There's no place like home, a December 2011 DVC pre-trip. 12/2 p56 DL and WDW updates

You have to remember that the World of Color will be up and running sometime next year at DCA. However, most of the construction at DCA will still be going on.....

2012 is when the expanded Fantasyland opens at the MK, but it's also when Carsland is opening at DCA.......

Decisions, decisions. I think with Disneyland you have the beach, family and friends to visit as well.....

Thanks! Sorry about not meeting. DH ended up with a gnarly ear infection and although we had a good time, he was in no place to meet anyone new.

We did end up getting APs. We also ended up leaving some clothes in the locker last night. We are set to leave today and I am unsure what the process of getting them back is. We left my favorite pair of black pants, a pair of Joshua's pants, Chloe's shorts, and Gab's shorts and t-shirt. I hate when I do crap like that. Think I can call and have them set aside and have my friend grab them?

It was awesome. I took tons of photos and will do a mini report. I called Lost and Found and they had my stuff. They are mailing it out Tuesday.

Now I have all kinds of rearranging of plans to do. Looks like our next trip to WDW will be in 2011 with 2010 being the Year of Disneyland!!! As of now, I am hoping for June and October 2010 trips.

I am still going to plan WDW in 2011 though. I don't want this moved to the Disneyland section. My peeps chill here. Except sweet Callie, she's awesome.

P.S. I saw that the other day you were warmer than we were here in Omaha. Yesterday we had 6 inches of snow!!!!! It already melted though and we are to have more tonight.

I think you should. The parks looked wonderful- very clean! There was a time in the early 90's when Disneyland needed some help in a bad way; the park was not kept up and we encountered lots of rude CMs.

Really? It snowed here on 9/30 and then again on 10/5 but today was in the low 60's and quite pretty. I do love the Fall.

Woo hoo!! DL and DW -- those sound like great vacations! Walt Disney World in 2011 should be great -- 40 year anniversary...they're going to do something cool, I'm sure!

I was at Disneyland. We got home Saturday night. Ended up getting APs. I am super excited. Looks like our first trip home will be to the GCV not SSR.

Disneyland?!? We were just there! You are going to love the Villas. We were crammed in a studio and it was pure heaven. I actually did my first ever trip report about it I was so over the moon about them. We also got APs. We will be back in a 2 bdrm w/ my parents in December and then a studio again for Mother's Day for 2 nights and another end of September trip in 2010 (1 bdrm) . I love having the APs bc it easy to talk my dh into more trips because he feels like he is getting his money's worth (Never mind all the crap we end up buying) Sadly, with these current plans, we will only have like 22 points left of our 2010 points and we were hoping to have more to bank for WDW or possibly, Hawaii in 2011.

I love to hear that the GCV rocks!!! I cannot wait. Tell me about the Studio...do you have any pictures? Please give me the link for your report!!!!!! I would love to see real photos not just Disney ones and their good angles. We were there last Wed, Thurs, and Friday. Wed. and Thurs. were awesome and Friday was a zoo. park hit capacity per the reports.


We got APs too. I just loved October and next year we'll do Mickey's ToT party too. The kids wanted to do it but we didn't have costumes or anything. Next year though.

I hear on needing more points to take all the trip we want.

I have to reallocate all of our points now. WDW is out until 2011 and I am thinking about December but will cross that point's bridge when I come to it. I am hoping to add on 50 at the GCV in the next year but we'll see. We just got the APs but I am thinking:

June 2010 GCV with Jenna and her family
October 2010 GCV
December 2011 THV/SSR

DH is a little bummed about having to wait for SSR but the APs were his idea and it makes total sense. The savings are insane if we do Disneyland instead of WDW in 2011. Here is the savings breakdown:

• $800 savings on tickets
• $800- $1,100 savings on flights, this includes fuel

That's not to mention the souvenir savings. With 4 parks, the kids like a little trinket from each but with only 2, we save. Love my fuzzy Disney math?

I am going to be what they call a Customer Advocate. That just means that I am the person that you talk to when you call because you need a tow or fuel and things like that. There is a call center here that answers calls for 8 states.

Terrific! Is Utah one of your states? I leave my lights on all the time and get a AAA jump about once every two months.
