Happy Thanksgiving Mayers!

We are having beautiful weather today - sunny and warm, nearing 80.

Morning all.

Boy can you ever tell its a holiday for all of you.

Just a lonely little canadian girl over here.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I hope you are all enjoying your time with your families.

I am spending the day writing my christmas letter and cards.
Any one want one from north of the border????? I'd be happy to add you to my list.

Good morning Lake!

We had a very nice TG dinner at my uncle's home. Great food and fun times with the family. It was a little difficult at times, missing my mom, but overall there were lot's of smiles and happiness. I know my mom would have been happy to see all of us together, celebrating life, being thankful for all that we have and all of our blessings.

Hi MAYers! DD and I have been putting our tree up today. Lots to do still!

Have a great day!

Shelly-- I love your wreath. So very cute! Is it going in your house or on your door? Your Photopass pic is so cute. Love the falling snow.

Thanks JO! Still looking for the perfect spot for the wreath. . .
Shelly that photopass pic is adorable! I love it!!

Thanks RF! :santa:
Shelly - love the photopass. Will that be your Christmas card?

Thanks NC! Hmm. . . maybe that will be our Christmas card! I haven't even given much thought to Christmas cards yet. I am so behind this year. I did get a little shopping done this morning though!

I know fully your feelings, Sea. Each year it will get a little less painful, but you never ever forget.

Hoping your holiday is somehow joyous.

Nothing major. I didn't need anything bad enough to get up crazy early and go out. So I waited until about 9:00 to head out. I just went to WalMart and the Hallmark store. Got the boys new scooters ($15), the Bee movie ($5), some PS2 game ($7), and some Star Wars Legos (not on sale), oh and new winter jackets for $7 each. So I did get a few good bargains I guess!

I went to the Hallmark store looking for a Disney Christmas flag for my little flag pole and a Disney photo album/scrapbook, but they had neither. :confused3 They used to always carry Disney stuff, but they must not anymore. The only thing Disney I saw in there was stickers.

Have fun shopping with MC! :goodvibes

Well, not still in my robe here but still in my warm-ups. We would decorate a little and then watch HGTV holiday shows.

So we have the stink as well. Yuck!

I think I'll shower before DH comes home from work!

Sounds like you got some really good bargains Shelly!!!:thumbsup2

We have our tree up!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...in LA!

We drove over to Farmer's Market/The Grove to have lunch and poke around to see what we could find.

Ok...this has nothing to do with Christmas, but Pink's Hot Dogs is a LA institution and it is always busy...even the day after Thanksgiving, people need their chili dog fix. http://www.pinkshollywood.com/pgz/greeting.htm

I hope you liked my little adventure today - Sea

Looks like you had fun yesterday Sea! I saw Pinks on either Leno or O'Brian recently when Bill Cosby was on. I think they asked what he had done while in town, and he said he had been to Pinks. And then showed a clip from a time when he was much younger. In the movie, he was eating at Pinks. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone! Sounds like you all had a great Turkey Day!

I took the kids on a little road trip this weekend to visit my Grandmom in Virginia. DH had to stay home because he had to work. I'm sure he enjoyed the bachelor weekend ;). It was a fun trip and I was so happy to see her but boy am I glad to be home. Yesterday I stepped on one of my mom's crosstitch needles and it went about a half inch into my heel. OUCH!!! It still is sore today.

The highlight of my weekend (besides seeing my Grandmom that I miss terribly!) was getting some Black Friday deals online! For DS I got Buzz and Woody from the Disney store for $15 each and for DD I got a baby Jasmine for $10. For myself I got a couple t shirts for my January trip for $10. I'm worried about the sizes though. I don't like ordering clothes online without seeing their actual size in person.

Sea- It is hard to sit around the table and not think of those that used to be such a vital part of our family. It makes the holidays bittersweet.

Shelly- How did the boy's like Star Wars?:darth::yoda::ewok::chewy:
Love the Christmas card and the wreath you bought!

Morning! :goodvibes Wow! It's been slow in here the past few days.

We need to give this thread a pulse again!

How was everyone's Thanksgiving's? Ours was busy. :scared: We went to his dad and step mom's on Wed night, then on Thanksgiving we went to both of my grandmothers houses. I took some really cute pics that I need to post soon! I still need to put up my light up night pics and now Thanksgiving. I'm so behind! :sad2:

I went out shopping on Black Friday for a little while. Didn't get anything too major. Then, we went to see the Christmas Spectacular with The Rockettes on Friday night. It was sooo good! It really got us in the mood for christmas. Then we had Bob's family over on Saturday for dinner and we put up the christmas decorations and the tree and the kids helped us put the ornaments on. Then afterward we went to our friends house and played board games.

Yesterday was a relaxing day to try and recover from all the running we had done for the last few days! But it was nice. I am so ready for Christmas now! :santa: :santa: :santa:

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been MIA...DD7 was horribly sick again (think temps in the 104s )...so it was a strange holiday for us. She is doing much better...but it took a week again. :sad2: We took her to the doctor on Friday and I asked if someone could get H1N1 twice and she said, "Hmmm...I don't really know." Pretty helpful, huh?

The girls are off from school today because of records day for the teachers, which is great because DD7 has one more day to rest. DD10 just got a call from a friend and is going over to her house for a few hours this afternoon. It's the first time she's been invited to a friend's house since she started the new school. :yay:

DD7 wants to go to our local toy store to have a look around. The poor thing has been cooped up since Monday, so I think we'll do that while we're one on one this afternoon.

That's what's been going on around here...as far as Christmas decorations go, we got the girls' tree decorated yesterday. We brought it up from the basement Saturday night still completely decorated from 2 years ago (we didn't have it out last year) and the girls thought it was absolutely un-beautiful. So DH took DD10 out yesterday to pick out new decorations for it. Now it's purple and silver. I wouldn't have chosen purple, but actually it's quite pretty. I guess that's why we have more than one tree, right?

I hope everyone is doing well!!!

 I hope you dd feels better.

My dd has a tree as well. It is the pink metallic kind. She got it out of attic but hasn't decorated it. Sounds like your girls will love their new tree!
