There's a dead fish on my Christmas tree

A few years ago, we bought an ornament at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. It's a starfish that's painted white and decorated to look like a skating snowman. It's really cute and looks great on the tree.

The other day when we were unpacking our ornaments, DS12 asked, "Is this a real starfish?" I told him it was. He said, "So that means we have a dead fish on our tree?" I said, "Well, I guess it does." I never thought about it that way! Now whenever I pass the tree, I can't help but look at that poor dead fish!!!

I have a beautiful starfish with Pooh Bear on it that I got in the ornament exchange one year. I just love it.

Technically Sea Stars aren't fish so I think you are okay

We have both star fish and sand dollars so I guess our tree is loaded with dead fish!
