there was a thread by a mom who was going to talk to her son about coming out and I can't find it now. just wanted to say that it really helped me when I went to visit my daughter and meet her girlfriend. could not have gone better, the new daughter in law is a dream and they are so happy. thanks to everyone who posted on that thread.

I'm so glad you were open minded and embraced your daughters partner. If we as parents don't accept our children how in the heck can we expect the world at large to?

Daisy - where is Durham Region? I searched for "Durham" on Google Earth and it located Durham Grey ... is that the same place? It seems like all the stores here are busy with Canadian shoppers. I actually live south of the city and when I went to the local Target over the weekend I saw lots of Canadian plates. We'll take your money - our economy needs all the help it can get!

Hi Sue,
We're just east of Toronto. I'm not suprised that the 'region' couldn't be found, it's kind of obscure, even for google earth which btw my husband worships. Google earth is his new hobby, I say honey are you google earthing that?

I like driving through the falls or even niagara on the lake and then crossing over, going to chili's, a mall (usually blvd) and then target. I like the stores on transit road, there's a kohl's wegman's and target right together. LOL.
