There was a dearth of Mickey Bars -a March 2015 PTR- update 4/1 - link to TR!

Just found your PTR! We have so much in common! LOL My husband is a music professor and I'm a GS Leader- Good idea about this trip being the reward for surviving Cookie Season! :good vibes...

Okay, I'm going back to read the rest of your PTR! LOL I just got excited to join!

Thanks to all of you who stuck with me through my hiatus! I really appreciate you coming back. :)

We are now 93 days out from our arrival! Our 100 day party was Finding Nemo. Here is the menu:

The hot dog and pasta:

The oranges:

The pretzels – the girls made these:

Blue jello with fish shaped sprinkles:

In other news, I fixed all of our MDE issues this week. Basically, I reserved the rooms for our trip and MIL bought the tickets. Then, we linked our accounts and PRESTO we had 2 of everybody! So, I spent a little time with tech support this week and now that is all straightened out. I can see everybody's ticket. Now, I need to go practice some FP+ reservations so I know what I am doing when the time comes. :)

 Hi! Joining in!

Good start to your plans.

As far as an Elsa Dress goes, most that I have seen have some form of simi-shear fabric up top to help it not be strapless.

:welcome: Thanks for stopping by!

I have seen Elsa dresses like that too. The issue is finding a sheer that doesn't seem itchy. Also, in our past experience from going in March, the mornings can be quite chilly and the afternoons quite warm so I need to deal with that too.

Cute Frozen Night. Love the Idea of Olaf Sundaes

How magical to have a Theme Park View at the Contemporary! That is on my bucket list.

Thanks. I was hoping my snowman would look a little more "Olaf" than "Frosty", but it is hard to style ice cream. ;)

I am really looking forward to the CR! I think the kids are going to love it!

Hi! I followed you over from my PTR!

Your family is too cute! I can not wait to see the customs you come up with!

:welcome: Thanks for hopping over! I think they are cute too. I happen to know that I am getting a new sewing machine for Christmas (because I bought it :rotfl2:), so I am holding off on starting my customs until I get it unpacked. I can't wait!

Looks like you family had a nice DLR trip. I have been once and really enjoyed it. It's a totally different experience than a WDW,but fun.

I can't wait to hear what you all think of the contemporary. I think it will be really neat with a little one.

Cute movie night, we do them too, when things aren't so crazy around here.

Can't wait to hear more!

I enjoyed DLR. You are right about it being a different experience. I am glad we went, but I don't feel that same pull to rush back like I do from WDW.

We have a lot of fun with our movie nights! The kids get very into it and I enjoy having food that is outside of our regular routine.

Sounds like an insane month - I hope everyone's feeling all better!

I love those stockings! And that is one big Minnie - C looks very happy with her gift!

I love that monster party! You really have some of the most amazingly creative ideas - I'm very impressed.

Looking forward to reading more!

I thought the stockings were adorable too! She had their names embroidered on them.

If you think the Minnie is big, you should see Simba! I have no idea where they are going to put them. The girls must each have at least 50 stuffed animals - and they share a room.

Disney stuff is my creative outlet. My "normal" life doesn't allow much creativity, so I channel it all into Girl Scouts and WDW!

:welcome: That is so cool!

I lead troops for both of my daughters. J's troop is a mixed Junior/Cadette troop with 15 girls. C's troop is a mixed Daisy/Brownie troop with 28 girls. Last year, between the two troops we sold just over 7,000 boxes of cookies so by the time it was over I needed a break! I have a few more parents volunteering to help this year, but a lot of the burden is still on me.

What cute Finding Nemo food ideas! I am so awed by all the creative ideas for family movie nights. I'm lucky that I can get all of us in the same room to watch the same movie with popcorn:: :lmao:

I love the Nemo menu! I think my favorite is the octopus hot dog, but they're all really cute!

I'm so glad you got the MDE issue resolved! I've learmed that tech support can't always solve all the crazy glitches, so I'm glad they were able to solve yours.

FP+ isn't too but and I'm not sure you'll be able to practice in advance (I tried last trip, but couldn't figure it out). Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your little! Scary stuff! Hope everyone is on the mend soon!:wizard:

Your Nemo night was cute! Love the pretzel rods!

I have found tech support to be VERY helpful with issues on MDE. It's crazy how glitchy the system can be sometimes! :confused3

7000?!?!?!!! WHOA! That's just crazy!!! We have just Daisies, so that's good. I love helping, but it's SO much work! I just wasn't prepared for how much WORK goes into this! Does that make me sound terrible!? :scared:

We have lots of fun with it. I get most of the ideas from the theme night thread on the Family board or from Pinterest.

Thanks. Personally, I am partial to the orange fish. ;)

I was only on the phone about 20 minutes which was much faster than I expected.

Since we have our tickets linked, I have been able to practice making fastpasses for mid-January. I just cancel before the final confirmation page. I am getting a feel for how they present your choices.

Thanks! The girls had such fun making those pretzels.

We haven't had anyone sick in a couple of years, so I think we are getting it all this year. More about that later...

I don't think that sounds terrible at all. It is a part-time job (going to full time during cookie season). I have several super-sellers in my troops who sell 500 or more every year. They really boost our numbers.

Hi everyone! Well, it has been a couple of weeks since I have been on the DIS again. Let's see what has happened....

First, C turned 9. She had a great birthday party with two friends. We went to a local ice cream parlor for milkshakes and then went to see Big Hero 6. The movie was super cute!

Then, it was our family Christmas.

We didn't even manage to get the big tree up this year. Instead, we went out at the last minute and bought a little 4' pre-lit. It worked, but was much less grand than the 9 footer we usually use.

We spend actual Christmas day with my family in Ohio. However our trip was delayed a day by T throwing up 8 hours before we were supposed to leave. 6yo with a stomach bug driving 14 hours - no thank you!

We had a great Christmas with my parents and got to visit with my 91yo grandma.

Then D (the 2yo) somehow managed to get his foot caught in the sliding door of my parent's minivan. Of course, he had removed his shoes and the braces that he wears for his low muscle tone issues. So, we got to visit a new Children's hospital for some x-rays the day after Christmas. Luckily nothing is broken, but he has huge bruises on top and on the bottom of his foot.

Finally, we came home and had our 90 day party - Sword In the Stone!
We went with some traditional English food - a roast chicken prepared by the Kroger store and some steamed peas. Then we made swords out of mini craft sticks and put those in some boiled potatoes to be the sword in the stone.

Last night I started my sewing. I just need to put in some buttonholes and attach the skirt to the bodice and C's Minnie Mouse dress will be done. I hope to post a picture in a day or two.

That's all for now! Happy 2015 everyone!

I like the small tree - it makes it look like there are so many presents!

I'm glad D didn't break anything ... but I'm guessing you probably didn't want to spend the day after Christmas at the hospital.

I like using the potatoes as the "stone" and putting the sword in it - that's a cute idea!

Cute movie nights! I have never seen the sword and the stone, but my DH always says it was his fav as a kiddo so eventually we need to watch it!

Looks like an eventful holiday! I hope everyone has recovered! I like the small tree. I am thinking much smaller next year. Less is more, when it comes to a tree for me from now on.:rotfl2:

Cute Idea for Movie NIght! The potatoes are adorable!

I here ya on the sick front. FIrst DH came down with flu and then on Christmas I got a cold that passed to the whole family and then caused me a sinus infection! :sad2::headache:

Glad to hear that you've been able to enjoy your christmas dispite the mishaps! :wizard:

The Sword in the Stone really challenged me. There weren't any ideas on Pinterest. :confused3 Does that ever happen? The kids enjoyed the potatoes and played with the little swords until the glue let loose.

It is a good movie. Definitely a classic with lots of the traditional touches (starts with the opening of a book, etc). Worth a couple hours of your time. :)

Thanks! Right now, everyone is healthy. I am hoping we can stay that way for at least a couple weeks. After all, Girl Scout cookie sales start in just 4 days!
