There is NO random dancing at Disney! A June TR *NEW 9/19 *FINAL THOUGHTS*

Nooooo, I don't want your trip to be over. We went through this together and I have enjoyed reading about your trip as it paralleled mine. :sad1:

Do you remember what time you left the CP? What side did you sit on? I think we sat on the opposite side from you. We went right after you walk in the door. The pictures at the breakfast are so good. The characters are so sweet. I also really enjoyed your last pictures in front of the castle.

Happy Belated Birthday!! :cake::bday:
I'm glad it wasn't as bad as you had expected... I have a few more years before I hit 40, but it's creeping up quickly. I'll be 36 in two weeks. :headache:

Thanks Amy!:goodvibes

I enjoyed your last update - I know exactly what you mean about "enjoying the moment" at Disney. I finally slowed down and tried to do just that on our last trip - previous trips had been all rush, rush, rush and trying to get things crossed off our to-do list. I think it made a big different - at least for me.

You did a great job relaxing this last trip, and your pictures show it. Everyone looks happy and not harried. Its such a balancing act, especially if there are rides you want to experience that grow lines quickly. Thank goodness for FP.:thumbsup2

The pearls look like so much fun - Zachary is watching over my shoulder and he said he wants to get one. ;) I told him he could help me get one next time.

Cute! Ian thought the ceremony was cool, too. I've read about boys in other TR picking the oyster for their mommy.:thumbsup2

NOOOOO! It can't be over already!:sad2:

I've had so much fun reliving it. I wish it could go on and on and on and...

Happy Belated Birthday! I turn the Big 40 in 2011... Love your update too!

Thank you!:goodvibes Look how close your trip is!:yay: Are you still able to sleep?

Aww I can't believe that your TR is done :( I have really enjoyed reading it :)

Thank you.

The Crystal Palace pics are so cute, I love this restaurant :) Sorry you couldn't stroll and soak up Main Street, but there is always next time :)

The characters were especially fun here, especially Pooh and Tigger, and the food was very good.

I love the pics of Pixie Hollow and not a bad wait time.

Definitely worth the wait.:)

Glad you had a great birthday :)

I did, thanks.:goodvibes

Oh no...I'm so sad to see this trip coming to an end!!!! Are you sure it has to end....LOL!!!

I wish it didn't. I'll have to live vicariously through my dis friends TRs and PTRs for awhile.:)

Loved your pictures of the kids and the Pooh Characters!! I also love how you let them decide how they wanted to spend their last day!!! They look so cute with the fairies...how fun!!!!

I actually thought about you and Leslie while we were in line waiting and I giggled. We didn't get the third degree, though.:rotfl: Our fairies were well behaved.

The last day!?! :sad2:

I know, right? How did that happen?

For a last day it sounded pretty darn good. Dumbo and the fairies? YAY! I adore riding Dumbo, I guess that just means I'm a big kid!

There is something so Disney about Dumbo. I was so surprised at how adamant all the kids were about waiting, though.

I'm so sad to see it end and ashamed I still haven't finished mine yet.

Thanks, me too, and you've had a thing or two to keep you otherwise occupied.;)

460.jpg

I LOVE this picture! You captured the moment perfectly.

I can't believe your report is over! I've enjoyed reading it so much I hate to see it end! :sad2:

I want to try Crystal Palace, but feel like my boys have really outgrown Pooh....what did your girls think? I've heard the food is great and the setting is just beautiful!

We saw the fairies this past trip and we were impressed as well with their level of interaction. Tink was a hoot! :rotfl:

I turn 40 in February...good to see you have weathered it so well..You can talk me down when it's my turn! ;)

I'm sad to see your TR end- I really enjoyed it AND all of your great photos!!

Thank you! Look how close your trip is! Are you still able to sleep?

You know I am not excited for my trip at all! :confused3 I was before but now not so much. I think I am tooooo stressed out. A lot to do here at work with payroll next week and then when I've gone on vacation for a whole week something alwasy bites me in the butt that i forget to do and I come back to getting in trouble. My husband is having a lot of problems with his job so thats more stress. Then there is the packing! I have my son pretty much done but mine is all in a pile in a corner in my room and I havent been able to cypher (sp?) through it and really pack! Oh my time is flying by and I don't have enough time to get stuff done. So yeah I'm just stressed out. Breathe right? Hopefully next week this will be me inside :yay::dance3::banana::woohoo:

Ummm can you tell me what CHH stands for? :confused3

Ummm can you tell me what CHH stands for? :confused3

 Breathe! I so agree on the "coming back to being in trouble" part of a vacation, but you need it! Try really hard to get as much done before you go as you can and then.... just let it go. Hop on your plane and enjoy!

CHH is Columbia Harbour House. An extremely yummy (so I've heard lots of times, I've not been yet!) counter service restaurant.

Good luck and I hope you get your excitement back!!!

Thanks for fielding her question, Mickey Mom!:thumbsup2 I completely missed it. Columbia Harbour House is across from the Haunted Mansion in the MK and I was dying to have their tuna sandwich all week! It was worth it.:) Sorry about the stress! I think I felt similarly at about that point before our trip. It just felt like there was so much to do, but you'll get there. Enjoy it.:goodvibes

Ohhhhhh I can't believe it is over. Say it isn't so! First of Happy Happy Birthday!!! Mine was a day later than you and one tiny year younger :rolleyes1 Hope you had a great day!
Loved your photopass pictures...waving goodbye...aww....I just dread that walk out of the MK the last day/night....:worried: Thanks for sharing your TR although I am sure you have a little something left in ya! :)

Tracy

Hearing you saying goodbye to the Beach Club brought a tear to my eye! Oh the memories. And your trip report ending almost feels like my trip report ending which almost feels like my actual trip ending all over again. I think I'll go to my corner and cry now:sad2::sad2:

I'll join you!:sad1:

Great CP pictures and great Fairy pictures! Those are both great places. And you gotta ride Dumbo at least once a trip;) Waiting for those final thoughtspopcorn::

I think CP might be the only place we got pictures of the girls and the characters without Ian.:thumbsup2:The fairies were great fun and both they and Dumbo were worth the wait.:goodvibes

Sad it is over, but it was so fun to read along and imagine what it will be like when my kids get bigger. You had a great last morning... and honestly those Dumbo and Fairy waits are not that bad. Wish we would have said hi!

I know! I was kicking myself after we walked out of there.:sad2:

Oh, I am so sad your TR is almost over!!! :(

Thanks Jackie!:hug:I've enjoyed writing it.

Too bad about running late to the Crystal Palace, but you got some great pictures with the characters!

Have I mentioned that I HATE to be late. The characters were full of spunk and the kids got a big kick out of them, especially Pooh.

I love that all the kids wanted to ride Dumbo!!! :goodvibes

There must be an internal magnetic force drawing people to Dumbo. Even my thrill rider HAD to ride Dumbo!:)

You met the fairies!!! Ian looks absolutely enthralled with Fawn -- just precious!

Fawn was great and the kids ate up the attention she gave them. Ian must have really loved her costume. I didn't notice until I saw the photopass pictures that Ian was holding her pants!

I love that you had a safe and objective perspective of the Dumbo Dash-It was have been interesting to objectively watch that...

It was fun to watch from afar.

The CP is so pretty inside and I've heard such great things about the food...it makes me want to overcome my irrational fear of the Pooh characters-they seem so "BIG"-especially Piglet...which is of course ridiculous because I have no problems with the other characters...:confused3

I agree that Piglet looks a little, well, WRONG. I wonder if its partly relational perspective. Piglet should be quite a bit smaller than the other characters, but he's not. I don't know, but maybe you could make a reservation and tell the hostess to kindly keep Piglet away from your table, he freaks you out.:rotfl:

Great pictures w/the fairies...:thumbsup2

We all were glad we waited.

No don't say goodbye to the BC...

I wish I didn't have to.:sad2: Some day when I magically become independently wealthy winning the lottery I don't play I'll move in for a month.:cloud9:

Draw it out...
Draw it oooooouuuuuuutttttttt....

;)

Ahhh..the last day is sooo sad!!:sad2: I still can't believe your TR is almost over, I've had so much fun reading it.:goodvibes

Thanks Angie.

We love CP!! It sounds like you had a great breakfast!! It's always so nice to get into MK before the park opens. Sorry that you were running late. Last year, we scheduled CP for breakfast on our last morning too. We were also a few minutes late, with last minute packing and having to bring our luggage down for them to hold. I under estimated how long everything would take, so as we were running down Main Street, I was trying to snap pictures of the castle. I'm surprised they didn't come out blurry.

That's funny! I can just see you, camera to your eye, jogging down the street.:rotfl:

Love Dumbo!!:lovestruc and the pictures with the fairies are just beautiful!! Ian's expression as he was looking up at Fawn is adorable.:goodvibes

That's one of my favorites. He was enthralled.:lovestruc

I can't wait to hear your final thoughts.....

Oh you had such a lovely last day. Crystal Palace is a beautiful place to eat. I've only had dinner so I need to try breakfast. We only met 2 fairies when we went to. We had Tink and Silvermist. Danielle would have much preferred Fawn, she's her favorite too. CHH is my favorite counter service in MK. Your photopass pictures are beautiful.

I wish we would have had time to eat inside CHH. I had visions of going upstairs to enjoy my tuna sandwich, but time got away. Again, my crew was not thrilled with stopping in the heat for yet another picture, but I pulled out my whip and everyone complied.

I'm so sad your trip is ending. When are you going again? I want to read another report.

Aw, thanks. I wish I knew for sure when we'll get back. Next year Ian will be in school full time so I can go to work for Disney money!:yay:

I'm glad you survived the big 40...it's much better AFTER it's over! 40's are fabulous!

That's good to hear! Its funny, the weekend at my mom's was about celebrating, but on my actual b-day, I wanted quiet self reflection. I went to the movies by myself and saw Julie and Julia, which, by the way, was sooo good. Better than the book, in my opinion. When I got home, I took several hours to make Boeuf Bourguinon for dinner.

Darling pictures of your last day, what a lovely morning you all had! I can't wait to read your final thoughts.

Breakfast and a couple of attractions were a great way to end the trip.

Oh, your whispered goodbye made my eyes well up. :sad1:

It was actually a little hard to write.:sad1:

I love Crystal Palace! Such a beautiful place and the characters... :lovestruc although I agree Piglet should be downsized.

Maybe a petition is in order!:rotfl:

Ah, Dumbo. What is it about thee ride that makes us all love you?

I dunno, but its STRONG STUFF!!

Pixie Hollow has joined our list for "next time". We have to get up to snuff on the characters though, we only know Tink. Ian looked downright smitten, he's toooo cute!

Definitely give Pixie Hollow a shot. Rent the Tink movie, if you don't have it. Its very cute and will give you the low down on all of the fairies. I was surprised at how much Ian truley liked the fairies, Fawn in particular although I can't say I blame him. They were pretty darn cute!

I can't believe your done. I've said before, your family is so similar to mine.... I've really really enjoyed your report. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all. :grouphug:

Its really been my pleasure. And now that I'm going to be done I'll have more time to keep current on all of my favorite PTRs and TRs!:goodvibes

You made my cry! :sad1: Saying goodbye is so hard. It is nice to know that someday you will be back. We love CP and the pooh characters.

Someday.:thumbsup2

CHH has become a family favorite here. YUMMY!!:lovestruc

Yes, sandwich, apple cobbler thingie, chicken tenders, all YUM!

Can't wait for the final thoughts.popcorn::

Our time with the fairies was great, too. They did a great job playing off of each other and talking with our little girls.

I can't wait to read all about it in your TR.:goodvibes

I am sad to see your trip end. You get used to seeing each other's families around here, and then poof, the trip is over and you miss seeing these great kids you've had around every few days in pictures. Thanks for sharing your great report with us!
We will look forward to hanging out with you on future trips, though, and seeing you on other trip reports until then.

Thanks MeMom. I know what you mean, I've felt the same when other TRs ended.

We say goodbye, too. In my head, I say goodbye to some pretty silly things (goodbye big bunch of balloons, goodbye horse and trolley, goodbye Main Street Bakery, goodbye Goofy sitting on a bench statue) in Disney World as I walk out, but it's something I just need to do!

Its the MeMom version of Goodnight Moon!:goodvibes

P.S. I thought it was quite mom-like and funny to make your crew eat food they didn't want just so it wouldn't go to waste. They will probably never let you forget about that, though, and as teenagers and grown kids, they will embellish the story as they tell it to make it quite entertaining and get the last laugh on their dear old mom!

I think they thought I was a little crazy, but darn it, I wanted us to enjoy our CHH meal before it went bad! It was quite yummy although we may have thrown a good bit of it away anyhow. It sounds like you are familiar with how these crazy mom stories grow, MeMom. I'm sure my kids will have plenty!:rotfl:

You will be back someday!! I just know it!!

You're right. I'm counting on it.:thumbsup2

I loved reading along... and am looking forward to the wrap-up!

Thanks Kathy.

Kathy

Thank you!!:)

The last day is sad when it is time to leave. You did get some great pics and the fairy wait wasn't that bad. When we were there it was 70 minutes and it wasn't quite 9:30 am.

WOW! That's a long wait that I'm not sure I could handle. I don't have a very well developed wait patiently gene.

Funny, I didn't have a problem turning 40 but 30 was very hard for me.

My only problem with turning 30 was that my dear George sweetly decided to throw me a surprise birthday party. Did I mention I had delivered Amelia 3 weeks earlier? Or that I was wearing his shorts and an old tshirt when we walked in the door to "SURPRISE" because none of my clothes fit me yet? He knew better than to try that again, poor guy.

I would be a little upset if my DH did that to me. They mean well but don't really think. Mine wanted to go away for a weekend family trip when my daughter was 2 weeks old. Let's just say that we didn't go.

AWwwwwww!!!!!!!!! That was just a great TR, I just enjoyed reading your PTR and the TR all this spring and summer!!! :goodvibes I love that last 1/2 day, despite the mad dash to CP, you still had a nice farewell it seems...

Good for you and I look forward to your final thoughts on the trip!!! I get what you mean about now catching up on all other things !!!! :rotfl:

Keep chatting on the DIS though!! ;)

Nooooo, I don't want your trip to be over. We went through this together and I have enjoyed reading about your trip as it paralleled mine. :sad1:

I concur. Its been fine trying to figure out where our trips intersected.:goodvibes

Do you remember what time you left the CP? What side did you sit on? I think we sat on the opposite side from you. We went right after you walk in the door. The pictures at the breakfast are so good. The characters are so sweet. I also really enjoyed your last pictures in front of the castle.

We were on the left side of the restaurant and we left breakfast around 9:15-9:30 I think? I wasn't very aware of the time this day, clearly!

I LOVE this picture! You captured the moment perfectly.

I like it too. Pooh was such a playful character.:)

I can't believe your report is over! I've enjoyed reading it so much I hate to see it end! :sad2:

Thanks Missy. I hate to be done with it also. It feels like the trip is coming to an end all over again, but this time with special Dis-friends to say goodbye to also.:sad2:

I want to try Crystal Palace, but feel like my boys have really outgrown Pooh....what did your girls think? I've heard the food is great and the setting is just beautiful!

I just asked Maddy what she thought and she said, and I quote, "I liked it. It was a little young for me, but I liked it." Soooo, I guess take that how you will. She seemed to enjoy the feistiness of a couple of the characters during the meal and the atmosphere can't be beat.:thumbsup2

We saw the fairies this past trip and we were impressed as well with their level of interaction. Tink was a hoot! :rotfl:

Tink was SO Tink, wasn't she? Funny and a tiny little bit of a pill!:rotfl:

I turn 40 in February...good to see you have weathered it so well..You can talk me down when it's my turn! ;)

Its easy to start going down the "midlife crisis" road, but I'm going to use those thoughts to make a couple of smallish changes to hopefully improve my next 40 years.:thumbsup2 Don't worry, I'll be here for you, Sister!:goodvibes

I'm sad to see your TR end- I really enjoyed it AND all of your great photos!!

Thank you so much!:goodvibes

It's over???? :sad2:
How could it be over???? :guilty:
I was having so much fun!

Me too!! Now we have to play at your TR!:dance3:

Ohhhhhh I can't believe it is over. Say it isn't so! First of Happy Happy Birthday!!! Mine was a day later than you and one tiny year younger :rolleyes1 Hope you had a great day!
Loved your photopass pictures...waving goodbye...aww....I just dread that walk out of the MK the last day/night....:worried: Thanks for sharing your TR although I am sure you have a little something left in ya! :)
Tracy

Your birthday was a national holiday!:yay: Happy Birthday to you, too!:goodvibes: The final walk the wrong way down Main Street is very sad indeed. All the bounce had left our step.:sad2: Thanks for reading, Tracy!

First, hope your birthday was HAPPY! :goodvibes

Always sad to read about the last day of a Disney trip, but it seems like you guys did it all! So fun the kids all wanted to ride Dumbo -- gave me a lump in my throat! My girls are 4 and 1 and I always wonder if/when the magic will fade. (Although I am 36 and am jumping out of my skin for our upcoming trip!)
So nice to see that even the "big girls" loved Dumbo and the fairies. FUN!

Good call on the late check out AND not leaving mayo to sit in an enclosed location on a June day...in Florida ;)

Your goodbye to Beach Club made me misty-eyed! I'm eager to hear your final thoughts. Your family seems SO GREAT! Thanks for sharing your TR with us!!!

:sad1: The last day is always hard... but it sounds like you guys had a pretty good one. :thumbsup2 We don't usually have time for any parks on our departure day - we'll see... maybe next time. :confused3

Thanks Happy. I was happy we didn't have much on our agenda. We left the MK feeling like we'd done all that we'd come to do.:) I'm still not caught up, but I'm working on it. Someday!:rotfl: I'm not going anywhere, I've got PTR and TRs to follow!:goodvibes

First, hope your birthday was HAPPY! :goodvibes

It was, thank you.:goodvibes

I was surprised and pleased that the girls wanted to ride Dumbo also. It was there very first ride when we came to WDW in '05. They have such fond memories of that trip, as do I, so I think the Dumbo ride brought those memories back for them. For some of us, the magic just never fades!:goodvibes

Good call on the late check out AND not leaving mayo to sit in an enclosed location on a June day...in Florida ;)

See, I KNEW other moms would understand my insanity over the mayo!:rotfl:

Your goodbye to Beach Club made me misty-eyed! I'm eager to hear your final thoughts. Your family seems SO GREAT! Thanks for sharing your TR with us!!!

Aw, thank you so much. I think they're pretty special. Writing this TR has been a huge pleasure for me. It was like reliving my trip and sharing it with people who get why it was so special, instead of people whose eyes glaze over after 5 minutes.:laughing:Thanks for reading.:goodvibes

:sad1: The last day is always hard... but it sounds like you guys had a pretty good one. :thumbsup2 We don't usually have time for any parks on our departure day - we'll see... maybe next time. :confused3

We did have a nice last day and I think leaving the MK was a little easier because it was so very, very, VERY hot. Leaving our resort was harder.:sad2: We didn't have much in the way of time commitments because we had driven so hitting a park was pretty easy.
