Happy new year guys!!

So my mom is trying to convince me to move resorts in May. I am not sure. The new disney promotion is swaying me. If I stay at pop I get a 300 gift card and if I stay at a moderate i get 500 gift card.


What do u guys think? I think they only thing I am worried about is that I know Pop Century and I am comfortable there. UGH

Hey Huggie! Happy New Year!

I say go for a moderate too! I would recommend CBR for the best pool/slides. They have the best children's pool too! POR is our next favorite moderate. There are links to my review of both of them in my signature with tons of pictures of you want to take a look. Maybe that would help!

I would feel just like you. I love Pop! and I am very comfortable there. I know exactly what times the buses come in the morning, and where the Mickey bars are in the freezer. I like that they do not share a bus with any other resort and that it is just one bus stop. I also like that it is smallish. The mods just sound so big to me. That being said, I haven't stayed in a mod so they may not be any bigger than Pop! but it sounds like if there are multiple bus stops, it must be larger. IDK.

Would it cost more than $200 to upgrade to a mod?

Yes it would be like 3200 for a mod and 2900 for a value. With a 300 gift card for a value and a 500 gift card for a moderate. What to do, What to do

Well, I guess after you subtract the $200 difference in the gift card, it would only be $100 more to go mod which is not too much.

What are you going to do?

And isn't this a good problem to have?

I received an email from American Girl, for all you with daughters into the dolls.

The new doll for 2010 is called Lanie..and she looks just like my Emmy. She's into nature and camping too, so I am so glad I waited, because she is the perfect doll for her. I was going to get Julie, but Lanie is much more like Emmy. My MIL and I are going to surprise her with a trip to AG in Chicago sometime this year.

I've had a busy weekend! Worked on transforming the garage into living space a little more. I was in charge of insulation. I wore gloves, mask and everything and my hands are still raw from those itty bitty pieces of glass insulation. I got two walls done and DH is working on drywall right now. I can't do the other two walls yet and I'm not complaining!

Went to my BFF's daughter's first birthday party on Saturday. I've known her since kindergarten and sometimes it amazes me that we are both 30 something adults married with kids. Where did the time go?

Sea- I love the pics! The pin that opens was really neat! I need that pirate sign that says this room is a wreck. Wonder if they give discounts for buying more than one? I could use one for each room!

Today she was playing games on the AG website, (she likes to do that) and all of a sudden she yelled out...Mama...look...she looks like me! And sure enough she had discovered Lanie all on her own, without me even telling her about her. So I guess I was right!

She has really wanted an AG doll, and at 5 I wanted to wait to make sure she was ready for it, and would keep good care of it. But I think the longer I have made her wait has been good for her., We have been talking about it, I am glad I waited. It will be really special treat and responsibility for her that way, and I am sure she will love Lanie., if it is the doll she choses come the time we go. You never know if someone else appeals to her once we are there. She also really likes the little dog named Honey.

Jason and I were thinking of it being a fun birthday trip for her in September, but something tells me, we may not wait that long. hahaha

Seriously Lake, those are some dolls there.

My wife took our niece this week to the AG store here in LA at The Grove. You can even have their hair done up at their "salon".

My niece just turned 6 and is totally in love with her doll. She takes good care of her and her accessories.

My sister says that they will probably become collectibles in the years ahead. I don't know about that - ask me about Disney stuff - LOL.
