There is NO random dancing at Disney! A June TR *NEW 9/19 *FINAL THOUGHTS*

Happy Birthday!

I remember that big number....

Just remember, that's all it is! A number. Have fun :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

:bday: :cake: :rockband:

I hope it really is happy!

Don't get hung up on numbers...

You have a fabulous family, and as long as you're happy and healthy...;)

Hello All! My plan had been to update by today, but its just not going to happen, so I apologize. We're leaving for my parents in the next hour to spend a couple of days on Lake Michigan and to celebrate my birthday. :beach: I'm not too keen on that part, but apparently its a big deal for my mom that her baby is turning a very big number.:sad2:I'd really rather just pretend its not happening. Anyway, I'll definitely be updating when we get home on Sunday. Thanks for sticking with me and have a wonderful weekend everyone!!:goodvibes

Happy Birthday! Today is Trent's birthday, as well. He is 25 today. Are you 25, too? :)

Of course your mom wants her girl there, no matter what 'number' you are. You are still her little girl!

Happy Birthday! We are supposed to have a great weekend here on the East side, hope it is just as great on the West.

I'm a little behind so I have a lot to comment on.

I love the Beverly trick! I have a picture of Rob with that same look our first trip together. He already has plans to get A. on this trip!

I can't believe how hot it is! With that being said, I would totally make my family stand and get photopass pictures too. :)

The Kim Possible looks so cool!

I cannot wait for my kids to get older to do HDDR! It looks so fun. I was  about your kids reaction to the beer! Mom and Dad need to unwind too! :)

What a relaxing evening. I love your thoughts about being in the moment. So true! I hope to do the same on our upcoming trip, maybe I need to pin a note to my shirt. ;)

Can't wait for your next update!

Happy Birthday!
Wishing you a fantastic weekend!

:boat::bday::boat:

P.S. You are not old.....

The last one is my fav piece that I wear more so than the others.

I love those pearls and we definately have to do that when we get back...I don't understand one thing...If you bring a setting with you from home...will they set the pearl that you buy there in your setting in other words-will they set their pearl in your setting...

Thank you ladies :)

PracPerfPatricia - You can bring your own settings and they will set it no probs. There is a thread called pick a pearl setting on here you should check out. Alot of the pick a pearlers seem to be purchasing Cinderella Coach Cages and getting pearls from WDW for them. They are pretty cool :)

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone.:goodvibes My actual birthday was yesterday, but we had a very nice, relaxing trip to my parents to celebrate early. We spent the whole afternoon on Saturday relaxing on the beach. Ahhh..I miss my lake now that I've moved inland. I've come to terms with turning 40 and I'm excited to try some new things and change course in a few areas in my life.

Stefy, thanks for the pick a pearl pictures. You've got some beautiful pieces! I showed them to my girls and they both liked your lizard the best.:goodvibes

I'm working on getting caught up on PTRs and TRs, so if I haven't gotten to yours yet, I apologize. I'm on my way, promise!:flower3: AND I've got my update nearly finished, so that will be up today sometime too. Thanks for reading, everyone.:grouphug:

Happy Belated Birthday!! :cake::bday:

I'm glad it wasn't as bad as you had expected... I have a few more years before I hit 40, but it's creeping up quickly. I'll be 36 in two weeks. :headache:

I enjoyed your last update - I know exactly what you mean about "enjoying the moment" at Disney. I finally slowed down and tried to do just that on our last trip - previous trips had been all rush, rush, rush and trying to get things crossed off our to-do list. I think it made a big different - at least for me.

The pearls look like so much fun - Zachary is watching over my shoulder and he said he wants to get one. ;) I told him he could help me get one next time.

On this day, our very last day in Disney World, I woke up at the crack of dawn, maybe even earlier, and after a shower woke the rest of my sleeping beauties. We had an 8:05 breakfast appointment with the Hundred Acre Wood bunch and I didn’t want to keep them waiting. We then got up and dressed and moved most of our bags to our car. I’d called mousekeeping at 7:00 to request a late check out and I’d been granted 1:00 so we didn’t have to move everything from the room before we left. We began our drive to the Magic Kingdom with what I thought was plenty of time, visions of an empty Main Street dancing in my head. Unfortunately, having never driven to the MK, I underestimated the time it would take to park at the TTC, hike to the monorail platform from the lot, and wait for a monorail to the MK. We were rushing by the time we got off the monorail. and were fully 15 minutes late for our 8:05 ressie at Crystal Palace. Instead of a leisurely stroll down an empty Main Street with the castle in the background, we were power walking down Main Street, late for our very important date! I was feeling a little bit disappointed that we’d missed our opportunity at those crowd less pictures, but I didn’t stress about it. I figured that as long as we still could have breakfast, there would be no worries about missed opportunities. Sure enough, after only a short wait we were seated.

Continued in next post..

We enjoyed our meal at the Crystal Palace. It’s a very airy and light inside and the food was very good. I didn’t really “get” the breakfast lasagna, however. It was much too soggy for my liking. From our table we had a great view of the mad Dumbo Dash down Main Street, although it didn’t hold a candle to the Soarin’ jog or the Toy Story Mania stampede. Our fasts sufficiently broken, we stepped out into the blazing inhumanly hot sunshine that was Florida on June 22nd. Today’s attraction agenda was super short. We wanted to ride Dumbo and visit with the Fairies. George agreed to play photographer while the rest of us queued up in a line estimated to take 30 minutes. Yuck. I asked the kids if they really wanted to wait in a 30 minute line, the longest we’d waited all week, and the answer, even from my 11 year old, was a resounding YES! Sorry for all of the commas in the preceding sentence. I got a bit carried away. Anyway, we waited patiently for our turn. I was on an elephant with Amelia, honestly, but George didn’t have a good vantage point to photograph us. Or so he says.

After Dumbo, we went to visit Pixie Hollow. The posted wait time for the Fairies? 35 minutes. Again, since we had such a short agenda, we decided to wait.

Its time to line up.

As we get closer to Pixie Hollow, we’re magically shrinking.

First we visited with Tinkerbell. She was just darling.

Image1610.jpg

Don’t we look like two separate groups here?
Image1611.jpg

Fawn was our second fairy and the girls were so excited! They were hoping she’d be here. Look how excited Ian is.
Image1616.jpg

The close up. This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip.

A flying lesson
Image1617.jpg

Ian must have really liked how Fawn’s costume felt…
Image1620.jpg

Our verdict on the wait for the fairies—worth it! Our interaction with them was just great and it was special to have all of Pixie Hollow to ourselves. Usually I think there are three fairies, but my kids were happy to see Tink and Fawn, who is their favorite, because she’s the animal one lover of the group I guess. Having gotten our fairy fix, Amelia wanted a second ride on the Barnstormer. You can probably guess that Ian did NOT, so while the big kids and George rode the coaster, Ian and I went to tour Minnie’s house.

Maybe my house would stay cleaner if I coated everything in shellac…

And then the girls and George were back to join us.
504.jpg

And with that we’d officially done everything on our must do list for the day. We batted around a few ideas for our last hour and both Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion came up as good possibilities so we walked slowly through Fantasyland toward the HM, Ian’s top choice. As I looked at my watch I realized we were going to need to wrap things up in the MK very soon in order to make it back to the BC for our late check out. We decided then to get some lunch to go at CHH. I ordered a tuna sandwich, a BLT salad, and 3 chicken tender meals. We took our food and began walking toward the entrance, or in our case, exit. Of course I made my family stop for one last photopass picture.

Image1630.jpg

I knew while this picture was being taken that we might have some problems.
Image1632.jpg

And with that, it was time for us to say goodbye. We were all sad to see our time at Walt Disney World come to an end, but all good things must I suppose. We made it to our car where, even though we weren’t in the least hungry due to the high, high heat, I made people begin eating those lunches. I just didn’t think mayonnaise or protein sitting in a hot car was such a great idea. Call me crazy. At the BC we picked up the few things still in our room, used up our remaining snack credits in the marketplace and filled up our mugs. I took one last inhale of that lovely Beach Club lobby and whispered, my eyes damp, “Goodbye for now. Someday we’ll be back.”
