ok, I will get the hang of this eventually. How did you get your avatar to work. I loaded a pic and it shows on the avatar page, but no where else. Tech board is no help yet on this. Oh well will eventually get it. aaarrrrgggghhhh

I did it through my iPhone using picture I saved there...worked perfectly with no issue. Clicked the find file button or whatever it was, that popped up a button menu to choose pic from iPhone, clicked that, chose picture, nothing to it for me (luckily it seems from what I read on the tech board).Not sure if it would have been so easy via PC.

By the way I "like"d your use of the "like" button...lol...good luck on avatar...sorry the trailer keeps getting buried during trip prep....very sad to look at same pic out my window.

I'm with you guys...I usually embrace change, but the DISboards??? They've looked the same for the last 15 years that I've been on! Actually, now that I say that I do remember a change a while back, but not as extreme. At least I figured out my avatar last night. Old dogs, new tricks...we'll get the hang of it!

ETA: I do like that we can "like" posts now! I've wished for a Like button for some time.

I'm on a bunch of forums. Many use this same (new) engine. It does take a little time to figure out how it works compared to the old version. From what I've read, it is a much more robust and easier to manage platform (in the background) and that should translate into a better DIS.

I'll bet that in a few weeks, we will have forgotten how the old one worked, we'll all have our Avatars back and the post counts will be update (looks like they are now).
