There is NO random dancing at Disney! A June TR *NEW 9/19 *FINAL THOUGHTS*

I'm with you that sometimes it seems we went on the same vacation:goodvibes My kids also loved the Universe of Energy. It's one of DD's favorite rides:confused3 And the insistence of the family photopass shots. Definitely reminds me of someone I know well (like myself):lmao: And then all the KP missions. They really are a fun way to explore. Though we didn't do China. And the fabulous BC location where you just pop in and out of Epcot:cloud9: I really appreciate the HDDR review. I'm thinking about trying that out next summer and your experience only encourages me:goodvibes Great updates!

You know what they say about great minds.;)Oh my BC, how I love thee.:cloud9: That IG was FAB! Definitely check out HDDR if you can. It was so much fun.:thumbsup2

That is on my list to visit with the kids. I figure Luke needs to be at least 5 before it would really be fun, making Hannah ten. I remember the Sangria there from our honeymoon, we did it one night- front row table super fun!

Ooh, front row would be awesome! I debated and debated just paying OOP for category 1 so we could get seats right up front, but I just couldn't justify it for all 5 of us. I can definitely see your kids having fun there.:)

Great Update!!!
Question, In your opinion, would 2 teenage girls like HDDR? They would be 17 and 14 when we go next June. I have always wondered.
Love the pics.

Hey!! Look at your ticker! When did you book? I'm so excited for you.:yay: I think most teenagers would get a huge kick out of HDDR! In fact, some of the jokes and puns were aimed at an older audience.:)

DH surprised my about a week ago by booking it. Thanks for the info about HDDR. I will give it some thought. The food sounds great. It is all the kinds of food that we like. :lovestruc

Can't wait to hear about your evening.

Oh man, you make the HDDR sound so wonderful! If only I could get my kids to eat ribs or fried chicken... I REALLY want to go but it's no good if the kids won't eat. :(

Well hello and welcome!! How fun that you did gift bags for your DH and parents! I considered doing one for DH but was too lazy.:rotfl:Glad to have you on board.:goodvibes

Oh man, you make the HDDR sound so wonderful! If only I could get my kids to eat ribs or fried chicken... I REALLY want to go but it's no good if the kids won't eat. :(

I'm pretty sure I've read that they will bring in special food from Trail's End, like mac and cheese, etc. for people who won't eat what's normally served, if you really want to see the show.:thumbsup2

Great update! I am really on the fence between the hoop do do and CRT... I have always wanted to eat at the Castle... BUT I also have heard very good things about the HDDR as well! SOOOOOOOOO this is the decision I have to figure out! I also really want to MAKE it to the campfire there at the Fort this Dec, so MAYBE these two will win out! We'll see!

But it sounds like father's day was very fun! SO glad you had a great time!

Fun Father's Day! It does look hot in those PP pictures! Amelia's expression trying the Beverly is priceless! I chuckled when you told her it was "unforgettable" -- very clever way to put that!

More KP missions! I am still traumatized by ours -- maybe that's why I am taking my time on my TR -- they resurface on the last full day. ;)

HDDR sounds like a lot of fun! The perfect place to celebrate Dad's Day!

Unforgettable. That's clever. You've given me a new way to trap my next Beverly victim when the time comes. Watermelon is my favorite and the only one Brooklynn will touch.

I'm glad Hoop Dee Doo was great for all of you. We'll do that when the girls are a bit older. The down home cooking will have the boys on board for going!

That was a nice Father's Day. I want to be there for Mother's Day sometime, but since that's during school, I'll have to sneak out a few days. :tiptoe:

Hi there! Life has been crazy & I haven't been on here much lately, so I am trying to get caught up. Just finished your last 2 posts. I remember that heat so well! It's hard to put into words how bad it was, but I truly remember the sticky, nasty feeling. Yuck!

Your Epcot day looks like fun and it's interesting to hear about HDDR. Since we have never dong the Dining plan and we would be paying OOP, it seems too expensive to try. I think we would totally do it if we were on the DP though.

Yay!! Finally all cuaght up! Sounds like you guys really enjoyed your time at Epcot. (Even with the planning fiasco... I think that happens to all of us at least once!)

I've been thinking about booking HDDR for our next trip (whenever that is). I think the kids are at a great age to appreciate the show! Glad you guys had an amazing time. :thumbsup2

We did have a nice, but HOT, day. Oh, eating at the Castle is a great experience. I'd definitely do that one OOP though, and do HDDR on the dining plan. Its a great value!:goodvibes

Well, I couldn't very well lie to my darling daughter, could I? I'd NEVER do that.:rolleyes1

Uh oh.:sad2:

It really was and George loved it.:thumbsup2

Smart girl!:thumbsup2

I think a bit older is a good idea. The food was very tasty, especially the chicken!:)

It was a nice way to spend Father's Day.

Yes, I'm not usually a heat wimp, but that heat was oppressive!!!

Yes, I agree its quite expensive, but such a good value on the DDP!:thumbsup2

Hi Amy! We really enjoyed Epcot. I'm glad we had 2 1/2 days planned there, that way my planning fiasco could be redeemed.

I've been thinking about booking HDDR for our next trip (whenever that is). I think the kids are at a great age to appreciate the show! Glad you guys had an amazing time. :thumbsup2

Oh you so should! You'd all have a ball, I'm sure. I've been feeling very sorry for myself lately since we don't have another Disney trip in the works. Hopefully we both will be back before TOO long!

Fun update!

I always thought Ellen's was just something to look at! Never knew it was a ride!

So glad that you enjoyed HDDR. We went to MBYBBQ and it was LOUSY. The dancing was fun for the kiddos but the food was really bad. So glad that the food at HDDR was so much better!

You're funny! Yep, the Ellen theater seats separate and travel on a track "through time." It's like 40 min. long!

I hadn't heard many good reviews of the BBQ. HDDR was really awesome!!:goodvibes

Good guess...it's 38 minutes! I had to check it out on Wikipedia after you posted about riding it. Seriously thought it was some boring display so we've never gone in there! Good to know if we need a break from the heat some day!

I'm glad y'all had fun at the HDDR! We did that a LONG time ago on I think our first or second family trip to WDW when I was around 12 or 13, and we all had a blast. I am a sucker for some good mashed potatoes and strawberry shortcake! I love the pic of Ian on the shoe shine machine. Too cute!!

Looking forward to the next update. :goodvibes

I just found your tr the other day and finished reading through. I am loving it so far. Great job and I can't wait for more.

My family went to HDDR when I was 12 also, 1000 years ago, and I still remember it being a hoot! I knew my family would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much.:goodvibes

:welcome: I'm so glad to have to reading along! And now I'm off to check your PTR out. From your avatar picture, it looks like you have a good looking bunch of boys.:goodvibes

Glad to be here. As I said I am loving your TR, I just hope it isn't as hot when we go. Yay for you coming over to my PTR and thanks for the comment on my boys.

Thanks for your review of HDDR! It seems like almost everyone likes this place. I really don't know why we haven't done this yet:confused3
