After just returning from a week long business trip at the new highly aclaimed Borgate Resort & Spa in Atlantic City, I can truly say I appreciate home more. As an event manager (we had over 10M with us for this convention) i had a priority checkin area. I askedif a water view was possible. I was given a "preferred water view" per this highly trained moron. Had I had my camera with me you could all appreciate it - building, than parking deck, than swamp. (I found out the swamp actually use to be a garbage dump). My room was lovely. My bathroom was huge but no tub. I looked around to double check, it ws not a handicapped room. Back to the desk I go. With 11 hours on the convention floor a day, I like to soak my feet.
"I am sorry, none of rooms have bathtubs just our executive suites." I switched to a suite, $100 a day extra to take a bath. Room services dishs sat in the hall for over 48 hours outside many rooms, etc.

Needless to say, they were not happy with my list of complaints and I am more and more happy with DVC but the bottom line to those of you who asked in the past, yes, being at Disney is better than anywhere else, but I do like to have a room that meets my needs.

That is just nuts! I thought this was suppossed to be the "crown jewel" resort of AC. LOL!

People have complaints about WDW resorts and DVC resorts but I'm sure you can see that, while they may not be perfect, the level of service is still a notch above the industry norms.

It's also a heck of a lot warmer at "home" right now! ;)
