As I am stalking the Disney website not so patiently waiting for the November hours to magically show up I had a thought. . .

Right now I am booked at POR for 8 nights with Free Dining. . . There is also a nearly 40% room discount out there for my dates. . . So if I cut back my POR/free dining portion of the trip to 6 nights and then transfer to a deluxe for the last 2 nights my total difference is about $60 more. . . BUT there would be no free dining for those last 2 nights/3days. Which is basically just 2 days because we plan on flying home early that last day.

So what do you think???

My choices for a deluxe with the discount would be - AKL, WL, OKW, or SSR. So for me it would be either WL or OKW. Not too interested in the other two.

Haven't exactly run this by DH yet. Just a thought I'm having (and sharing with the MAYers) right now. It might sound stupid to me after I read this post!

A travesty is going to occur on Opening day, though.

I'm going to be in Charleston for my cousin's wedding that weekend. I will miss opening day with Mark and the kids in the new room with the speakers.



I told my Mom-- the good Southern Baptist raised, never had a drink in her life woman who doesn't have cable, internet or satellite b/c they're all evil-- that we were going to miss the game b/c of her Christian leaning ways- and that the only way we'd get to see it is if we went to a bar to watch it...

Know what that little old lady said???

"I'll go with you."




I said "MOMMA!!!!!!!!!!! You won't get cable or satellite b/c of all the 'filth' (her word, not mine) on it, and yet you'd go to a BAR to see the game? What is WRONG with you?"

ANd she said "Nothing's wrong. Jesus will understand- we're going to support Tebow."


I said "Knowing you- you'll end up ordering tea and they'll bring you a Long Island Iced Tea- and you'll like it so much that you'll be back the week after in order to 'support 'Tebow."


So much for her good girl ways.

I am going to call tomorrow and see what I can find out. See if I did my math correct and see what is available.

DH said he didn't care. If I didn't think that a split stay would be too inconvenient. I'm still not sure how inconvenient it will be. At first he was like - no way, I'm not giving up free dining for the last 2 nights!! Then he started to see things my way!

I will probably scratch dinner at the Turf Club and we will pay OOP for our CP breakfast.

Leaning towards OKW right now. The last 2 days were going to be spent as - Friday- free day/resort day/swimming and then DTD in the evening. And Saturday - early CP breakfast/MK until about 2 or 3. So either OKW or WL will work!

Our kids slept till about 8 a.m., and as you know that is late for them. Sorry you missed church. Didn't mean to keep you "OUT" so late!!!!

We did go up the incline afterwards, and got a good view of the city all lit up at night. I'll post pics once I am home.
Good news too Mayers, after accidently dropping my camera on the cement by the fountain, I did get it working again. So happy about that.

I loved meeting you all, and I hope we can do it again sometime.
The invite to visit us is always there.

This morning we visited the Senator heinz history museum ( an antiques roadshow type show was doing a stop there!!!) CRAZY BUSY!!!!!, then we walked around downtown, and then drove out to Coraopolis this afternoon and took in Target. Bought some of the kids back-to-school stuff...they like getting it there. That way it's different from everyone else's at school.

Tomorrow we will head back to the city, and see the Carnegie Science Center, and let the kids run and play before we head home, and trap them for another 5 hours in the car.


Okay...the kids are bugging to go in the pool... so I guess I should run... I'll check back in later.
