anyone have this procedure done? I have naturally curly hair which I haven't even blowed dried since high school. Well I was on a cruise last week and I had my hair straightened and I really liked it, so now I'm looking to get it done. If anyone knows of a good place in the NY/NJ area let me know.

Thanks.

Laura

To straighten my hair I only use a Chi ceramic iron... I like having my hard to deal with waves now and then. I would go and talk to several reputable salons in teh area. From what I am told they have to have special training to do this. No clue exactly where to go, but wishing you a lot of luck and giving you a bump in hopes someone can help you!! :)

I don't know where you are in Monmouth County but there is a great salon in Sea Girt called Nucci's (sp.). They are very clean and I would call to see if they do thermal straightening.

I really want to get this done but I can't talk my husband into believing that it's worth spending $500 on. Here's a webpage that will help you find a place in your area: http://www.thermalreconditioning.com/

Also, our JC Penny salon just started recently offering it. I've been thinking about just putting it on my JCP card...but that just means more debt that has to be paid off.
