These are NOT the rooms that I paid for! 3 Resorts in 10 days - Trivia Answers 9/3

hahaha, if you think 51 degrees is cold then you would not have liked our "spring" we had here in Wisconsin this year! I normally don't complain about the weather here but it was just ridiculous-it never wanted to warm up! So 51 in March sounds kind of nice. :rotfl: I do have to say, though, that I don't think it takes long for Midwesterners to get used to the Florida warmth. When Emma did her first CP and it got to be 60 degrees she thought it was cold. She is going to try to come home for a few days in September and I am half expecting her to wear her winter jacket. LOL.

Anyways...

Gotta love those views of the GF and the monorail!

Breakfast at the Whispering Canyon Café sounds good! I only ate there once for dinner so I might have to try breakfast there sometime.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - one of those restaurants that I always put on my wish list for each trip but seem to have difficulty finding time for it. Those french toast and waffles look soooo good. I'm drooling over here although that's also probably because I'm back on a diet of sorts after going on a eating binge for two weeks in Korea. :rotfl:

The monorail CM is really bundled up! I don't think I've ever noticed their *ahem* winter outfit before but they look good! ;)

We may have to give WCC a try for breakfast (we will never go back for dinner)...that's twice you've said how much you enjoyed it.

I would have been right there with the CM with coat, hat and probably gloves.

Wow! That is pretty cold. We Chicago folk don't lie about weather. If you see us wearing a coat or we say it's windy, you know it's serious. :) I love meeting cast members from wherever you're from. It's like we're all connected. It is a small world, after all.

That breakfast looks soooo yummy! I love waffles! This post solidified the fact that I need to go to the wilderness lodge asap. Have you ever stayed there?

Ok I must laugh at the 51 degrees- that's practically tropical up here! (Northern NH) you can often find us on a day like that in shorts!! However after our 6 month winter we are desperate..... ;) also, the guy from Chicago- it was either peer pressure or he has acclimated!!!

I love your monorail shot! And your GF shot.... And any other picture you take in Disney - I'm glad I am surrounded by others who understand ;) I have to say- cupcakes for breakfast? Awesome hehe Disney does know how to do it....

Sorry, but I have to laugh at your "chilly"...

Yup, that's right, I'm stealing it. ;)

Honestly I would beg for that temp right now. It's been hot here, like close to 100 degrees hot.

Okay, that's a wicked monorail close up. Disney could use that for advertising!

Wilderness Lodge is beautiful and MMMMMMMMM cupcake!

Yes, you do need to ride the ferry. ::yes::

I do so love the monorail ride into and over and around Epcot. I haven't done that in ages. So pretty!!!

Brrrrr - It always stinks when its cold in Florida. But, honestly, 51 degrees in Florida is way better than 51 degrees up here. It always feels ridiculously cold here because of the clouds and win.

I have never eaten breakfast at the WCC. It looks really yummy and I may need to try it in October since we are staying there for part of our trip.

Nice pictures of the WL!

A nice CM who struck up a conversation with us since he's from the Chicago 'burbs. See, a Chicago dude wearing a cap and jacket - it must be cold!! Ha!

We live in the Chicago 'burbs and I agree with you that 51 degrees in Disney is cold. First of all, it is a damp cold, the worst kind. And there are a lot of places in WDW that aren't heated. And when you are out in it all day and can't find a place to warm up, then it is not pleasant. :sad2:

I'm a cold weather wimp, I freely admit that. I like to wear sandals and sundresses. I realize that 51 is downright balmy. Look at all the folks still wearing shorts in some of my photos as the days progressed and got cooler!

I know you know all about the views and the monorail and the Seven Seas lagoon/Bay Lake from BLT! So awesome!

I've never tried a meal other than breakfast at WCC so I'm thinking I need to expand my horizons as well. :)

Ha ha! After this next trip I will probably be saying the same thing... no waffles for me since I'll probably need to lose 10 lbs since I espouse "vacation eating"... no guilt with that until I can't fit in my clothes by the last day of the trip. (It takes special planning to reserve the flowy dresses for the last couple days of the trip!) I'm glad you enjoyed some great dining during your Korea trip. (So far I've seen some Korean BBQ in your TR.)

So funny for a Chicago boy that monorail CM was so bundled up! :goodvibes

I love WCC for breakfast Kathy. They have a great menu. They also have a skillet option for breakfast with basically an all you care to eat option. Yikes!

Ha ha! Coming from a Chicago 'burbs gal that is great!!

Funny that you mention that Jennifer because I've been to Chicago many times but years ago I decided to walk to my office from the hotel that was across a large parking lot (Hoffman Estates office) and it was 1 degree that morning. My DH asked why I was walking and not driving. Uhhh because it is just across the way I thought. Half way there my nose was running, my ears were burning, and the wind was whipping my hair and I thought I was going to freeze!!! Lesson learned. You guys know cold!

I'm staying at WL for the first time in August so I'll be able to enjoy the resort a little more than just eating breakfast there. Oh, and that is the only meal I booked there was WCC for breakfast!

I know Sarah!! Isn't that crazy that I'm worried about gloves and scarves at 51 degrees and you are probably one of those wearing shorts - without goose-bumps!! :lmao:

Thanks! Helps to have a bridge camera with a super zoom for some of those photos. I really need to use my DSLR more but I'm still catching on. (Well, more impatient than anything if I'm honest!)

That cupcake was boxed up and dropped off at our room. There was no way Em was able to eat French toast AND a cupcake. ;)

Sorry, but I have to laugh at your "chilly"...

I see how it is.... now you are mocking me with that gif!!! (j/k you know!)

Hey Rob, are you melting in that heat?? Wouldn't it be nice to be chilling at the Pop Century pool about now?? My rule is if you can see your breath outside you shouldn't be walking around in it!! :rotfl2: Ok, so 51 isn't that cold yet but where I live if it is in the 40s there are practically weather alerts.

I'm reserving my seat now for a spot on that ferry boat. I'm going to phone that in now!!

Hi Mary Ellen! I think Orlando warms up pretty good during the day too since it usually doesn't stay that cold for long. Judging by the number of people in shorts at the parks, they are much heartier than me!

I know that you and Cynthia have stayed at WL and I loved your photos. It makes me excited to try this new resort for us. :) That's great that you are going back.

Hi there! I really should admit here that I prefer the cooler weather to the 80-90+ heat and humidity during the summer. Ugh! :rolleyes2

BTW: I'm familiar with the Batavia, Aurora, Joliet, Warrenville and Crystal Lake areas. We've been there in winter several times and I have to say that I don't mind being in the cold for short periods of time.

Speaking of the "cold".... I did pick up a new hobby in Illinois some time ago.... I learned the art of scraping snow off the rental car! I wanted to hire myself out it was so fun!

May I present my finest skills here. Forgive the winter blah look with no hair/makeup.. I'm vain but not too vain to share here!

Looks like Citro’s was at least somewhat tasty!? Lol the food at the GFlo just looks so yummy!

ACK! It was SO COLD on the 1st, and that’s coming from a Canadian!! I didn’t know that WCC did breakfast!!

Aw man, we park hopped everywhere but Epcot on the first, ahaha!!

:lmao: Loved the video!! :thumbsup2

Here would be the opposite take on scraping ice/snow off a car from one of my favorite movies Fargo: http://youtu.be/5YD4OvBlO_M

Ahh brings back memories from my college years in Minneapolis. After four years, I had gotten very good and efficient in digging out my little Civic from the snow. :rotfl:

I can't wait to endure the "cold weather" in Florida this winter. :goodvibes Oklahoma has crazy weather, I have experienced it being 80 and then the next week snow and ice. So who knows if we'll actually be escaping from cold weather.

The breakfast at WL looks yummy. I'm glad I can't make ADRs yet for I would be switching them all over the place after reading your posts.

The monorail ride through Epcot is the best. It's kind of a fun preview for the rest of the day.

You did a very thorough job. :thumbsup2 Some people will give it a few swipes and then drive down the road with the snow blowing off of it. ;)

10˚C - that is too cold for Florida!
What - you've never gone on the ferry? How is that possible? Does that include the little ones? Because that WL ferry is one of my favourite parts of the trip!

Ill go easy on you and admit that even this cape bretoner here would find 51 chilly in Florida! On the other hand I'm with Rob, there have been some days this week I wished for that weather. We hit 104 the other day. Too hot for me! Yummy, breakfast looks really good! (Both dishes!)
Glad Em stopped for her jacket on your way to the park, nothing worse than freezing and trying to enjoy yourself.
