sweet like that!
When we take a cab, DH sits up front, and the kids and I sit in the back 3 across.
Most cabs from one location to another at WDW usually run around $15 plus tip. You might run a little more if you run into traffic or something. We have taken them a park at closing when the line for our resort was too long and never had traffic issues.
There are just moments that my husband says, "I am NOT riding the "FREE" bus. We're taking a cab." (He has this issue about "FREE" WDW transportation or "FREE" Magical Express, because nothing in life is free, your just paying for it one way or the other!)
I think a lot of cabs are like a Ford Crown Victoria which is a big car.
Here's an idea

Your DH could take the luggage, check-in, and un-pack while you and the kids go to a park!
Do you think that could happen?
