So yesterday I was at a conference at Santa Anita Park Race Track. Here are a few pictures of the beautiful grounds.

I bet you are right JO. Disney probably caught wind of the whole share thing and weren't too happy. I bet that's why they changed the way the pics load too. It used to be by card, so all of your pictures would be all together. Now it's by date/time. So all of your pictures are all mixed in with everyone else's in the share. What a pain!

We have to have a fridge for that reason too. On the days we don't have a breakfast ADR (which is most days) DH and the kids eat breakfast in the room.

Yep, it's still a pretty good savings renting points, even though I need so many! I'm not paying over $10 per point though. If it's more than that I will wait out Disney on a deal!

Well that is a pain. we never take any pics with the photog's-- so we've never shared one.

And- I wouldn't rent for more than $10 eaither. Disney's offering too much of a savings for that. On the DVC board soem members were complaining about peple's prices being too low- but they have to be a good deal for the regualr vacationer to bite.

okay...time to go get some more stuff done... emmy and i will check back in later...she loves all the smiley faces and dancing banana's...

Hello Mayers!

Finally, the heatwave is over! Yesterday it got up to 90 in Santa Monica. I was at a expo in Arcadia (near Pasadena) and my car thermometer said it was 106! It cooled down last night really fast, down in to the 60s, it is 70 right now.

So, expect some of that heat coming your way the next few days.

I was just on my balcony and yep- we've got your heat! No it isn't 106- but in the 80's for sure! Love the sun-- I've got shorts and a tank on! Now... if my white legs were just a bit tanned...

I haven't watched any races since last year when that little horse, Belle, was injured and had to be put down right on the track.

I cried and cried- it affected me deeply-----we were rooting her on- we always all pick a horse and of course she was ours, due to our Belle-

I jerked my Belle up and went running up the stairs with her when the horse went down.
She didn't understand it at all and kept asking if her horse had won.


Anyway--
beautiful track.

I know, one person PM'd me saying that they would book BCV for me for $13 per point! Yeah right!! Yes, it would still be cheaper than going through Disney, but come on! No way, some people have points out there for $8 & $9.

Hey I wonder how much longer the DIS will allow the DVC rent/trade to go on. . .

I am so jealous of your 80 degree weather! It is so cold here today. Just a few more days and the warm weather will be here! I just checked and it looks like sunny skies here tomorrow clear through Monday!

Jo - Thanks for pic kudos. Those are the San Gabriel mountains. Arcadia is about 5 miles from Pasadena and the Rose Bowl - 13 miles northeast of Downtown LA.

I remember hearing about that horse on the news...too bad!

About the photopass thing...I don't think Disney really cares if you share it.

I see people share food, snacks, toys and other stuff at the parks all the time.
Seriously, do you really believe that a CM is going tell you to stop sharing that churro with your kids and force you to buy one for each kid? Kind of silly.

I don't know why the board, made this decision. Maybe some unscrupulous people were using the boards to scam people and the moderators just felt it was better to just shut it all down to prevent future problems between Dis board members. We don't know all that goes behind the scenes here - can you imagine having to help straighten out disputes here?

You know if you don't push yourself too hard and just hit the stuff you enjoy the most, then it won't be too bad. There are always places to sit, relax and enjoy a cool drink. Don't let the warm weather stop you...you never know it might just be a really pleasant time weatherwise.

Oh- and dole whips just plain taste better in the heat of the afternoon.

You can get a Kaki Gori from Japan in WS... sit and relax under a shade tree.

Go back and swim every afternoon.

Monorail around the world- from Ep to Mk and back.
30 minute ride!!

I'd never let the weather stop me. But I'm a hot and steamy kind of gal.

Get there at RD- stay until noon, eat lunch back to hotel, swim, eat supper then back to the park late- and hop to the emh one.

Wow. Now I truly would like to go.

I prefer the heat to cold.
