Sad news - I just got a call from a friend that Roy Disney just passed away.

He was Walt's nephew and was in charge of the animation department of WDS and oversaw the re-vitalization of that art form. Most recently he was instrumental of bringing Pixar and John Lasseter into the fold of Disney permanently and push for more of what made Disney so great.

Sad to hear he is gone.

hey guys guess what finals are OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo.... just gotta finish 1 research paper and I am officially done for the semester..... that means MORE time for the DIS.... i'm secretly trying to see if my Dstepdad will use his timeshare points to go to bay lake tower..... we'll see how that goes.....

well will be on in the AM... time to catch up on ALL the TR's i missed... i can't wait....

Today I take Emily to her last gymnastics class of the year, then grocery shopping and returning home for a quick clean before my parents arrive later today. My sister and her family will be here tomorrow.
I am very excited to have everyone here at our new home for the first time.

Tomorrow I am staying home all day as I am waiting for a special package, I ordered some dessert and amazing cinnamon buns from our favorite bakery in my hometown, and they are being air mailed. It will be a special surprise for my entire family, since none of us live there any more. It's costing me a bit, but to be honest I have been craving it for a while, and it will be worth every penny.

Hey Jo- I also thought of ordered some Pralines and Bear Claws from River Sweet Treats for Jason. haha

Well.... I hope everyone has a great day, and a very wonderful weekend.

The passing of Mr. Disney is so sad. He did such wonderful things for the company and helped keep his uncle and dad's dreams alive. To him it was still about family and imagination, and not just a business. As a kid I remember seeing him during the starting minutes and openings of Sunday night Disney performances on tv.

He will be missed very much I imagine.

Chris has 3 finals today, English, Alg. II, and Biology. Chloe has a major history test and a math test.

I am so ready for this week to be over!

Then we can rock out til Christmas! (That would mean the kids literally rockin' out and me sitting in the rocker recliner!)

Jo - Does MCat have exams this week? Chris should be almost finished with his English exam, which should be his easiest. At 10:00 is Biology, then at 1:00 Algebra II. I am a nervous wreck and I'm not the one taking the exams! All exams are cummalitve and count 20% of their grade.

Sea - what about your boys? Exams? How do they count toward theri semester grade?

I've been busy planning 2 Christmas parties. One for my daycare families tomorrow night and one for my Dad's side of the family on Saturday. I'm secretly hoping we get enough snow that certain people won't want to drive to my house on Saturday. I think this is my last year of hosting one for that side of the family.

My Chris didn't sleep well last night, so I do think he is nervous as well. Your Chris has been thru a lot this year.

I took Chris a lunch as the school is not serving lunch today due to exams. He has another exam at 1:00, not sure why they aren't serving lunch. He was in VERY good spirits. He said the English exam was a breeze and thought he did well on the Biology exam, a couple of questions he was not sure of, but overall very confident! Praise the Lord!

Today I am taking you all to the island of Cozumel, Mexico.

We were docked next to a Carnival ship. It was amazing how close we were to each other.

The first thing we see as we walk to the end of the dock is the "Three Amigos Cantina" - Jeremy was in heaven, TA is his favorite movie.

So what about 2012??? What will happen when the Mayan calendar ends? What do you do when your calendar ends? You get another calendar! I am serious - that is what he told us.

Next up - I find the biggest Disney artifact in Mexico.

Monny - i LOVE planning parties... well as long as it's not my money... LOL.... i am the designated vacation/party planner in my family..... everybody tells me that they don't know why i didn't become one instead of going to school to b a nurse....

i have my last class of the semester today at 415 then tommorow i'll try to finish my paper so that i could RELAX well until jan when classes start again..... LOL

Food! They make pretty good guacamole here too.

My sister, brother-in-law and Jeremy jumped into the ocean. I wish I had taken my swimming trunks...next time for sure!

So after JB, we decide to walk up to the shops and stores and explore a bit.
And lo and behold we see this...the Disney Magic!

Very nice and classy looking vessel. Reminds me of the old steamliners that sailed the Atlantic ocean. I am looking forward to the Magic coming to the west coast in a couple of years.

Stuff to buy...but we didn't...

I have been baking cookies all day and I am finally done!

We are having Christmas dinner here with my mom & family this Saturday night. I have DS8's play on Monday and his party on Tuesday. Then DS10's Christmas Luncheon on Wednesday. They don't call it a "party" anymore since they are in 5th grade.

Then we will have Christmas dinner for my dad & family here on Christmas day.

Lots to do!!
