Alaska Wonder Aug Cruise

You do need to pack for multiple occasions. It might be 80 and sunny in port one day, then 40s and windy the next day near the glacier. Because of the ocean and mountain ranges all near each other, weather varies a lot. Rain pants are overkill, but I would suggest an umbrella or poncho for port days. Jeans and comfortable sneakers will be appropriate for 95% of excursions, and the remaining 5% will warn you if you need something like boots.

The chance of using the pool is small, but you might get in on the first or last days if Vancouver is warm enough. The hot tubs will be used every day.

The best suggestion is layers. Bring short and long sleeve tees, sweaters/sweatshirts, and rain jackets. Winter coats or pants are overkill, unless you're doing an excursion that specifically visits snow.

As far as mobility goes, all the ports are generally accessible. It's the US, so ADA rules apply like your hometown. Some historic buildings will require climbing a few stairs to enter. Busses and excursions are mostly accessible, but check the details for each one.

I also have a question about what to pack but for DINING.
Is it more casual?
Do they have a formal night?
not that I have been on DCL to Alaska (I went on one ways on RCL), but if I was sweaty or wet from the day's adventures, I just wanted to be out of those clothes.....anything besides my sweaty or wet clothes were ok....I did wear nicer jeans and a shirt I wouldn't go on a walk on a hot day if that makes sense.....

They will have a formal and semi-formal night, but participation is optional (you don't have to dress that way to eat at the MDRs).

For dinning at the MDR's you will see people dressed anywhere from full on formal (Tux and formal dresses) to casual (shorts and t-shirts) and anything in-between. There will be people who dress up each night and others who only dress up on formal and semi-formal night. Then there is me, who doesn't do dress up, it makes me very uncomfortable, so I'm normally in shorts and a t-shirt or shorts and a polo shirt, while my wife will wear a nice shirt and either jeans or comfy pants.
