These Are The MAYS of our Lives- The MAYers, Part VI

Waiting for the first flakes to fall!!! They are saying anywhere between 18 and 36 inches for our area with blizzard like conditions tomorrow morning because of the wind. Schools are closing early and Andrew should be home in about 20 minutes. We hit the grocery store last night and stocked up on the esentials- chips, soda, hot chocolate, marshmallows, ingredients to make choc chip cookies, tastycakes, ingredients for chicken noodle soup...if the power goes out we'll just pack on a few pounds to help insulate us and keep us warm.

Quiet but still busy day here. I sent 2 kids home yesterday and 1 home today with fevers! All above 102. Seems we have a little strep throat going around. :sad2: Apparently one of my families has had it running through their extended family for a week now. This family is notorious for bringing us all the good stuff. :headache: Good thing I'm on antibiotics already but now I'm hoping my kids don't get it. Em already has my cold. We don't need strep on top of it. I spent much of my morning bleaching and sanitizing. :crazy2:

Hi Shelly - Yes, I am planning to come out in July sometime, but I won't know exactly when because I might have a conference/seminar to put on one of those weekends. I will know by March or April the latest.

Afternoon MAYers!

Hope all is well in MAYerland today! Not much going on here. Not sure what's up for the weekend yet. Probably not much. DH and I have gone out to lunch nearly every day this week. Him being home is really hurting my budget in more than one way! :rotfl: But hey, we had like 10 years of hardly any dates to make up for!! :lmao: So between the low budget and the fact that we are to get a bunch of snow tonight and tomorrow we will probably just be laying low this weekend. We will probably go to the neighbor's superbowl party for a little bit Sunday.

Anymore plans for a MAYer Meet this summer??? What do you think Sea? We will plan around you if you come, since you will be traveling clear across the country and all! :rotfl:

I'm in planning mode, but have nothing to plan. . . Three more months until I can make my ADR's. :sad2:

Stay safe Kim. I hope you don't get quite that much snow. And I hope the kids stay healthy!

Okay Sea. I guess I'll have to wait until March or April to make our MAYer Meet plans. . . But no longer! :rotfl: No seriously, just let us know when you do and we will plan away! :yay:

Two weeks ago I told you about the "Stimulus Special" at Stonefire Grill but I didn't show you the pictures. So we went again last Saturday afternoon and here are the pictures...

Such a deal!!! This restaurant is about 10 miles northwest of DL, in the city of Fountain Valley. It is a nice casual place. You order your food and find a table. You pick up your own utensils and soft drinks. Your food is delivered by the wait staff and they check on you if you need anything else. This place has become one of Chris' favorite places now and it is hard for me to turn down now.

Okay...this school mom things is wearing me out.
I love hellping at the school, but man am I tired,:upsidedow and my laundry is piling up.:laundy:

Haha

I'm just happy to come home and at least get 5 minutes to check messages and email.

Some new pins we picked up last time. These are the new set of AP pins for 2010:

Hi Lake...how is the weather up there today?

It was mild today actually, but the wind is really picking up.
I fear a cold front in moving in.

Sea that meal looks delightful. YUMMY!
If I had more energy that's what I would want to make..... or perhaps more like drive to get.:rotfl:

Once you know, I will see what we can do so that we can make it there too. :)

Are you ready for another lunch report?

Well, ready or not, here it is...it is a soggy day here in SoCal and I had to go and see two clients. One was near a favorite BBQ place - The Outdoor Grill. http://www.theoutdoorgrill.com/ It is located on the same piece of land as a car wash - so I got a free car wash today while having my lunch! :lmao:

True to their store name, they cook their food outdoors over this bbq pit...it is where the magic happens!

Today I had a bbq tri-tip half sandwich, salad with ranch dressing and a Coke. I really like the rolls they put the meat on. They put garlic butter on the rolls and grill them for a few minutes before they put the meat on the roll. Yum!

Total today $9.55!

Despite the rain, it was a great lunch. How can anyone complain about having BBQ in such bad weather. They should be honored for their determination to cook outdoors despite the sogginess of the day and I rewarded them with my presence and wallet. LOL! :rotfl: - Sea

Alright Sea- after the last two butter infused WFL/WFD posts, I'm urging you to have your cholesterol checked.

:lmao:

Ummmm- Nothin in the world a Southern Girl likes better than BBQ!:goodvibes 'Cept we need Sweet Tea to drink with it.

Thanks for sharing your soggy barbeque with us!:rotfl:

(Did you really get a car wash in the rain????)

Will do nurse Jo...

Nobody serves sweet tea around here except McDonald's and their tea is not that great.

Yes, I did get a car wash - God did it for me. ;)

Obviously, but that could be misconstrued too.

:lmao:

So I guess we will put a asterisk mark by that code if there needs to be more clarification. Just think, it might help other blondes to understand that better too!

So- it could be CODE BM or CODE *BM* wink, wink, nod nod?

:thumbsup2

Man, now you are confusing me - we might have send this code back for revision and study.

It is vital that all of the "codes" would be properly understood so that appropriate response is executed when a code alert is made.

I expect a full report from you by Monday Jo.

Sea :rotfl:
