These Are The MAYS of our Lives- The MAYers, Part VI

The Olympics- I read a quick update and it sounds like it was a TOTAL snub from the committee for the President only staying for a few minutes at the convention. :confused3

It wouldn't surprise me if it was part snub too. Seems like people around the world love to get a snub in at the USA when they can.

Okay- so as of right now this second, I'm back to the Poly leaning ways. I spent some time on tikiman's site.

Here's my Pro list for it:
~monorail to mk/ ttc
~walk to ttc quickly / take monorail to Epcot in a short time frame
~tropical feel, relaxing- coming out of winter- we want a beachy resort
~speaking of Beach- watch Wishes and EWP
~ It is Mark's choice
~oh yeah and a BIG one--KONA COFFEE

Cons:
~Um, brady bunch feel(?) okay that doesn't count
~ would be $600+ more for Poly GV vs Woods view at WL
~gym is at the GF- Mark would have to run over for a workout
~I had no clue this mattered but according to a lot of posters on the DIS- it's a deal breaker for some-- no Hot Tub at the Poly:confused3
(Um, skeeves me out but okay, whatev.)

I honestly didn't notice the lack of a hot tub. But I also don't like going in hotel hot tubs for the most part. They give me the heeby geebies.

I do think you'll be happy with the Poly if you go that route. Just keeping looking at tikiman's site and you'll cave eventually :p

Oh, and I've decided that I am indeed going to watch New Moon in the theater instead of waiting for the DVD. Only 18 days until I can buy my tix. :thumbsup2

Don't hate me, but I have to admit, I don't really like the Twilight series that much. I read the first book and managed to slog through half of 'New Moon'. I'll probably watch it on video after it comes out. At least the 'Twilight' movie was better than the book.

Thanks for the introductions, Shelly! :goodvibes

KATIEBELL!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

I SAID Grasshopper Monny will learn the you-know-what later.:headache:

She must prove herself first.

;)

:rotfl:
Jo

OOOPSS!!! :guilty:  Sorry. :worship: :rolleyes2 :worried:

Just excited to greet a newbie, I guess!:teeth:

(BTW...Shelly forgot to mention that Jo is the BOSSY one) :rotfl2:

Love ya, Jobird  ;) :goodvibes

And I LOVE smilies. :yay:

I was soooo looking forward to hearing what Shelly would say about me in the MAYer introductions...but I've been forgotten. :sad1:

I've been snubbed...just like the US' Olympic bid. :sad2:

:lmao:

Weeeellllllllllll- :lmao:Belle tells Mark all the time that I'm the boss and he isn't. I guess it sort of just comes naturally to me.

Oh. ;) I know why.:)

Only child syndrome.

:rotfl2:

SHELLY..............................?????????????????/

Jo

Wanna come to Arkansas and watch it in my theater with me and Mcat? We could have a par-tay, with snacks and everything.:happytv:

Oooohhh, an invitation! :yay:

How long did I say it would take me to get there again? Let's see...13 hours by car...too long. 4 hours by plane, including a stop...hmm...$400 for a ticket.

If I come, you better pay for my popcorn! popcorn::

:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

I can't. I'm on a budget. Trying to get to the Poly.

Oh all right..

Maybe a minibag that we pop at home and smuggle into the theater.

To share.

But I will not buy you snowcaps. I'll give you a bag of morsels from the house. and throw some nonpareils over you. Kind of like Pixie dust.

:lmao::lmao:

You get to choose the color. I have a lot of blue. ANd orange. Of course.;)

Tebow. My heart was ripped from my chest when I saw him hurt. Poor baby lying there unconsious.

As far as I've heard- he's doing well. He was not being allowed to watch tv or read- b/c he was hit on his occipital lobe- which is responsible for vision. So they were trying to keep his strain to a minimum. As of Wednesday he was still undergoing tests and having headaches.

We have a bye week this week- play LSU next week. It is still unclear if he will play or not but our backup quarterback is good.

If you want to read something :rolleyes1 interesting- a place where I may or may not have had a few finer moments... :rolleyes1 check out this thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2294624

I'm a little partial to blue and orange, actually! They're the colors of my Alma Mater! :snooty:

Wow Jo! That thread was soooo stressful to read!!! Your posts were clearly more well-written and insightful than most of the others. People seemed to shut up when you talked about Tebow's priorities and the draft.

Good for you. :)

WELCOME KIM!!!! :banana::banana::snooty::snooty::banana::banana:

We're not so bad! LOL. But, Jo is right... get used to telling us e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g... It's part of the package. :goodvibes Poor Sea..... Some of the things that we have put him through.

Trix - I'm glad that you're not waiting to see New Moon!!! Who would I talk to about it!??!?! I am going to brave the tweens and go opening week if not opening night. I am too excited to wait. :goodvibes

And - - - -Sad but true I only finished 2 books this trip. The Time Travelers Wife (which I was like 300 pages into at the beginning of the week... :rolleyes1) and.......................

................

..........

......................

MOUSEJUNKIES!

After Jo told us about it, I made Bob buy it for me and bring it when he came up to Cleveland last Thursday. :lmao: LOL. Like 5 books wasn't enough for one week. :rotfl2:

Time Travelers Wife - Really GOOD. It was a little difficult for me to follow at first. I kept finding myself backtracking to look at things that had already happened (or in the case of this book... already mentioned, but haden't 'happened' in real time yet...it was a bit confusing) But, towards the end it was great. I cried like a baby at certain parts.... :sad1:

Mousejunkies - Cute, like taking a walk down Main Street with an old friend. Someone who gets people 'like us' More of a 'guidebook' than I expected. But still mixed with a lot of personal views, opinions and stories for each of the places throughout WDW. The guy who writes it is really funny and I definitely recommend buying it! :thumbsup2

So - I am about to pick my next book to read and it's either going to be Baby Proof, Remember Me?, Water for Elephants, Something Borrowed, or My Sister's Keeper... Any thoughts???

Shelly - I also bought 'Celebrations' magazine the same day that I bought Mousejunkies (can you tell I am jonesin' for some Disney in my life :scratchin.) I hope that I'll be getting it soon.... It looks like they are saying that the next edition comes out at the end of October! I can't wait!!!

Sorry Trixie! I guess I just figured you and Kim remembered each other from the Snowbirds. Well that and I copied and pasted those introductions from when I introduced everyone to you! :rotfl: Just tweaked a few things!

So ~

Trixiequilts ~ aka ~ Trixie ~ Mom of 2 very fun girls. Huge Michael Phelps fan! Snowbird. Went to WDW in January 2009 and is looking forward to heading back in November 2010!

Yep, I emailed them to say where the heck is my magazine I ordered a long time ago and they said it is coming the end of October. I can't wait!! :yay:

Sea--
Hope all is well with you.

Jo

Happy Saturday MAYers! :goodvibes

Hope you are okay Sea.

My baby is 8 today.

And. . . .

We are going to Disney in 5 WEEKS!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Happy Happy Happy Birthday to your Baby!!!!!!!:goodvibes

:dance3::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::dance3:

Can't believe your trip is so soon.

Hey did you read about the promotion of getting a free tix at WDW to see The Princess And The Frog with your theme park tix? I'm sure your boys wouldn't want to see it--maybe they would--? but you may have a school friend who could use them- they're transferrable.

Just thought I'd tell ya about them.

SEA--- please check in- I'm worried about you.

Jo

Thanks JO! :goodvibes My SIL and nephew are on there way over to see DS for his birthday. They couldn't make it to the party last weekend. So he's pretty excited to see his cousin, he doesn't get to see him much. Then later we are off to CiCi's and shopping.

Tomorrow DS10 has a game in Erie! :scared1: That's going to be a long day.

No I hadn't heard about the free movie ticket thing. How does that work?
