Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We loved our MYOCL at SSR! I’m considering it for a relaxing pre-stay to an extended family week where no one will ever be on the same page. Walking to DS almost daily was fantastic for some food or cocktails. We took the boat to French Quarter for beignets and Yeehaw Bob. We had zero issues with the buses…except for the night we may have overindulged on a monorail crawl, got off at the wrong stop, and got hopelessly lost. Luckily a CM came by on a golf cart and sensed we were distressed 😅. She took pity on us and drove us to our building - we weren’t even close! We had an excellent dinner in the Turf Club Lounge and thought the QS was good for breakfast. I hope you have a great trip!
Too funny! Yep I get lost easily! I need to study some maps since a mono crawl is probably what we will do.

Thx!

At the airport, headed home. Ok, so - no more major drilling/jackhammering of marble. The CMs told me last week was the worst in a long time, possibly since they reopened after the brief closure previously to extract the birdcage. There was construction noise yesterday, but it was nothing compared to Wed-Thurs, and it was wrapped up early.

Nary a tea tray seen, and I was too bashful to ask about it - I wonder if they were testing for the tearoom? It kind of feels that way to me, there are not enough CMs there to be carting out teatrays, IMO, because you know the lounge would be freakin packed if they started it. They are not truly waitstaff, know what I mean? Mid-day offerings were beefed up every day and really nice, though not much variation in tea sandwiches/soup, seemed the same every other day. Short ribs are on WEDNESDAYS. You want them, trust me.

Our outer suite was fantastic, will post pics tomorrow. I prefer being in the main building, but I would have murdered dsis if we had been in a smaller room. Love her, but I know my limits 😂.

I still think GF is the best, the CMs (chefs included, they were out every day and very interactive), space, and food are fabulous, but proceed with caution mid-week for the next month or two. One CM confirmed that they are trying to meet a Nov completion date. Hoping the worst is over and that I just took one for the team!!

I would spring for a tpv or maybe a deluxe/turret to ensure you are not immediately adjacent to the lobby - just in case.

I was wondering if the noise would be muffled in a king deluxe turret room & if it would be better. We’ve been in the king rooms on 2 & honestly, the inconvenience isn’t worth it to me. Thanks for your help.

Too bad about the tea. I also think they might be preparing for a return of the tea room. Kind of explains why it isn’t happening regularly. When the chefs are testing things out, they might be offering it to get some feedback. Safe travels home.

I like Saratoga Springs! They have a good gym and lots of pools. If you like walking for
exercise (which I do) Well then!! This is the place. I have done the walk from Congress Park/SS to Old Key West
to have breakfast at Olivia's. (If you like to blunder through the Florida wilderness, then it's a great walk.)

The rooms are quiet -- I think one of the quietest resorts. I liked the last room refurb although it's been a while -- maybe 2021? I don't know how the rooms are holding up. I do like the preferred rooms at Congress Park -- easy walk along the water to DS, and I like the view at night. For a short solo trip, I like to stay at SS. It's easy access to good and varied quick service food/drinks because of proximity to DS. I don't mind eating by myself there because there are lots of other folks doing the same.

Drawback is the circuitous bus route to get in and out of SS. I always get off at Grandstand (first stop) and walk.
I've never eaten at the quick service at SS because of the proximity to DS. Uber/Lyft have picked me up at Congress
Park before -- I didn't have to walk to the front of SS.

You may hear construction noise in the deluxe turret rooms. If noise is a concern then a TPV room would be a better choice since they are not that close to the atrium. The turret rooms are in the corners around the atrium. I would take a bit of noise for the bigger room though. At least construction noise stops early in the day.

They at least have little hallways, was my thinking. The rooms literally lining the lobby atrium were the worst, I had one.

And of course, those are the rooms I requested. :rolleyes2

Thanks to you & @Maxie86 for your advice. I have a resort view BB rate which has no other rooms showing, so it’s killing me to have to change it. There are AP rates for both king rooms & TP view. Unfortunately TP view is showing for the day before we need it til our check out day or the day we check in but 1 night short. We’re CL at YC before GF & have dinner plans there, so I don’t want to move a night early. I’d really love one of the turret rooms, so I think I’ll book that & cross my fingers. If we get stuck on 2 again, I’ll ask nicely about moving. Ugh. I make my life so complicated sometimes.

I donno @focusondisney - you've probably built up a tolerance from the seemingly never-ending YC exterior work in your travels, right?!?
:-)

:thumbsup2 I’ll take never ending updates & refurbs over the decade + they didn’t do anything. I’ve been kind of laughing to myself remembering all the complaints that Disney wasn’t spending any money on resorts. They’re spending a fortune now & folks still aren’t happy. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This might be truest Disney observation of 2025!

It's true! I remember my last stay in 2016 before the room refurb was ROUGH. YC desperately needed these enhancements. 👍

Oh, don’t get me wrong - I just wish I’d gone for TPV!!!

We decided we may try 4 parks in 1 day on our trip😳 we were originally going to start in epcot then hop to wherever after. My friend said AK was fake animals and only went once🤣 so clearly she needs to go on the safari. However, I'm now confused about LLs. We really want to try test track. So does that mean I have to make all my selections for epcot and use at least one before I make any for another park? She seems to think we can rope drop AK (8am opening. 730 early for onsite) after the Halloween party. I know the safari isn't open for early entry. So now I can't make any LL for AK and have to wait on a regular line? I'm thinking if I make them for AK, I have no shot at TT? I know some rides have planned same day drops but I haven't been following it. I'm back at work next week so no shot of me stalking websites and figuring it out. Am I missing anything here or have it right?

Yes if you purchase LLMP for Epcot then you must enter Epcot, and tap in to (1) of your (3) LLMP attractions to unlock LLMP part hopping, and remove the tiers restrictions.

We don't use LLMP at AK, and yes your friend is correct AK is a good choice after a MNNSHP night to start your (4) park adventure.

Just book your LLMP park for the park were you plan to go after opening AK at EE. You are also correct that the Safari i is not an EE attraction but if you hit it by 8:30 AM you should have a wait but it will not be 70 minutes. It often is a max of 30-45 at that time of the morning.

Also we don't normally purchase LLMP for Epcot either but only for MK, and HS. However with TT 3.0 we are considering purchasing LLMP on our next Epcot visit.

We do four parks in a day pretty often, although sometimes that means something borderline silly like going to DAK just to go to Nomad Lounge, DHS for a stop at Baseline, or similar. Maybe will do a ride or two, maybe not. I like DAK first, Minnie Van/bus to DHS, Skyliner to Epcot, Monorail to MK (with maybe a stop at a monorail resort lounge along the way depending on the time). I’ll let others chime in on the LL stuff, but bouncing around property all day, even if you’re not being all that efficient, is always fun to me. Although may not work that well for others.

DAK 7:30am EE the day after a full Halloween Party seems like a recipe for disaster though.
