Well I'm so glad your son is able to see his cousins. That's always fun. We live too far away to see any family except on holidays and summer. so we know how that goes.

And Erie? wow- hope your weather is nice for the drive and game. That will be an all day occurance. Hope he does well tomorrow and shows the coach who he should be playing.:goodvibes

Here's the info on the movie tix-

Okay seriously- I swear I didn't put that banana next to my name in my last post.:confused3

He's a Phantom Banana.:rotfl2:

Weird.

Hey guys. It's chilly here today, but the sun is starting to peek out. :goodvibes I just got back from the grocery store. I'm trying to re-create Max & Erma's chicken tortilla soup today.

Mmmmmmmmmmm........ I can't wait! I need to get it simmering! :cool1:

Mark just called from the Georgia/LSU game. Funny to be watching it on tv and hear the crowds in the background of his phone.

Sea- now I'm really worried about you-- hope you are okay.

RF- soup sounds good! I've got the windows open here- it's cool. I'm trying to get all the germs out of this house.

Toy Story was good- but loooong. The kids were ready to go midway thru the second one.

Now we're home, watching football. I'm under my down comforter, feeling cozy.

Ahhhhhhhhhh----- love Fall.:goodvibes

Hi -checking in. I am feeling a lot better today. No dizziness or nausea today.

Anyways, went to see a friend who is a doctor yesterday afternoon. - I didn't want to battle ER on a Friday. He checked me out and said I might of got a mild concussion, based upon the symptoms - so I am taking it easy this weekend.

No head banging or bumper cars. The extra strength Tylenol is helping too.

Thanks for checking up on me Jo.

Sea

Y'all- I had to share this with you guys!!!!!!!:lmao:

You know how I always tell you that Mark always sees all the famous people??

LOL- look at this!

You know the guy in the Miller High Life commercials that goes in and takes all the High Life from the people at the sporting events if they aren't livin' the High Life the right way???

Look who he was tailgating with....

The Miller Dude!:lmao:

Oh- and of course,
UGA VII-- with his very own body guard.:rotfl:

What a stinker.

:goodvibes

Sea- thanks so much for checking in. I was worried they had put you in the hospital.

Glad the nausea is gone today.

Take it easy and rest up.

Let us know if we can do anything for you.

Has anyone done a spa treatment at WDW? I am seriously considering getting a sweedish massage and a pedicure while we are there in October next year.

But, this is becoming an EXPENSIVE trip so far.

:scared1:

The 'extras' that we have discussed doing

1. The Grand Tea at the GF for my aunt and I for her birthday ($25 pp/not so bad)
2. Golf for Bob and my Uncle and Cousin the day that the ladies are having afternoon tea. ($89 pp + the cost of renting clubs $55, buying balls $7, renting shoes $10 = around $160 pp)
3. Spa for me $120 for a 50 minute sweedish massage $65 for a pedi (a little over $200 with tip....)
4. MNSSHP (I think it's $55 pp) = $110 for both of us
5. Universal Studios/IOA (2 parks/2 day tickets $99 pp) = $200 for both of us
6. Haunted Halloween party at Universal ($70 pp) = $140 for both of us

  :scared1: :scared1:

I'm gonna have to do some trimming somewhere... that's like an extra $800 on top of everything else.... :scared:

I'm gonna have to get a second job to support my addiction. :lmao:

Hey RF!

I have to get me a ticker in order for it to move, much less be slow about it.

Hum-- you are planning a doozy of a vacation, girl!

Are you doing Disney and Universal both?

If you are- I'd maybe do Universal during the day OR the Halloween party. I'd probably not do both.

ANd a massage.....:confused3 IDK-- you can get those anywhere, but if you had your heart set on it, I'd drop the pedi.

The tea, in the grand scheme of things- is pretty cheap. And it sounds nice and girly.:lovestruc

Bob's golf is lots of $$$.

Maybe you could putt putt instead.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm kidding.
He can't take his clubs? That's almost the price of a MNSSHP tix.

If it were me-- I'd have to 86 the golf and massage/pedi and maybe even only do one of the halloween parties.

Good news/ bad news is that you still have a long time to plan and save for it.:woohoo::headache::woohoo::headache:

So good morning MAYers.

hope all is well in MAYerland today.

I am not doing one darn thing today.
Tomorrow- I must clean like a molly maid. The house is a mess!:headache:

I'm off to find me a ticker. I think I've pretty much decided the resort...

:rolleyes1
:rolleyes1
:rolleyes1
:rolleyes1

Well, my dream of a spa treatment at WDW was short lived wasn't it? :rotfl:

Bob's definitely golfing, I am definitely doing tea, we are going to Universal to see the new HP park and doing ONE of the halloween parties. Probably MNSSHP - but you're right! We have lots and lots of time to plan.

Good and bad.... :headache::goodvibes

I've got a ticker.....:goodvibes

It says the Poly. For now, at least.:lmao:

Who knows if it will stay that way.:rotfl2:

RF- I don't think I could go to Universal's horror nights. I'm such a chicken!

When I was a teen, once in a Haunted house, Michael Myers-- (ANyone remember my Michael Myers phobia and my story from 2 years ago on Halloween where I ran in the hosue and left the kids outside to fend for themselves?:rolleyes1) chased me around the dark with a chainsaw, and I finally fell down on the ground (He chased me outside into the parking lot!) and begged him to have mercy on me.:rotfl: I was completely and totally petrified and my older cousin literally had to pick me up and carry me to his car b/c I was frozen with fear.

That was the last time I went into a HH- they opened up the door, you went to step in, and they closed and "locked" it behind you-- and it was pitch black dark- no lights whatsoever. You had to feel your way and I ran smack into him.

I didn't know it was him at the time- then I heard the chainsaw- and a spotlight hit him and I was face to face with my nightmare. Dear lord- I get ill thinking of it. :rotfl:

So--- me and horror--- well, I should say me and Michael Myers-- we don't do so well together.

Saturday we woke up late - then headed over to the house to do more cleaning and sorting. We cleared out a bedroom and three closets! After that we went home and took showers and a nap. My son Chris wanted to go dancing, because they had a new band at the park this week. I was not going to ride or do anything strenuous so I just went shopping and took pictures with my wife.

The Halloween displays near the tram station.

Saw the Halloween Scream fireworks from the flagpole last night - the show is a lot of fun...did you see the video yet?

Next up...The Disney Gallery.

Hi Sea- glad you're doing better!:goodvibes
Chris was so cute out there, cuttin' a rug. I like his shirt.:)

Somehow, I rememeber you posting the fireworks video and at that moment, I couldn't watch it- and planned on going back and then forgot. I'm sorry.

I love that fireworks show. Hallowishes in the MK I think is a spin off of it. It is so fun and festive.
I love the part when they're singing "Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" and the white spinny things are going. For some reason, that has stuck out in my head the few times I've seen it in person.
Thanks so much for sharing it. Now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for days-- just like if I was at the parks.

I love Fall in the Parks.
Hey at your Halloween party out in DL- so they do the Boo to You song during the parade? I love that one as well.

Thank goodness for Subsonic radio-- they play them every now and then.

I'm going to try to get some sleep- didn't sleep last night at all.

Have a great night!

Yeah...if it was me...
Definitely the tea. Special day with your aunt, not that expensive, elegant and fun. I've done it twice (as you may have seen in my TR) and it really is lovely.

Spa -- nice idea, but you can get massages and pedis not at Disney for a lot less. Probably they give you the royal treatment there, but I've gotten that at other places.

I would go to Universal to see HP -- but like Jo, I don't like really TERRIFYING in your face stuff :scared1: Between the two parties, I'd do MNSSHP hands down, I think it would be a LOT more fun.

Bob golfing? for $160 pp, he better have a darn good time. I'd negotiate that one :rotfl2:

I've got a ticker.....:goodvibes

Yay for your ticker! I think you should do the Poly... ::yes::

Sea -- glad you are feeling better! :goodvibes The castle pic is great, one of the best I've seen :thumbsup2 Loved the vids, too...Chris is quite a dancer. Poor guy, he tried so hard to get me or Cornelia to dance with him. I can't dance AT ALL and I'm a horrible klutz. Maybe next time, he can give me a brief tutorial  And the Halloween fireworks are so great! I think when I do a future bday trip, I'll have to make it for the end of September, beginning of October, so I can enjoy the holiday festivities. I want that AND a mid-December Christmas trip, omigosh I'm so greedy. :lmao:

Please let Chris and Lena know what a great time we had, and how much we appreciate the stuff you guys did for us, like saving places at the fireworks and Fantasmic, and Chris being such a good sport to run ahead for FP's. You really made Mike's first trip in 10 years special, and you guys are so much fun to hang out with!

OMG Sea! Your son is too cute dancing!!! He has to show me some moves when I finally make it out your way. :goodvibes I can dance, but it's more of the 'drop it like it's hot' kind of dancing. ;)

He'll have to show me how to be a little classier. LOL. :lmao:

Great pics!!! I want to redecorate my house now with about half of the stuff I saw in the gallery... I think I could do the bathroom in "Haunted Mansion" theme, and the living room as Adventureland, complete with Tiki Birds...
