Thanks for your review of HDDR! It seems like almost everyone likes this place. I really don't know why we haven't done this yet![]()
I'm surprised too, especially seeing as beer is included.

I am loving this TR so far!! Your kiddos are the cutest!! The HDDR looks like a blast..I think we may have to try it next time.
Can't wait to read more!
Unforgettable!!I guess I must forget what it tastes in between trips because I have to try it again every time to make sure it is still horrible! I like the one from Germany!
Great pictures and it sure looked HOT!!
Tracy
YAY! I'm caught up once again!
Hi Missy! You've been quite the tripper this summer. You've inspired me to attempt camping with my family next summer. Except we only have one small tent. And 2 sleeping bags. And nothing else. Is shopping for camping supplies fun? I might need some major pointers from you!
Love the Epcot "golf-ball" shots! For some very odd reason, that's the only park that we did NOT get a PP pic in front of the icon. And we went there 3 times!! GO figure!Yours turned out very cute...good for you for insisting on the torture!
I'm glad I cracked the whip too.
So sorry you were not able to enjoy your food from Tangierine Cafe! MY FAVORITE CS in all of the WS! YUMMMMMM!!
I know, right? It was tasty, but I think it was just too darn hot for food to have major appeal, KWIM?
We tried the school bread and the sweet pretzel this trip as well. Jeff got the school bread and Dan ordered the pretzel. Great DIS minds think alike I suppose!
What did you guys think of the school bread?
HDDR is something that has been totally off my radar. From your review it sounds like something my family would LOVE! I love the pics of your family waiting to be called. The auction thing is totally something Jeff would do! LOL! And the pic of Ian on the shoeshine chair is adorable!
Sounds like a great Father's Day! Can't wait to hear more!
Ok I think I've gotten caught up...
I'm glad that you enjoyed the HDDR-we have never done it (DH had a semi traumatic experience at the Golden Horseshoe Revue (now sadly gone) at the MK way back in the day (before children)...he was kind of reserved and they seem to sense that kind of thing and let's just say he was kind of picked out for the joking and hasn't expressed enthusiasm about HDDR since...
Bummer! I have one child who is more reserved, which is one of the primary reasons why I didn't pay OOP for category 1 seats, which are directly in front of the stage. The performers passed by our table, but didn't single any of us out which worked great for us.
Bravo for Amelia on the riding of RnR-she gave it a go and now she knows its not her thing...
She's braver than her mom..
Cute ears on the girls (Disney knows how to move product don't they?) We did them too...
Too funny! Yes, their marketing teams definitely earn their paychecks.
I love Morocco-so well themed and the Tangerine Cafe imho has very good food...
The Moroccan pavilion was just gorgeous and the shwarma was very tasty, especially the lamb. If I'd only been a little hungrier and a little cooler..
Sound like all was going quite well...![]()
Whew! I'm finally caught up. I love your report. I truly wish I had started reading it from the beginning. Your family is lovely and so much fun. I had laughed so many times, but my favorite would be your TSM ride.
Aw, you're so sweet. Thank you!I'll never live my TSM ride of shame down in my house.
We've never done HDDR but your report makes me really want to try it. I've never been able to stay awake for Ellen's. Both times I've ridden it I fell asleep. Your second Epcot day sounds much better than the first. What a wonderful Father's Day.
Hi there! We're back and I'm caught up on your updates I missed. A great read, as always.![]()
Yippee!!So, so glad to have you back!! Can't wait to hear all the juicy trip details.
Loved the ears the girls created! Ours from our first trip are getting a little worse for wear so those are a definate on our next trip. Ian's fun in the fountain was tooo cute and your HDDR experience makes me want to try it too. I've been resisting cause the hubby doesn't like the menu but I'll see if we can sneak it in there next time.
Ok, I know school bread is pastry royalty here on the disboards, but I have to say, although it was very good, I wouldnt go out of my way for it. Actually, both pastries were a wee bit dry. Maybe it was an off day? Anyway, George and I got our Shwarma in Morocco, which was quite good, but honestly, it was so hot out that I just never felt hungry.
We walked back over the International Gateway to our waiting room and found our first and only towel creation.
I think its a duck.

After the cornbread came the main courses, which were ribs, fried chicken, beans and mashed potatoes served in metal buckets. It was standard picnic food, but good. The mashed potatoes were downright addicting! After some more skits, music and knee slappers, dessert was served which was the most amazing strawberry shortcake ever. Even though we were all ridiculously full we managed to choke down some. I may have made room for 2 helpings, actually. Here's our crew, full and happy after dinner and a show.

The verdict? We would book the Hoop de doo Review again in a heartbeat! The entertainment was great and the food was tasty. We all agreed it was probably our favorite ADR of the trip. We all had different opinions on our favorite meal, food wise and Ian especially really enjoyed the character meals, but HDDR appealed to all of us. It cost us 2 TS credits on the DP for category 2 seats which is a great value, considering beer, wine or sangria are included as is gratuity.
Next Post: The evening is young, where shall we go?
I love the Shwarma but if it was that hot out...ugh, that just doesn't sound appealing at all! Might have had something to do with the dry pastries as well!
I'd definitely go back because the food was tasty, but I was disappointed that after being so anxious to try it, I just wasn't all that interested. It's a do over for sure!
I'm so glad you liked it! We loved it and the tween and teen thought it was just as great as everyone else did. They may not have played the washboard and been a little timid with the napkin twirling but they laughed as hard as the rest of us.
I think its one of the best choices for a mixed age group.
Pretty sure I had seconds on those taters...Dh had thirds (don't tell). ITA, well worth the 2 credits.
Just got caught up again! We had lots of fun at HDDR last March, but it's quite a ways out there if you are traveling by bus....
I thought we were not going to arrive on time and we left an hour and a half early!
I'd heard it was a hike! You have to take a resort bus and then the internal bus system at FW, or a bus to the MK and the boat over to FW. I was glad we had a car and might consider a taxi if we didn't.
Sounds like a great day at Epcot, no rushing just taking it easy!
I can't wait to see where you all headed next....
I'm hoping to get back to WDW next year and I defintly am going to do HDDR! That sounds fun and the food look DEElish! You guys look like you had so much fun! I love Ian's expression like YAHHHHHHHH!
OK, I'm all caught up - love the links, so easy to get currentIt looks like everyone is having an awesome time so far! Can't wait to read more - you're a great writer and photographer!

This is an amazing trip report. It is great to read yours, because we were there at the exact same time and even were at Epcot on the same day....Father's Day.
