I'm really kinda stuck on OKW, even though the decor isn't great.
I just think the grounds are sooooooooo pretty.

I am surprised you are picking OKW! I figured you for more of a BLT girl!

I have been trying to get ahold of Sulley. Doesn't she own DVC??? I was thinking she did. Or maybe it was her family. Well either way it would be great to find someone I know to rent points from. If she had points available of course. But I can't seem to get ahold of her. I have PM'd and emailed. . .

Do you have any scents- or perfumes, body lotions that remind you of WDW?

I always wear Hypnose by Lancome into the parks- only b/c I have a ton of teeny tiny samples that I take with me on vacation. And this year for my B-day Mark gave me a big bottle of it. So now, I wear it everyday and it reminds of WDW.
The other thing that reminds me of the parks is Dial body wash - their Soy and Almond Milk kind. B/c the first time I got it was at Publix on the way to our hotel room one night. Now I'm a regular user b/c it too reminds me of WDW.

So-- how 'bout you???????

Ron is the godfather. I swear it. He controls and manipulates this game. He tells Kristin, "I will never right your name. I swore to your mother I wouldn't." Then he says, " I will speak to Mike on your behalf and do what I can." Liar!!! Then he tells Mike, "Do what you need to do."

I swear all of these lines are from the Godfather. Ugh!

Kristin had their number though. When the voting finished. She called it right. Mike is in it to win (which it is a game, but still they have been playing the righteous card.) I think I like Vicky from last season better than I like Mike and Ron. At least Vicky admitted to being devious.

I keep looking at pics of all the DVC resorts-- and while I really do like BLT... I think I want something more, um, resort-y laid back looking, I guess. The modern-ness of BLT really doesn't do it for me. I have this one pic of OKW that someone posted on a thread and I copied it-- it's of two boats on the canal- and the resort istself is near POFQ/POR-- so it has the same look as those resorts, sort of. As a matter of fact, Mark saw that pic and thought it was POFQ.
The tropical look of it reminds me of CBR too.
I just want to sit on the balcony overlooking the canal and drink some coffee in the mornings.

I want to go NOW.

Yep! I am pretty set on that area! Just not sure if I should try to rent points or wait for a WDW deal to come out. Apparently BCV fills up faster than any other resort, so waiting makes me nervous. . .


But renting makes me nervous as well. Plus the no clean towels for 4 days thing.

Shelly- BCV is popular from what I've read.
The towels-- I guess you could wash them-- will you get a one bedroom? Two? There will be a washer and dryer there.

If you do a studio- there's a laundry room on site.

!!! PLEASE READ!!! Important News Regarding Swaps & Shares!!!

It has always been a rule on the DIS that anything involving money changing hands between members was not permitted on the boards. With that in mind, a decision has been made to end all swaps and shares that include money passing between DISers.

What does this mean?
Beginning today, all Photopass shares requiring a payment are over on the DIS. No new paid Photopass shares can be started.
Threads for existing Photopass shares will be locked on Friday of this week. Any new threads will be deleted beginning today unless they are offering the Photopass Share at no charge to participants.
Fridge and stroller swaps that are free can continue. However, if a refrigerator/stroller is lost or damaged, the swap leader cannot collect money from members to replace the lost/damaged item. Swaps may continue if an item is donated for the use of subsequent share members.
No new fridge or stroller swaps will be permitted to start unless the fridge/stroller is a donated item and the swap is free to all participants.
Any fridge or stroller swap that is not free to new members will be closed on Friday of this week. This will allow those leaders of swaps that are currently collecting money to decide whether they are willing/able to offer their swap for free. On Friday, any swap threads that are not free will be locked and their links will be removed from the sticky threads.

Wow the DIS must be getting really strict on these things.

I know last week I listed my SW credit on the Come Trade with Us thread, because I had seen others list their airline credits/vouchers there. A day or so later my post was missing. So were all the others. When I questioned it I was told that it is not allowed anymore.

I guess we won't be getting anymore photopass pictures. It's nice to have pictures with all of us in them, but they are not that great to make it worth over $100. I have much better pictures with my own camera!

I'm sorry new one's won't be able to be started for those who use them.


Emmy was still a toddler on our last trip and we needed milk for her at bed. Whic is why we joined the swap. We won't need one this time though.

Yeah, that stinks about the fridge swap too. If we ever stayed at a value we would have gotten in on one of those. We always like to have plenty of cold drinks in our room.

We have to have one now- b/c the kids eat in the rooms for breakfast.

Shelly- 125 points-- the going rate is anywhere from $9-$12 pp.
Gosh- I guess that's still a savings.

I bet you are right JO. Disney probably caught wind of the whole share thing and weren't too happy. I bet that's why they changed the way the pics load too. It used to be by card, so all of your pictures would be all together. Now it's by date/time. So all of your pictures are all mixed in with everyone else's in the share. What a pain!

We have to have a fridge for that reason too. On the days we don't have a breakfast ADR (which is most days) DH and the kids eat breakfast in the room.

Yep, it's still a pretty good savings renting points, even though I need so many! I'm not paying over $10 per point though. If it's more than that I will wait out Disney on a deal!

Finally, the heatwave is over! Yesterday it got up to 90 in Santa Monica. I was at a expo in Arcadia (near Pasadena) and my car thermometer said it was 106! It cooled down last night really fast, down in to the 60s, it is 70 right now.

So, expect some of that heat coming your way the next few days.
