Yep- there comes a point in your life where you become hotel snobish and desire more from your vacations than being crammed into a room with other peeps. Oh my--- will this set your Maui plans back a bit?

I totally agree with you there. We have become HUGE hotel snobs.

Mark gave me the green light for a MAY trip- and he wants to stay at the Poly this time, but I am agonizing over the decision. I sort of want WL. CL. For $165 more.

Oh noes! Sounds like your decision is become more complicated.

I can't say that I'm that surprised. I don't believe that South America has ever hosted an Olympics.

Now for a question -- Have any of y'all taken your kids to the Little Gym? We are currently taking Eliska to Gymboree on Saturdays, but I was thinking about trying out the Little Gym or another place like it that is closer to our house than Gymboree. I'm just curious if it would be worth a try or not.

Never been to a Little Gym- we have one here but never been.

(We didn't do gymboree either-- too poor, back then lol)


The Olympics- I read a quick update and it sounds like it was a TOTAL snub from the committee for the President only staying for a few minutes at the convention.
But also-- as soon as I heard Rio was in the running I thought they'd certainly get it b/c it's never been there as you said. So maybe it wasn't a snub, who knows.



Okay- so as of right now this second, I'm back to the Poly leaning ways. I spent some time on tikiman's site.

Here's my Pro list for it:
~monorail to mk/ ttc
~walk to ttc quickly / take monorail to Epcot in a short time frame
~tropical feel, relaxing- coming out of winter- we want a beachy resort
~speaking of Beach- watch Wishes and EWP
~ It is Mark's choice
~oh yeah and a BIG one--KONA COFFEE

Cons:
~Um, brady bunch feel(?) okay that doesn't count
~ would be $600+ more for Poly GV vs Woods view at WL
~gym is at the GF- Mark would have to run over for a workout
~I had no clue this mattered but according to a lot of posters on the DIS- it's a deal breaker for some-- no Hot Tub at the Poly
(Um, skeeves me out but okay, whatev.)


So there ya have it.

I'm still in a what todo over it.

Things could definitely be worse.

I'll take it.

The MAYers are WAY worse with regard to initiation rituals that just warm PB! No, I'm kidding. I was warmly welcomed and I've never been on a May trip. Now the MAYers feel like family.

Happy Friday Mayers!

Not a good day here - I feel like poop. So last night we go out to eat with the boys to Islands and our new sister, Cornelia comes along with us. Great meal, good times. No problemo there. We went by the Oma's house to pick up a box and put in the back of the van and headed back over to our house. As I am taking the box out of the van, Jeremy grabs the hatch and bashes my head with it.

I am seeing stars and birdies.

So we go inside and I am dizzy. I lay down with some ice on my head and I fall asleep for 5 hours - I wake up at 12:30 am. what the heck happen? Now my ears are ringing.

Trying to do some phone calls and emails - trying to be productive. We are having a nice day though - warm and sunny - I hope I feel better soon.

Most of us started chatting in 2007 before our May 2007 trips. We had a huge group going. After the trips the MAYers started dropping off. Then we ended up with just a handful of us that still chatted. Most of us decided to go again in May 2008. Then we picked up a few more 08 MAYers along the way. We all still chat nearly everyday - about our lives, our kids, and of course Disney!!!

Here's who we have ~

Disneymommymichelle ~ aka ~ DMM ~ Our founder! She has been to WDW many times and went in May 2007. Mommy to 3 little ones. We don't hear from her much anymore. . .

Jobird ~ aka ~ JO ~ She keeps us entertained! Always has a story or an adventure to share. Big football fan. Been to Disney several times. Went in May 2007 & May 2008 with her DH. Has 3 wonderful kids and they all went to WDW in Oct 2008. She's thinking about going in May 2010!

Lakehead ~ aka ~ Lake ~ Our Canadian MAYer! Just moved into a new house this summer like me! Mommy to 2 little ones. Went in May 2007. Possibly going in March 2010.

NewCrew42 ~ aka NC ~ Mom to 2 very smart and great kids. Very active and involved in her kids activities. Used to always go to WDW in May. Went in May 2007. Then decided to move it up a month and went in April 2008 and in March 2009!

Mari360 ~ aka ~ Mari ~ I think you may have met Mari on the Snowbird thread! Mommy to a beautiful little girl. Went to WDW in May 2007 and May 2008. Just went with extended family in January 2009. Has recently gone back to school & is very busy, so we don't hear from her much.

Huggiebear23 ~ aka ~ Huggie ~ Mommy to 2 little girls. Went to WDW in May 2007 and May 2008. We haven't heard from her in quite awhile. . .

Seacrestpromo ~ aka ~ Sea ~ Our Southern California friend! I'm pretty sure he knows the rich and famous!! Went to WDW in MAY 2007. He goes to DL all the time and keeps us up to date with pics and videos! Also dad to 2 great boys.

Katiebell ~ aka ~ KB ~ Another CA MAYer! Went to WDW in May 2007 and then Sept 2008 (I think). Her and Sea meet up at DL sometimes and make some very cool MAYer shout out videos!

Sulleyfan ~ aka ~ Sulley ~ Our favorite WDW CM! Went to WDW in May 2007. Decided she wanted to try the WDW College Plan. Started that in January 2008 and is still there! Hasn't checked in just recently, but last we knew she was still working at Mission Space.

Tasmen ~ aka ~ Tas ~ Mommy to a baby girl! Went to WDW in May 2007. We didn't hear from her in quite some time but we are glad she rejoined us!

Rusafee ~ aka ~ RF ~ Our newlywed MAYer! Went to WDW in May 2008 on her honeymoon and in May 2009 to celebrate her first anniversary. Also lives near Pittsburgh like me!

Clekait ~ aka ~ Kait ~ Another Pittsburgh area MAYer! Went to WDW in May 2008. Not sure when she's going next, I think she's pretty busy with school. She pops in once in awhile when she gets a chance.

And there's me, but you already know my life story!
