Yay!!! I have heat! :goodvibes

You just don't know how much you miss something until it's not working.

Some sort of connector had corroded causing the relay switch not to work. :confused3

I'm just glad it's fixed!

:goodvibes

Glad to hear that you got your heat back up NC. I was about to send over some sunshine, but now that you got it fixed I guess you are OK for now. - Sea

Hi! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. DH and I had a date night on Saturday and my kids stayed at my parent's house overnight for the first time. DS has spent the night before but not DD. I think it was harder on us than them. It was so strange not to tuck them in. Pretty sad though that DH and I haven't had a kid free night in almost 6 years. It was a nice break! :lovestruc

I'm counting down the days and have been busy getting ready for our trip. I went shopping this weekend for all of our snacks and drinks. Pretty much everything that can be packed is packed. I can't believe we leave next Friday!!!!

Katiebell- I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I'm sure this isn't an easy time for your family. I hope your new job leads to bigger and better things for you! :goodvibes And Happy 10th to you and your DH!

I think we found all of our DL parking passes for 2009. 48 Trips! :lmao: :cool1:

You can now clearly see the tracks that guide the Mark Twain and Columbia.

Still pumping out the last drops of water. Surprisingly, the river is only about 6 feet deep.

It really stunk near there. I am amazed they kept open the Hungry Bear restaurant during this stage of the draining.

Very nice report Sea!

I especially like the "typical" Southern California family as well as the draining of the Rivers of America! That is so interesting. Ugly, but interesting. Sort of a BEHIND the scenes look!

Go CHRIS!!! They're little cuties! :thumbsup2

I really wish that they had something like that around here that we could go to. Bob is constantly saying that he would love to go dancing. :lovestruc That's how his grandparents met. They went to an amusement park and met at the dance hall. They still go dancing now!

Went back and read a few pages...still trying to catch up!

NC, glad you got your heat back :thumbsup2 I didn't realize how much I use my dishwasher until it died and we had to wait a week for the new one to be delivered and installed  And HEAT is a lot more important, especially as cold as it is in your area!

RF, love the window treatments, very classy! I love your color scheme, so warm and inviting...

Jo, loving your DL report, but holy cow, girl! If I had allergies that bad -- especially to a seasoning that may or may not be on any given dish -- I'd be terrified to ever eat in any restaurant anywhere! :scared1: At least, not without talking to the chef personally. Even if you have a wonderful server (which it sounds like you didn't :sad2:) they don't always know every single ingredient in every dish. Tim is allergic to shellfish, so he just avoids all seafood. He doesn't like fish anyway, except the occasional tuna sandwich . I've had a couple of iffy reactions to shellfish too, so I avoid them. Glad you had meds with you and that you are ok!

Monny, are you on your way to WDW??? I am so out of the loop...how exciting! :goodvibes

Sea, love the pics! Maybe I'm weird, but I'm kinda looking forward to seeing the Rivers of America drained. I'll miss Fantasmic (although I doubt we'd see it on a weeknight in March anyway, except maybe Friday), and I'll miss sailing the river on the Columbia or the Mark Twain, but its actually kind of cool to see the nuts and bolts of how things work  Okay, yeah, I am weird. We have seen the riverbed for the Jungle Cruise when it was drained, the empty sub lagoon before Nemo went in, and we have pics of the castle under wraps when they were dolling it up for the 50th. I guess we'll see the lagoon at Paradise Pier drained, too -- although it would be SOOOO exciting if there was a soft opening of World of Color :goodvibes Not even gonna dream about that, though, we'll be there too early. I think you are missing your parking pass from 9/19 -- isn't that when you guys met up with Mike and me?

RF...Chris is a GREAT dancer -- and he never lacks a partner! He even tried to get me and his mom out on the floor but we dug in our heels :lmao: I am a total klutz!

Almost forgot: I did it...booked the Grand Californian for 3/17 (our 10th anniversary), 3/18, and 3/19. Just a short trip, but three full days at the parks, and I think we'll have fun. We'll drive down as soon as Tim gets home from work on 3/16, should take about 7-7 1/2 hours (stopping for gas and dinner) and we should check into the Howard Johnson about 10 pm. I'm not paying for the GC for that first night, would be a waste...staying at the Hojo 3/16 will save us over $200. We'll check in to the GC as early as possible 3/17 (leave our bags at the bell desk if our room isn't ready) and then hit the park! I'm going to try (on Sea's recommendation) to get reservations for Napa Rose for our anniversary dinner -- it's supposed to be fabulous :thumbsup2 We have plans to meet up with Sea and Mrs. Sea on Friday the 19th, at least for the evening, and check out on Saturday 3/20 -- but I think we'll do the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Paradise Pier before heading home. Well, there goes my tax refund, LOL

:wave2: <==== me, waving goodbye to my tax refund...
