Bet your nails looked great! I wish I could do my nails but they would get destroyed at work so I don't even bother with them anymore.

You are so right that the day before the trip is so important! It sets the tone for how things are going to go. Don't want to be rushed and feel hassled when you are trying to get ready to go.

Following along! Though I'll probably get behind - we're leaving on Tuesday for Disney!!
AHHHH That is soooo exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for following along!!! 1 more full day and you'll be living the magic!
OK, I think I know what I'm looking for as a souvenir now :) That is so so cute!
I love it:love:
Awesome idea - we don't really do the pennies, but it seems so much better to have an organized system than trying to scrounge around for change.
It worked like a charm! Now that I have the booklet, I'll probably count how man open slots I have and only get enough pennies to fill the book! Once my book is filled I can't see myself continuing to collect them honestly, but it's fun while it lasts!
Yes!!! The best :) We've got 3 days and I'm already so excited. Can't wait to read more!
Thank you!! Have a WONDERFUL trip!!

You're the actual BEST!!! I would have NEVER figured that out on my own!!! You leave for Disney in a couple days too. Ahhh have a wonderful trip!! You deserve it! Congrats on graduating too!

Oh noo! I'm sorry you can't get your nails done but think of all the money you're saving by not! More money that can be spent at Disney:sunny:
Yesss having an entire day off before leaving day is very much needed! Of course it's not always possible but wow I felt much less stressed this year!

Day 00
Packing Day!

Today was MUCHO IMPORTANTE!

This was the last day before Disney. ONE MORE SLEEP TILL DISNEY, PEOPLES!

We woke up eager to get on the road.

N8bAOARdlksl1LNcy02QqpX2KYEpuwP2gH-nBssks-YdLSc5V-bSB68eocfvDn1w-eg1GjBoUUU3cdiGTbw2gsu9Z18LlXsgHlMWBehu-wdUo32X5STP10zL1xvvh8e0b-98lo0G

We got ready and packed up the car in a hurry. We had places to go and people to see!

We ran to the post office so James could mail something. Then we got coffee at our favorite place called Dippin' Donuts. I always get their Banana Cheesecake iced coffee and James gets their Twix iced coffee. Oh sooo good.

That’s not my picture obviously but that’s the sign outside.

I promise I took a million pictures….starting the following morning. But for now, bear with me!

^ I actually had to look up if the expression was “bare with me” or “bear with me”.
I thought it was “bare” but checked just in case and I’m so glad I did...

“Bear with me,” the standard expression, is a request for forbearance or patience. “Bare with me” would be an invitation to undress. The phrasal verb is bear with, not bare with. Bear with me means have patience with me, or be tolerant with me.Aug 18, 2010

Thanks Google.

After our coffee run, we went to James’ bank to use the ATM and coin machine. Since James lives in a big city, everything is super close and always open. On the other hand, I live in a small town that goes to bed at dusk! It amazes me how quickly we get our errands done in the city. The coin machine at James’ bank was closed, so we went to his local Shaw’s (the same supermarket I actually work at). The post office, Dippin, T.D Bank, and Shaw’s are all in a 5 minute drive from James’ house. It’s quite impressive. I’d say it’s 5 minutes to the furthest one infact.

At Shaw’s we cashed in his coins and got my mom a red onion she requested through texting. We were then back on the road! Then...we stopped again. This time we stopped at Family Dollar to get a bluetooth speaker so we can jam out to my Disney soundtrack that I worked so hard on! Of course they didn’t have one but I found a really long pretty colored phone charger!
I needed a new charger too! SCORE!

Next was Walmart where we found the perfect little speaker! James set it up then we officially hit the highway.

My excitement vs. James’.
Only I was driving so reverse the roles. I drove VERY safe but may have belted out every word to every Disney song!

If you wanna check out my soundtrack here it is in my pre-trip report:

SOUNDTRACK HERE

I also added all the Tangled songs to that playlist, in case anyone realizes they’re missing they were later added! It’s funny how I forgot songs from Tangled but added a picture of Rapunzel at the bottom of the playlist. :o

Okay guys let’s speed this up…:drive:

Once we got back to my area, we stopped at a Rockland Trust bank for me so I could cash my babysitting check, then James called his old work and ordered us a pizza to split. Half pepperoni and half pineapple! We stopped at a Walgreens while we waited for our pizza and ran into James’ nephew and his brother's girlfriend. His nephew actually just his 4th birthday party yesterday in real life, not trip report time… such a cutie! We told him we’d bring him something home from Mickey and all he cared about was excavators and plows, his current obsession. He asked if we could bring him one home. Sorry buddy, I don’t think we could fit that on the plane.

cR1E_WvRYBHJfqch6xGrViIOb2in8LDcCtvN3vI9onm-1cg65u7oMrDBrn6I2WbwS3KwdD95ZLEFlDcFNWH6e16SzGOnX0MgmPFs5NUJbNUVvca0eWZXrAHj3nJQbcHQKBAAXIa5

We got our pizza and got to see some of James’ old work buddies which is always awesome. We got to my house and I finished my packing (lots of my things ended up in James’ luggage not gonna lie). :D

After that we hung out with my parents a bit while I finished typing up our itineraries and printed them, then I showered, and we packed up the car. After saying see ya later to all my cats and Momma and Papa Bear, we headed to the 5pm mass at my Church, then headed to my sister and her boyfriend’s apartment. They had homemade chicken fajitas with all the toppings waiting for us! Ahhh they were DELICIOUS!

We put in the new Star Wars, only pausing to make ice cream with crushed oreo sundaes for dessert!
James and I LOVED the movie!

Danielle and Travis went to bed after. James and I got to stay on their couch, it pulls out to a queen size bed. We put in The Little Mermaid! It was perfect and James declared that tomorrow night he’d be showering in Ariel’s grotto. :rotfl:

After they defeated Ursula and lived happily ever after, James and I set our alarms for 7am and went to bed.

I said...we went to bed.

:faint:

GO TO BED DARN IT!!!

I wasn’t even the problem! James who has fallen asleep on my floor before and never has trouble sleeping was up basically ALL night and since I’m a light sleeper I was up too!

I remember checking the time all throughout the night, but of course I was asleep when the alarm went off, isn't that always the way :sad2:

But I didn't care! Cause today was DISNEY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo!! This will be me tomorrow :D :D :D

If you wanna check out my soundtrack here it is in my pre-trip report:

Awesome playlist! We have a pretty epic Disney playlist on Spotify for our trips - we usually wait until we're in Florida or close-ish before we start the playlist, but then it plays any time we need to drive somewhere the whole time :) And usually pretty far on the way back home too - so fun!

I also added all the Tangled songs to that playlist, in case anyone realizes they’re missing they were later added! It’s funny how I forgot songs from Tangled but added a picture of Rapunzel at the bottom of the playlist. :o

Now I need to go add some Tangled songs to mine - we added some Princess and the Frog recently and that music is great, too!

But I didn't care! Cause today was DISNEY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo!!! Best day ever!!

GO TO BED DARN IT!!!

This will also be me tomorrow night :P I'm so excited! Can't wait to read more :D

Haha! It's clearly a sign that you picked out that mermaid colored nail polish. Amazing! I always freak out when packing and over pack for Disney too. I'm always so uncertain of the weather or what else needs to be in my bags so I just throw everything in and hope for the best. It's a good thing we drive down or I wouldn't have room for souvenirs!

Oh my gosh! I am so late - page two and several updates already!

But I'm so excited to get started!!

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? (to Disney??)

Heeheeheehee

Anyway,

Can't wait to hear more!

Just found your TR! I'm getting excited just reading the first two days just as your were on your departure day! Can't wait for more updates :hyper:

Following along!! We're aiming for a May trip next year, so I'm eager to read all about yours!

I've already missed 2 posts! I hate the night before you have something big to do. It is always so hard to get to sleep or stay asleep. I am always waking up every hour it seems, checking the clock. Hopefully you got to nap on the plane a little!

I do LOVE the way you started this TR. My all time favorite Disney song!

That is too funny. I can just imagine it. So much fun too!

We put in The Little Mermaid! It was perfect and James declared that tomorrow night he’d be showering in Ariel’s grotto. :rotfl:

I also watched Little Mermaid the day before my trip! I was at my sister's as well for a few hours and my 5 year old princess niece wanted to watch that very movie. I do LOVE singing and acting along to Ursula's song. This might have slightly annoyed my niece and she also looked at me like I was crazy.

Cause today was DISNEY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

:jumping1:

This report is off to a GREAT start. Can't wait to read more...

Hello my buddy, my pal, my friend. :flower3: I'm back from an awesome trip and back to the daily work grind. Blech! Yep, I'm an overpacker, too!!! You definitely do NOT need 2 cans of sunblock, silly, and you may just need a SMALL can! Oh, I still pack for Victoria and Peter, so I'm still packing lots and lots of stuff! Your Snow White piggy bank is so adorable!!! You know, I brought my tube of penny/quarters and never ended up using them. It's so funny ---- some years I seek out every single one of the press machines and this year I just didn't want to lug all that change with me. In fact, one day we went to Epcot without a park bag! I had never done that before and it was quite liberating!! I like your negative day -01!! Makes total sense to me! I was going to get my nails done, too, but again, did not end up doing that. Oh, I brought nail polish and even fake nails and glue with me, but I just couldn't be bothered to do them. I think I just wanted everything easy peasy this time around. It is cool how it was Mermaid green though. :shamrock:

Ok, I now know you have a weird facination with mac n cheese!! Too cute! The boy can't make mac n cheese himself? You must teach him, girl!! Seriously, what does Mac stand for? Really? Okkkkkaaaaayyyyyyy......sounds like you were very busy on these days before the trip!! Although I don't understand why you stayed at your sister's apartment before the trip. Was it closer to the airport? Were they driving you? I don't understand!!!! :confused3

Anyways, can't wait to hear more and more and more!!!!!!

We brought two cans of spray sunblock, but since our bags weren't at our resort when we checked in, I had to buy another can at DHS. We killed two whole cans over 8 days, but we are fair folk from un-sunny WA and large peeps to boot.

I love that you watched The Little Mermaid the night before! I always forget how much I love that movie until I go to the parks. I fully intended on Disneybounding as Ursula, but the weather didn't really cooperate with my plans.

Can't wait to read more!

It definitely takes away from any dull driving moments, that's for sure!!!!!!!!
Now I need to go add some Tangled songs to mine - we added some Princess and the Frog recently and that music is great, too!
Whoa great idea!!! Whenever I listen to Disney Pandora they constantly play Princess and the Frog songs...I completely forgot about it!
This will also be me tomorrow night :P I'm so excited! Can't wait to read more :D
I hope you had a wonderful, safe, magical trip!!!
Haha! It's clearly a sign that you picked out that mermaid colored nail polish. Amazing! I always freak out when packing and over pack for Disney too. I'm the same way!! I'll be like hmm...I need a tank top...but can't chose. Lemme just pack all 15 that I own :rotfl:We barely had room for my souvenirs! Driving would be the dream!
Oh my gosh! I am so late - page two and several updates already!

But I'm so excited to get started!!

So glad you found me! Better late than never...like my upcoming update!!

Just found your TR! I'm getting excited just reading the first two days just as your were on your departure day! Can't wait for more updates :hyper:
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!! One more update till we're actually in Disney!!!
Following along!! We're aiming for a May trip next year, so I'm eager to read all about yours!
Welcome along! You will LOVE May in Disney! The weather was a bit odd this year...I'll get to that in my report though!
Yay! Following along. My BF & I are going for the first time together in December and I can't wait!
Ahhh that is sooo exciting!!! Nothing beats a trip with the boyfriend! It's just so magical and you'll find it's super easy going with just two people! (If you haven't yet!)
Really liking your report so far. I'm on board.
Hoorayy! Thanks for joining!
I've already missed 2 posts! I hate the night before you have something big to do. It is always so hard to get to sleep or stay asleep. I am always waking up every hour it seems, checking the clock. Hopefully you got to nap on the plane a little!
It was the longest night everrrrr! We didn't get to nap but everything turned out great!
I do LOVE the way you started this TR. My all time favorite Disney song!
Oh my goodness I saw the title of your dining report- can't wait to check it out! For real it's a magical song from an amazing movie!
Ahhh we're twins! Love it! Haha your niece will understand someday! I sing along too!
This report is off to a GREAT start. Can't wait to read more...
Thank you!!!!!!!! I'll update tonight!!!!!! I have it written out just have to proofread and make it look purdy.

Looks like you two had so much fun! Your outfit is perfect for be our guest, where is it from?
Thank you SO much!! I ordered the skirt off of a website called lulutops.com. It took forever to arrive! I ordered it in January when they were having a sale. I think it cost $12!!! But it took like two months to get to me. It was so nerve-wracking! I got the black cami at JCPenney and my sandals at Macy's!

Hello Friend! Welcome home! I totally understand about the pennies...I'm not sure I'll go all-out again. Perhaps just next time I go to Magic Kingdom. I didn't get enough there!
The boy totally fails with mac n cheese...meanwhile I eat it almost every day! It's all good...cheese has calcium right :goodvibes::yes::
You're like me..I waited till the last minute to do my nails! Last year, I completely ran out of time!
As for staying at my sis's, we mainly did it out of a convenience thing! At my parent's house, James would've had to slept on the couch (which is totally fine by him) but the 4 of us love hanging out and she's been wanting to get me over for a movie night for awhile! Technically it is closer- but not by much! Originally we planned on staying there because we were going to my friend's benefit/fund raiser that was being thrown for her sister's children and husband. Her sister passed away from cancer in January and she has young children. The benefit ended up being postponed but it's located less than 5 minutes from Danielle's! So that was the original plan!
Subbing!!
Yayyy!!!:woohoo:

Aww man! So I'm not the only crazy one who packs tons of sunblock! :hyper: Next time you go to Disney you must dress as Ursula!! There's always next time:thumbsup2

Subbing!!! I love Disney trips in May! Aside from going in fall or winter, MAY is the best month!! That makes no sense lol but that's okay!!!

Hey All!
Sorry I disappeared for a bit- things have been super busy this time of year!
Without further ado:

Day 01

Traveling Time
Airplane Adventures
Disney Day, Part I

When I last left off, my alarm went off after a pretty sleepless night at my sister’s apartment. It was 7am and I hopped out of bed and got ready in the bathroom. When I came out, James had the bed folded up (sofa bed), and all the blankets folded. After he got ready and we said see ya later to my sis and her man, we were off!

:D
I still remember walking to my car. The air was brisk but a fine day regardless for our area. Turns out it rained ALL week while we were away. Grey, cold, rainy days. We picked a great week to go away! With the excitement filling us, we moved a few things around in our bags that we needed, programmed the gps on James’ phone, snapped the following picture of our bags, and off we went!

ff2HTxcm9gaxgp1jl3-OI12xwEFfD7jRdOmK64DRsDIM29ZrRbQmFmUFaTkFFS_VpeZRay_Q506jXAdiB63yN1yzZwpDGhqxZT-FgkfJvIshqtU3DuIX_AubuV_EgdiPIGtZNH0x

But first...Dunkin trip!!

:drinking1
We pulled into an open parking spot at Dunks, and what did I spot next to us?

:earseek:MEANT TO BE PEOPLES!:earseek:

I was GIDDY at that point.:hyper:

In we went and got…….

Not the speaker, but my coffee, and... apple juice? James can be such a child sometimes! I love it.

The real star here is not his juice or my delicious french vanilla iced coffee,
but rather the new bluetooth speaker we got the day before at Wal-Mart.
It's pretty snazzy and lights up all different colors.

We proceeded to jam out to all of our Disney songs. Well, I did at least.

Here’s our breakfast:

oGtr_YJOUFIC3QYHetro97p4TJerDdNdIScRaXVcwvDPJRYSdtANURkBklHgg33YQQILA1e1Q3n9vyp6RQVAenH_0p8ixQcryeD_sFC7lMl3SZtQP-qztrW6YFuveggvjgYbu-df

James’ sausage, egg, and cheese...on a bagel maybe? He always wants to get croissants but I threatened him because of the amount of crumbs he usually always produces.

qf8kzjrxFW6ujpI6AQAMRvkpgdvHZty0HQKq3v1eXys-ypLO8xPgMGlXuXa5AOkq82WugTdGNqaAySQ_GwNvaQYv-bAiGbH9m2odmboZ3ZhENXsoAxI86IwMs1xa0Sw8A0EWyBO0

Here’s my ham, egg, and cheese on an english muffin.

OH!!! AND MY MERMAID GREEN NAILS! :thumbsup2

Okay quick side note: I was convinced my wicked old camera would take decent photos. It did an amazing job last year. You just need patience, ya know? Focus and wait! I was being stubborn. But the following day at Epcot I quickly realized that James’ awesome phone would be brighter, clearer, and quicker. Better… but for now I was in denial. So bare with my crappy photo quality for a couple more updates!

Another side note: Since this was my first ever trip report, I sometimes took a bite of my food before I realized I needed to snap a picture! But fear not fellow disers, I’m fairly certain I got a picture of almost EVERYTHING we consumed! Lucky you.

BACK ON TRACK!

Before I knew it, we were on the highway! Driving and singing our Disney. :drive:The excitement was out of this world. I get excited just thinking of that first day! Stressful, but exciting. ::yes::

We arrived at the airport in no time. Seriously, I wanna say we were there by 9. That’s great considering we didn’t leave Danielle’s until about 7:30, and didn’t leave Dunks until probably an additional 15-20 minutes because we ate in the parking lot. I don’t even remember leaving Massachusetts and entering Rhode Island.

Once at T.F Green, we followed the signs to Long Term Express Parking. We parked, and a shuttle bus stopped right next to us! He was so kind. He commented on how we were going to Disney and genuinely seemed super excited for us! How great is that? We only had to share our bus with one other guy I think. We were dropped off at the main building in no time.

kwntwc0dFXrZEPLLd-mBggKctHaEXgVNt0-b3JRsc_CHy8anQUmtvPrPbTpMNWh-WjTk66di-ooeenHmizDIeIpjTjKM7ks0-yp2adJ6hOE-J-TyCTUwi20BBlKux4OhWWvctLxO

There’s our luggage on the bus.
Notice the Magical Express tags!

Let’s head inside!

It was EMPTY! I mean seriously, this airport is amazing. Logan is SO crowded. Sort of like Orlando airport. Only not nearly as big. Which makes it more crowded feeling…

Our first step was to print our boarding passes.

HAPEJ1bod7lX3nTfiYlfUvmjwicWo5gKI5iQWCboApcReblr9HIybfyt3NFjzMHMdO_GdkSlvRq7xZ0UReJDkXItp3Lpy3NR9eIOCf0PU_tF0t2nU-TV0rvEKsS177YxyoePnV60

Easy peasy. Now it’s time to check our luggage in.

Then we breezed through security and went to find our gate. Done and done! Everything took maybe 15 minutes.

We found our gate (which had like...two families there) and we decided to walk around a bit.

There’s James taking a stroll. Back at our gate, here I am checking out our plane.
