Shelly-- have you heard anything about a Seneca Valley student dying last week????? My Girlfiend just emailed me and didn't know the name of the girl-- if you know her name- could you pm me? It was an 8th grade girl- and we're afraid MCat might know her.

Thanks.

Jo

No, I hadn't heard that. That's terrible, what happened? I will ask DH. Maybe he has heard something being that he works so close to there. I think he would have said something though. If he doesn't know I'm sure someone at his work will know.

Shelly-
as far as I know- it's very sad--
she committed suicide- b/c of bullying that had been going on since the 5th grade. She was a soccer student. MCat just got home. She' s going to call her friends up there and see if she can get the name.

My girlfriend said that the authorities know who the bullies were- they've got the emails and texts.

I've tried to find info online- but came up with nothing- so IDK what the deal is.

MCat knew a ton of girls on the soccer team, too.:sad1:

So very awful.

If you find anything out- please let me know.

Thanks --
Jo

OMG JO that is so sad. Why are girls so mean? Get this. DS is in 4th grade. I am going on his field trip in a few weeks. So he got to pick 5 kids to be in his group that I will be in charge of. He was making his picks (in private with the teacher) and he picked this one girl. His teacher says that's a good idea to pick her because some of the other girls aren't so nice to her. Well I know this little girl, she was at his birthday party. She is very shy and very pretty. Bad combination for bullies. I told DH if I catch girls being mean to her I am going to take them in the bathroom and give them an attitude adjustment! :rotfl:

Well, I will try my best to make sure the ground stays in one place for you.

Heck, I need to use this stuff next time for the chips!

:lmao::cool1::rotfl2::rotfl:

Sea--- please do me a favor and request that no shaking go on while I am in Cali. 'Kay, thanks. :scared1::scared1::scared1:

And speaking of shaking--- during the last shaker, you guys had chips fall to their death from the top of the refrigerator --- you haven't placed them in a safer spot? Have ya gotten a look at the price of some Funions lately??????:upsidedow

J-

Hey all....

RF -YAY your back!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for a TR..... YAY.......

Lake - COngrats of finding your maybe new home so fast. I'm praying that everything goes smoothly for the buying of the house....

Jo - Shelly - It's horrible the way girls act now a days. Girls are so mean......

It's amazing to me what kids will say in texts or emails that they would NEVER say to someone's face!

That is so sad!

Shelly- I found that, unfortunately, girls are so much meaner and nastier than boys are. MCat had an exceptionally nasty time in SV- the girls there, I think, for whatever reason, are not used to transient type situations. The girls have all known one another since kindergarten and there fore are not very accomodating to a new kid. I was told this before we moved in by several people- and knew what to expect- but it was just plain ugly at times.

That is so wonderful that your son chose that poor little girl to be in his group. The girls will probably be even nastier to her once they find out a boy chose her to be in his group. It will probably be the best day of her whole school year-- that's just plain sad.

Poor baby.

I hate mean.

So-- I told Drew to pick a place for his Birthday supper.

The kid chose Kentucky fried Chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared:

Off I go.

cluck cluck.

Have a good night MAYers.
Hug your babies tight.

Jo

hey gang.

the house is great.
new...still needs the concrete poured for the driveway. ( but nothing we can't take care of or work into the deal maybe)
but completely finished inside . beautiful oak kitchen with island breakfast bar and granite counter tops. nice fireplace in family room, large floor to ceiling window in the living room, big bedrooms and a walk in closet in the master, to name a few things.

we really like it... and are positive we'll be making an offer tomorrow.

:)

It's everything i've always wanted... I'm so happy we found it on our first day, and in our price range. I'm a lucky girl.

It's much closer to Jason's office on this side of the border, and won't take him any longer to get across the border for the days he works in MI, or flies to Chicago.... it would be so great.

Good Mornin' Good Mornin' to you....and you... and you.... :goodvibes

I have had the MK opening show song stuck in my head for a week now. LOL. But that's just fine by me. :music:

What the heck??? :scared:

 Don't worry too much Trix. I found the gems, but not the specific ones that you asked for. We did our best - and got 5 of them, but they are pretty much totally different then what you wanted. :guilty: Seriously, we were crouched over those bins for almost an hour. TWICE! It was crazy. We went at the beginning of the week and didn't see that many options, so we left and went back later in the week thinking maybe that it would be stocked -but NOPE. Bob made the comment that he was a grown-@** man on a scavenger hunt for princess jewels. :lmao: He was just kidding though. He's a trooper. :lovestruc

I am more worried about Mari's chocolate. :sad2:

Ummm, chocolate bars + 4 hours between check out and flight time + 93 degree weather + arriving 2 hours later in 50 degree weather = seriously melted then reconformed mangled chocolate bars. :scared:

I'm sure they'll still taste good though... :upsidedow

Good morning MAYers!

Another beautiful sunny day here! :goodvibes

Lake - the house sounds perfect! I love oak kitchens! :lovestruc

Trix, RF - I am dying to know what princess jewels are. . . :confused3

Hello everyone else!

Yes, I think that unfortunately you'll find that at most middle schools and high schools. Once they form their little "click" no one else is allowed in. And if a girl is shy they perceive her as being snotty. And if a girl is pretty (and of course the boys like her) well then she is on the hit list too. :sad2:

DS actually went to this little girl's house this weekend for a play-date. It was him and another little boy from his class. No girls. That's when I realized that what his teacher said must have been right. Stupid mean girls.

So what did you have at KFC??? You know they have that new grilled chicken there now. . . has anyone tried it? It looks good in the commercials
