Nothing says Christmas like a construction paper angel from the 80's.

We have a construction paper ornament from the 90's of my son when he was in preschool. He has this angry face, like I don't want you to take my photo face. Pasted on that angel it is too funny! He should have little horns instead of a halo!

Who IS in that photo?
I have to know.

It's Michael Phelps and his sisters...in his box at the Ravens game. He's from Baltimore and is a huge fan.

AG, after I could FINALLY SEE that sale, there was't anything I wanted. Julie's Hoops outfit is on sale. I ran up stairs only to find Julie is currenlty wearing that outfit. Duh! We already own it. So I didn't buy anything after spending my whole day on that.

That would be sooooo frustrating! I went to the site and saw the stuff right away, but the only thing I was interested in (the curlicue bed) was already sold out. :headache: My dad is starting the process of making a bed for DD, but for the low, low sale price of $40, I could have saved him a lot of work. :rolleyes1

Love it! Love your choo choo at the bottom of the tree! :lovestruc:santa:

Thanks NC! :goodvibes Bob is a HUGE train person. He says that he wants to eventually have a room in our house dedicated to trains. LOL. This one is the 'Hogwarts Express' from Harry Potter :thumbsup2

I was hoping it was YOU and your sister in the photo with MF!

:lmao:

$40 would be a steal for that bed. The Our Generation bed at Target is around $50. I thought about getting it for our Just Like Me Doll who currently sleeps on Julie's canopy, like it is a bunk bed. Poor doll! :sad2:

Morning everyone--

Sea- love Moon! She is absolutely beautiful. I love her whiskers. So she doesn't meow? Beau gator the Bulldog usually doesn't bark either- only on rare occasions, but once he gets started, we are always worried he's going to break his barker because it's so loud and deep... and scary.;)

Rf- beautiful Christmas tree and decorations! Everything looks so festive.:santa:

NC- love your tree as well- but I'm scamming on your drapes.:lmao: My wall of windows in the family room could use something like that.:rolleyes1 To do full drapes in the fabric I want (silk) and done the way I want them (Lined and then interlined) would probably be $3000 for that room only. I'd rather go on vacation.

I see that you watched our game. We all had tears in our eyes as Timmy came onto the field. The love that everyone has for that guy is so evident. There will always be good and great football players, but I swear, that kid is in a league not too many people achieve. We've been blessed to have him as a Gator.
As far as fans staying- yes it was more prominent that game, but we as UF fans have always been absolutely shocked at games at other stadiums as to how many fans leave the game before it's over.
Our fans, whether we're winning or not, always stick around until the players come to the stands after the game- they sing the alma mater with the fans and the band and we don't leave until the QB and players leave the field. It's always been that way--- we have never understood fans that leave. :confused3 Saturdays' game was definitely more prominent, though.
Now... on to the big one on Saturday!!!

Happy Birthday to Lake! Sorry it's late. Hope your day was good.

Trix-- hope your DD is better soon.

Hello to everyone else.

Those drapes are some of the best $$$ I have ever spent on our home. We have 3 of those windows which means 4 sections of drapes. The ceiling in there is 10 feet. The drapes are not silk, but some sort of fake poly silk. They are fully lined and weighted and have the inner lining. If you can see how I did the rod (my idea actually rather than my decorator) saved me money. The drapes are not functional, as in you can't pull them closed, but they help that room so much. That room opens to the kitchen, breakfast area and entry hall(which is two stories). The dining room is also part of that open area but opens off the kitchen and entry way. All of that area has wood floors. I put rugs in the entry, family room, breakfast area and dining room right away, but those rooms were so LOUD. Holy cow! You couldn't tip toe through there without it sounding like a stampeed of elephants. So I decided to do the drapes. Immediately, it warmed up the room and quieted the whole area. We lived in the house a year before I got them and they hung them while we were in WDW in MAY one year. :lovestruc I cannot tell you what a difference those made. My DH who could see no reason to do drapes, especially non-functional ones, and only did them because I wanted them so much, loves them and they are now his favorite part of the room. The noise dampening effect has been so great!!! You know how you go to see an unfurnished house how loud it is, well that was how our house was until I got those drapes. We have had them 4 years and I have not regretted getting them once. Even if they aren't silk!

Anywho, I am getting ready to do drapes in my dining room. I was set on dupioni SILK. Nothing else would do. Well, guess what? My favorite color sample is NOT silk. :lmao: So I am going to do a NON silk drape in there as well because I like the non silk color better than the silk color.

The bad news is that the hardware I want, 5 holdbacks at the top on each side will probably cost more than my drapes! :headache: So I am looking at alternate hardware, but darn it, I want this more expensive one!

The games we go to the fans usually start to filter out at the end of 3rd quarter if one team is further ahead. But there was not an empty seat in the house at the swamp Saturday at the end of the game.

I am not sure why, but I hope FL beats AL.

I am still mad at Tejada from Sat.

Have a great day!

I have been cyber shopping the last two days!

DD7 is back at school today and is feeling fine...it was a full seven days again this time. Yesterday she finally perked up.

But...

when I picked up DD10 from her friends's house, she seemed a little off. We were eating dinner after that and I looked at her it is was totally obvious that she was sick. Sure enough, her temp was close to 101. Whoops! I called the other mom and told her what happened. I sure hope we didn't spread the ick...but I didn't know!!!

So she is home with my today. I REALLY need a day without kids! :rolleyes1 I have so much shopping to do! DD7 needs a new winter coat and DD10 needs boots, not to mention they should really both have new outfits for the symphony holiday concert we're going to on Saturday. :headache: :headache: :headache:

What have you gotten??? All presents, or some fun stuff for yourself? :goodvibes

I did buy something for myself. Amazon has $5 for a year of Southern Living and the same price for Real Simple. That's how much 1 copy is in the store which I occasionally pick-up. It ends today, so if you like those it might be worth it for you. I am sure could send them as gifts as well.

The other stuff was video game and accessories. I had to research some stuff to see what I thought would be best for the kids then if it was best to buy it separately or in some sort of bundle. Yuck!

DD wants some AG books. So I looked at those. Puzzle type books. I am going to see if Target has them.

I hope your DD is better soon!

Thank you - her whiskers are quite comical.
