These are NOT the rooms that I paid for! 3 Resorts in 10 days - Trivia Answers 9/3

Peter on the roof of that building was such a nice touch!

I'm so curious about the new Test Track. I've heard so many different opinions of it!

You really did get some great pictures of the view at the YC. SO pretty! :)

So I am posting some very important information.... That carrot cake cookie recipe... Soooooooo good! I have never had the cookie at DHS, however, this was wonderful :)

null_zps3519488e.jpg

I made a substitution for vanilla with the rum, and I feel perhaps the "cookie" parts could be more cake like but I think I would need a thicker cake mix....

All and all so good! What a rainy update!!! And I can't believe you haven't taken the ferry to MK! We love it.., its always sad saying farewell from the TTC though....

Your pictures are making me impatient. I can't wait to get to the Beach Club in October. I 've tried Tepan style restaurants near home but it doesn't have the special Disney Touch. There is something about having Mickey Shaped foods...

Teppan Edo looks so good! It is on my to do list! Reminds me, I need to hit up a Japanese place around here soon. :rotfl2:
Great pics of the resort. It really is beautiful there.

We have yet to do Universe of Energy as well. We need to try it next trip for sure. We have a ressie at Teppan Edo in September that I am looking forward to. I hope the kids will eat something. Gah - so picky.

I would never want to leave that room. So awesome !!

Love, love the updates!! Thank you again for the email info! :goodvibes
I really love your Happy to be here button, it's just so true and we should all have them!! :goodvibes

I find myself two updates behind this morning. What????????

Love the button from Teppan Edo. I do enjoy the food there and the entertainment is fun too.

It's about time for me to watch Ellen kick Judy's butt again. That's a cute attraction.

I continued to hear very neutral things about Test Track, but I still plan to check it out in June. Denny is very weird when it comes to doing things single rider, so I guess we'll have to do the FP route.

Em is studying? Hey - if you have to study on vacation I can't think of a nicer place to do it. :thumbsup2

Yay I finally caught up.... Your Yachtsman Steakhouse dinner looked delicious, I keep considering an adr there are Flying Fish.... After reading about your Epcot adventures I am thinking we will try Maelstrom and Ellen's Energy Adventure :)
Brenda I will definitely PM you so we can find a time to meet up at the YC.

Hi Brenda!!

Great trip report as always...We are not going to WDW till September, so we are enjoying it through your report.

Congratulations on making the DIS top 10 posts for the Month of April!!!

Neal:thumbsup2

I think I'm all caught up.

It looks like you and Em had a fabulous dinner at YS.

Epcot is lovely during the F&G festival, I love your pictures.

I have also wondered if someone has exited TestTrack and decided to purchase a Chevy. :scratchin

Hi Jennifer!! The towels were such a nice touch. I don't recall seeing that at any other WDW restaurant.

Yes, the food was pretty good, but I think I like the gracious service and the atmosphere as much as the food. It has been on our list every trip. Have you eaten at Biergarten or the CS in Germany? That's one country that I have not dined!

I've been to both actually! It's been a long time since I've been to the biergarten, but it was a lot of fun. My dad and grandpa had those huge beers. I suppose they deserved it since the rest of their party loves it's a small world. :) As for their CS, get a pretzel immediately! They aren't like the rest on property, to me though I can be swayed by a pretzel of any kind. :) I do love it there.

First off: AAAAAHHHHHHH UNCRUSTABLES!!! Seriously, those are the greatest things in the world and I’m so incredibly sad they don’t sell them in Canada! I’ll get my fix in two days!! Yay! Disney!

Baha, working out on vacation is just not workable for me, especially in Disney! I was doing a “squat challenge” last sept while there and within a week it was just too much on my hips once I had been walking so much in the parks!

Man, I need to try that bread pudding, I can’t wait for Sept, I’ll actually be in Epcot and will definitely be trying it! I’ve never been into the Ellen attraction, maybe it’ll happen next time, ahha.

That rain is insane!!! We didn’t get anything like that over in MK!. Looks like a good lunch!! I have to say I definitely didn’t like the redesign of test track, I felt like it was the exact same rides with the awesome parts taken out. I dunno, wasn’t a fan.

Well hello there Brenda :)

You are an updating machine!

I had lots of your beautiful photos to catch up on - Epcot looks so pretty during F&G :)

Yikes - I saw how much the room cost per night ..... Don't think I will be booking in there any time soon!

DH likes going into the Universe Of Energy - I think he is glad of the rest after I have ran him ragged all day ;)

We haven't been to Teppan Edo for years but Em's vegetarian dish looks delicious !

FYI: I'm really enjoying your trip report: story really! Thanks for sharing all the fun, and I love all the photos. I love taking pictures at the World also; one of my favorite things to do there.

Thanks! for sharing the fun.

Cynthia - Youv'e NEVER been on Malestrom? Just in case you are worried... the trolls are really friendly and those Vikings... they behave with the guests even though they have a reputation.

Thanks for sharing that info regarding IG, I didn't know that. It would be a pain to have to take a taxi to BC/YC from Epcot just because we dallied! :crazy2:

Whew! Good to know...I am scared of trolls. :lmao:

It was on my top whatever list for the October trip. It's a top whatever list as well, it was more than 10 so I can't call it a top 10 can I?

Clearly it didn't make the cut.

That trip.

Holy cannoli was I behind! Love the breakfast on the sun porch. While I see lots wrong with getting up at 6:30 on vacation, I see nothing wrong with having breakfast and watching other folks run! Lovely topiary pictures, the ladies in front o them aren't bad either. Something about all the Peter pan ones makes them fairly high up on my favorite list. Likely because they have actual faces...unlike the princesses which I find mildly creepy.
Bleh and double bleh on the torrential rain though. I've not been to Tokyo Japan, only Teppan and was really considering Tokyo for the next trip but hmmmnnn....not so sure anymore, it really is such a great group place but...we will be more than would fit at one table. Hmmmnnn.

Fun updates!

I loved that Peter Pan!!! So clever.

I have to admit, Test Track is not a must do for me. I like the visual changes and not having to stand through the old preshow video anymore. I used single rider both times, so I never got to do the full design phase. It's fun I suppose, but doesn't have the wow factor for me as, oh say, Everest... just as an example.

Haha, I do wonder how many cars Chevy moves from this.

Ugh, I remember doing school work on Florida vacations. So depressing.

Hi Rob! I forgot about the old TT pre-show.. ha, I didn't miss it apparently! I know that NO RIDES compare to your beloved Everest! :lovestruc You do have a new favorite competing for your attention - Female CM around the world attraction. ;)

I felt the same about Test Track. I loved the futuristic feel and all of the colors and lights but it was kind of weird. I didn't like it better but I didn't like it worse. Also, I feel the car design was totally pointless on the single rider and fasptass lines! I didn't even participate in the design process.

I'm with you Rachel. TT just didn't stand out. If designing your car makes this any better then I didn't see it. :confused3

Love the pictures of the two of you in front of the Lion King gang! :thumbsup2

I really enjoy shopping at Mouse Gear. Much more than the Emporium in MK which I find to be tooooo long!

Or perhaps devouring her gummy sharks? ;)

Wait! You don't like the Emporium? I suppose you are going to say that World of Disney is too large?? :rotfl:

Ha ha! Dave you are funny! It is very possible but I have video of holding her candy hostage! I know she was doing an assignment but when I zoomed in on this photo surprise, surprise, a teen on her iphone!! :lmao:

Peter on the roof of that building was such a nice touch!

I'm so curious about the new Test Track. I've heard so many different opinions of it!

You really did get some great pictures of the view at the YC. SO pretty! :)

Hi Marissa! Well missy, you don't have very long before you can see TT for yourself! :thumbsup2 You'll have to tell us if you do the designing your car option or FP/SR option.

Yes, YC is lovely. Disney does such a great job!

So I am posting some very important information.... That carrot cake cookie recipe... Soooooooo good! I have never had the cookie at DHS, however, this was wonderful

null_zps3519488e.jpg

I made a substitution for vanilla with the rum, and I feel perhaps the "cookie" parts could be more cake like but I think I would need a thicker cake mix....

All and all so good! What a rainy update!!! And I can't believe you haven't taken the ferry to MK! We love it.., its always sad saying farewell from the TTC though....

Oh My Gosh!! Sarah that is awesome that you made those AND shared your photo. I don't have rum laying around my house so good to know you can sub the vanilla. Now you'll have to have one at DHS to compare! Yours may be better. :thumbsup2

We tried the ferry once last trip and it was the day that it was closed down. :worried: Next time!!! I keep saying that.

Your pictures are making me impatient. I can't wait to get to the Beach Club in October. I 've tried Tepan style restaurants near home but it doesn't have the special Disney Touch. There is something about having Mickey Shaped foods...

Hi there OJ! Yay for Beach Club - better yet, BC during F&W! :thumbsup2

I completely agree, the Disney touches transforming mere ordinary dining experiences. :thumbsup2

Teppan Edo looks so good! It is on my to do list! Reminds me, I need to hit up a Japanese place around here soon.
Great pics of the resort. It really is beautiful there.

Hi KristinAnne! I love the gracious service at Teppan Edo. Question for anyone that may know... is it customary to bow back? I probably look lame and awkward but I usually bow my head and don't get my who body into it since I'm usually seated and then I just look like I'm praying! :)

Thanks! The resort is beautiful.

We have yet to do Universe of Energy as well. We need to try it next trip for sure. We have a ressie at Teppan Edo in September that I am looking forward to. I hope the kids will eat something. Gah - so picky.

I would never want to leave that room. So awesome !!

Hi Susan! You've never seen Universe of Energy either? Ha, I wasn't the only one!

I believe there are some kid friendly options at Teppan Edo. Also, you may be able to order off the Tokyo dining menu?? :confused3

Love, love the updates!! Thank you again for the email info! :goodvibes
I really love your Happy to be here button, it's just so true and we should all have them!! :goodvibes

Hi Nicole!! TWO WEEKS and counting!! You'll be sporting your super exciting Happily Ever After button!!! Check your inbox. :)

I find myself two updates behind this morning. What????????

Love the button from Teppan Edo. I do enjoy the food there and the entertainment is fun too.

It's about time for me to watch Ellen kick Judy's butt again. That's a cute attraction.

Em is studying? Hey - if you have to study on vacation I can't think of a nicer place to do it. :thumbsup2

Hi Mary Ellen! Birthday Girl!!!

Gotta love dinner and a show! Teppan Edo delivers both.

Maybe you and Denny will be the two people in all of WDW that will be excited about TT! ;)

That was good - yes, if you have to study.... well, it's not a bad place to do so.

Great updates!
Hi there Wiiiiiii

Yay I finally caught up.... Your Yachtsman Steakhouse dinner looked delicious, I keep considering an adr there are Flying Fish.... After reading about your Epcot adventures I am thinking we will try Maelstrom and Ellen's Energy Adventure :)
Brenda I will definitely PM you so we can find a time to meet up at the YC.

Hi Gin! Ha, the influence I exert!! :rotfl2: Serioulsly, You have to try Malestrom. just watch out for the trolls!

Yes, PM me and we can decide on a time to meet up!! I'm definitely looking forward to that! :thumbsup2

Hi Brenda!!

Great trip report as always...We are not going to WDW till September, so we are enjoying it through your report.

Congratulations on making the DIS top 10 posts for the Month of April!!!

Neal:thumbsup2

Hi Neal! Thanks for dropping by. My husband still tells people about our random Dismeet! So funny to hear him tell the story!!

At least you have a Disney trip in the funnel and Sept has to be a bit better as far as crowds from when we are going back in August. Yikes, the heat will melt me but what can you do when schedules don't sync up to go later? :confused3

Ha! Did I make your top 10 posts for April? I've not heard of any top posts anything. But I do live under a rock so there you have it!!

I think I'm all caught up.

It looks like you and Em had a fabulous dinner at YS.

Epcot is lovely during the F&G festival, I love your pictures.

I have also wondered if someone has exited TestTrack and decided to purchase a Chevy. :scratchin

Hi MrsDrewsky (?Ashley?) - I just found your PTR and your brand new baby! He is precious. Congratulations!

Thanks for taking a few moments of your new mommy time to get caught up. :goodvibes

Yes, we had a lovely dinner at YSH. I look forward to returning.

I should go to the CMs and say that I want to buy a Chevy but I definitely want the AP discount!

Take care and hugs to you and your little guy!

popcorn:: joining in popcorn::

Hi MiaBella! Thank you so much for joining. I'm glad you are here. I see you brought your own popcorn. You know you need to share right? :rotfl2:

You have a little one too! It looks like you will be returning during F&W - how awesome!

I've been to both actually! It's been a long time since I've been to the biergarten, but it was a lot of fun. My dad and grandpa had those huge beers. Hi Jennifer! Good to know. I still owe my DH Biergarten from 2006! :rolleyes1 Those pretzels are HUGE! I would definitely need to share one. Are they like a soft pretzel? Em gets near the smell of sourkraut and turns green so I'll have to sneak over and get a pretzel sometime!

Ha! I don't think I could get around WS if I had one of those huge mugs of beer. Sounds like it was the approrpriate drink in Germany!

First off: AAAAAHHHHHHH UNCRUSTABLES!!! Seriously, those are the greatest things in the world and I’m so incredibly sad they don’t sell them in Canada! I’ll get my fix in two days!! Yay! Disney!

Katt, you are going back to WDW?? You are seriously my hero! You must go have a 2nd home there! Enjoy your trip!

You and about 1,000 other Disers just weren't impressed with the TT redesign. It's a cool attraction but its not that much better! At least considering they shut it down for so long!

Someone on the dining board said that sometimes that breakfast bread pudding is dry. They fixed that by adding syrup to the pudding!

Ok, I fully expect another TR girl! :thumbsup2

Well hello there Brenda :)

Hi Linda! I need to keep this thing going or I'll not be finished before our August trip...:rolleyes1

Ha! Ellen's attraction is a great place to relax - even for those whose wives do not run them ragged! ;) Poor Philip! They need the seats to be more comfortable for those that prefer to snooze for the 45 minute show!

FYI: I'm really enjoying your trip report: story really! Thanks for sharing all the fun, and I love all the photos. I love taking pictures at the World also; one of my favorite things to do there.

Thanks! for sharing the fun.

Hi skywayguy!! Thank you for joining and welcome!! :yay:

There are so many folks here on the TR boards that have some awesome photos. Check out DaveinFallsChurch, Rachel09985, and OrangeJuice just to name a few. (My apologies to so many of you other folks that I too, am in awe of your photographic abilities!)

Thanks again for reading and commenting! :)

Whew! Good to know...I am scared of trolls. :lmao:

Fun updates!

Hi Cynthia! You are so sweet.

Heck, you can have your top list be whatever you want and you can change it at any time - you are a woman! :rotfl2: I will be tuned in to your future TR seeing if you finally conquer Malestrom. :)

Your comment about the creepy princess topiaries reminds me of a TR I read recently where a 3 year old pointed out they had no eyes. Oh, yeah, that's what wrong with them!

I love either Teppan or Tokyo dining but then again I only have a party of 2 or 3 traveling. I suppose if our sons and their wives travel with us we'd have to change our options.

I hope you enjoy your Hawaii trip - how fabulous!!!!

Fun update! I'm interested to see the new Test Track. The pictures look interesting and it sounds fun to build your own.
DH comes out of Test Track and "decides" to buy a Camaro or something every time we come out of there! The fact that we don't act on his impulses is the only thing Chev is missing out on! :lmao:
I love those second floor balcony pics, just gorgeous!
