There is NO random dancing at Disney! A June TR *NEW 9/19 *FINAL THOUGHTS*

Nothing worse then being, tired, hungry and grumpy. I think we have all been there. One time my DD when she was little didn't want to leave a certain part of the park and we were there for hours. She didn't want to go to the bathroom either. She finally made it to the bathroom just in time and I said OK now we can eat and every thing was closing up.:confused3 We finally got some food when we left. Time does slip by fast.

Whew! 5 pages later and I'm caught up! Le Cellier is just yummy! You and George order the exact same thing as Shocker and I. We love the soup for dipping as well.
I have hated adding my pictures to the trip report this summer as well. I looked much better last spring! Even though to add validity to the report I even posted one in my bathing suit......

You must have been so relieved that the market place was open for you guys when you got back, I'm glad you all didn't have to go to bed hungry or all split up Madeline's left over sandwich.

OOOH I love me some DHS so I can't wait to hear all about it!!!

I'm so glad the Marketplace was open and you were able to grab a bite to eat before heading to sleep!!! I'm sure you were all hungry and tired!!!!

Loved that Ian was able to ask Crush a question that is just too much fun!!!!!

Can't wait for more!

Amelia put her little arm around me and said, "Don't worry, Mom, I just prayed that the Marketplace would be open when we get back to the BC."

Christine, that was so sweet. Sometimes the things that come out of children's mouths are absolutely touching... Amelia was your little angel that night!

Time does have a way of speeding up at Disney! :hourglass

I'm so glad for you that you were able to find food. It is really surprising that they don't keep something open while the park is closing. You should not feel bad, because we all have had our moments like that. Remind me to tell you sometime about the time that we were in Hawaii (while I was 6 months pregnant) w/ both sets of our parents. I was starving and all of our parents wanted to stay on the beach in case the sea turtles happened to come ashore that night. Let's just say it wasn't pretty. ;) We've all been there! You have raised your kids well!

This is a serious problem, and we have got to come up with some kind of solution! :)

We just got back from a ten day trip, and we're in shock at everything we still left undone!

Those KP missions are cute, aren't they? It's the aftermath that is difficult to deal with!

:rotfl: about Ian and the bra at Turtle Talk! Too funny!

You know I am right there with you about being hungry and pouting at Epcot! So glad that the Marketplace was open when you got back!

It sounds like you had lots of fun w/ Kim Possible! I've heard mixed reviews about it--but we are determined to try it when we go back.;)

I thought it was extra cute. We ended up doing it again another day and Ian will tell you that KP was one of his very favorite things at DW.

How great that Ian got to talk to Crush!! It's such a cool show.:goodvibes

I love shows that make you go, "How do they do that?":thumbsup2

Ahh...sorry you didn't get to ride TT or Soarin'.:sad2: This alone would have made me grumpy!! But to add on the crowds after Illumination and being hungry!! UGH!! I totally understand how you must have been feeling, especially when you had your heart set on a leisurely dinner in the WS. That was very sweet of Amelia to pray that the Marketplace would be open. Sometimes that all it takes is for one of your kids to say something to make you feel all better.:goodvibes
Looking forward to hearing about DHS.popcorn::

I was somewhat disappointed to not get to ride TT but I was quite disappointed that we wouldn't be able to us the FPs for Soarin' that we made a point of being at rope drop to get! Amelia pulled me right out of my funk with her sweet words.

You don't carry emergency snacks at WDW??? I am so showing this segment of your TR to my DH. He always laughs at me that I carry snacks into the parks when there is so many options in the parks. See...it's times like this that make me happy about my emergency snacks!

I know, right? But we all had not only a CS credit for that day each but also a snack credit, so I didn't even consider bringing more. I'd throw a bag of goldfish in my bag in the future for eating emergencies! Although honestly, Ian was the only one really complaining about being hungry I knew we all needed to eat and I felt so bad as a mom that I couldn't provide food for my little hungry boy.:guilty:

So glad that Ian got to talk to Crush! What a fun memory for him. I still want to know how they do that?!?! Same technology as Laugh Floor...don't get how they do that either.

I still giggle to myself when I think about it.:goodvibes

upsettedness :)

::yes::

Oh there is nothing worse thank being tired, hungry and nothing is open!

I certainly doesn't bring out the best in me.

ITA about how long things can take in Epcot. So glad that the marketplace was open!

Me too, and the sandwiches were quite delicious as was the gelato!:goodvibes

KP sounds like it was a lot of fun, adorable pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you.:goodvibes It was really well done.

I can relate, if something doesn't go to plan I get in a mood and DF has a hard time getting me out of my funk. Glad the Marketplace was open.

I think expectations run pretty high in Disney. It's hard not to let disappointments cause irritations.

Turtle Talk sounds cool, Crush and Squirt are my fav characters from Finding Nemo, love the "give me some fin, noggin" :)

Very cool.:thumbsup2

Looking forward to hearing more :)

The childswap is great, but it takes a while, so I totally know what you mean. Plus I think while the rides are not that long the preshow stuff just makes time disappear. I know what you mean about not carrying snacks.... we are a long way from that, and maybe I will just remember to have some on standby!

Emergency snacks are a good idea.:thumbsup2

We love Turtle Talk! He picked one of my sons too and then nothing.... complete silence. He forgot his question! Crush told him he had a Dory moment. :lmao:

I noticed that on your TR! Great minds must think alike.

I have hated adding my pictures to the trip report this summer as well. I looked much better last spring! Even though to add validity to the report I even posted one in my bathing suit......

I honestly thought you looked good in your suit.:) I would much rather just take pictures of my kids but I don't want them to look back on our trip photos someday and wonder if I was there.

You must have been so relieved that the market place was open for you guys when you got back, I'm glad you all didn't have to go to bed hungry or all split up Madeline's left over sandwich.

Three cheers for the Marketplace! Although, Maddy's sandwich did look awfully good....

OOOH I love me some DHS so I can't wait to hear all about it!!!

DHS was a trip highlight! I'm excited to share it.:goodvibes

I'm so glad the Marketplace was open and you were able to grab a bite to eat before heading to sleep!!! I'm sure you were all hungry and tired!!!!

Those sandwiches and gelato really hit the spot and even with our long afternoon nap we were all more than ready for sleep!

Loved that Ian was able to ask Crush a question that is just too much fun!!!!!
Can't wait for more!

Just when we'd most like it to slow way down..

Darn universal time laws!!

Those KP missions are cute, aren't they? It's the aftermath that is difficult to deal with!

Especially when extra missions are suddenly "available"! Who wants to leave countries still in danger?;)

:rotfl: about Ian and the bra at Turtle Talk! Too funny!

I was so proud of my boy!

You know I am right there with you about being hungry and pouting at Epcot! So glad that the Marketplace was open when you got back!

Me too! Even our breakfast supplies were running low at this point so someone(probably George) would have had to make a run offsite to find something to eat.

We love Turtle Talk! He picked one of my sons too and then nothing.... complete silence. He forgot his question! Crush told him he had a Dory moment. :lmao:

Dory moment! Whomever plays Crush is really funny. I wonder how he can be so spontaneous?

Leaving things undone is a good thing... it is what you go back for *next time*! ::yes::

I finally realized the last day (figures, I'm slow) that we didn't have to do everything we would enjoy, but hopefully we enjoyed everything we did. AND yep, a "next time" list is necessary.:thumbsup2

Back on the Dis after a lengthy break for family stuff. Lovely TR:thumbsup2

Hello! Thank you.:goodvibes I remember seeing you around different boards and thinking your location description was the best! Hope all the family stuff was positive or ironed out.:goodvibes

Hungry is never good-personally I become a little wicked when I'm hungry...:headache: I've gotten caught up though before when you just want to do one more ride, one more shop and before you know it-it is later than you thought...:confused3

I am so impressed that you rode Mission Space-DD says she won't ride a ride with sick bags...did you all enjoy it...? (DS would love the Space theme...:) but I've heard so many conflicting reports...?

My DD is now reading your trip report-she's been lurking over my shoulder and she loves your girls (she loves your son but as she has a brother that's not as novel to her...) and think she'd have loved to keep him but also had a sister...(she's been reading Charleston Princess trippies too...& goodness knows where she's headed next-but she has told me to go back and read your pretrippies-she was squealing this morning about some chicks this morning...:confused3

(I'm not entirely sure about how I feel about her being on the boards too-although I see them as a fairly wholesome venue-but I was here first...:rolleyes1 Overall I'm good as long as she doesn't hijack my posts...:thumbsup2

Bring on the Studios...popcorn::

I've been there too, and sometimes the irritability hits before the actual hunger.

We all love Mission Space!! It's amazingly realistic, feeling like you're actually taking off and hurtling through space. It's a very cool sensation.:thumbsup2 We aren't prone to motion sickness, but I never look away from the screen for a second and completely ignore directions to push buttons. We've always made it to Mars in one piece despite me.;)

Aw, that's awesome. Tell your DD hello from my girls. I had a younger brother that I would have gladly traded for a sister, or a puppy for that matter. My girls would love to have a big sister. Tell her those darling little chicks are now laying eggs for us!:goodvibes

Better the Dis than a lot of other sites, I'd say. You've trained her well.:thumbsup2

I came so close to buying a container of Mr. Potato head parts at DTD. Really wishing I had!

We did Turtle Talk on our first trip and Sully got picked to ask a question. I think he asked why turtles lay so many eggs.

Just have to say how beautiful your kids are. :goodvibes

Mickey and Stitch woke us up for another rope drop this morning and today, along with excitement about our upcoming day I was feeling a bit nervous. After the fiasco that was the end of the evening in Epcot the night before, my confidence was shaken. Would my planning come together better today? We'd decided to drive to DHS since I just didn't trust the boat to get us to rope drop early enough. We considered walking, but decided against it. As the temperatures climbed throughout the day I became increasingly glad that we had a car to get us back to the BC. We actually got to DHS 45 minutes before rope drop.
We were second in line at the turnstiles. Apologies to the lady bending down.;)

We waited in our nicely shaded spot and talked about the day ahead. Everyone was excited to explore this park. The plan was for George to go ahead and get FPs for Toy Story Midway Mania while the kids and I walked purposefully toward Pixar Place. We'd meet him and get into the standby line together. After the opening show, which I thought was just meh, the race was on! Now the other parks have their big draws which people race toward right at the rope drop and we were at rope drop at every park and nothing compared to the craziness that was the mad dash toward TSMM. There were people literally running. I think this needs to be policed better, like the Soarin rush, but Disney for some reason hasn't sought my opinion on the matter. We met George in the mob scene that was Pixar Place and made our way to the standby queue, which was posting a 15 minute wait. Not bad!
George, oh king of the fast pass runners.

I love this queue, so we have quite a few pictures. The first couple are courtesy of Madeline.

The game boards on the ceiling are too, too cool.
277.jpg

Would you look who's blinking in this picture? I had a hard time getting Ian to look at the camera because he was so interested in looking at all of Andy's fun toys.
279.jpg

We'd decided that for this ride George and Ian would ride together, Maddy and Amelia and I'd be the single rider. We got to the end of the queue, ready to board our vehicles, and the CM told us which lines to stand in to wait for our cars. Well, I got obediently into line behind another person and a car pulled up right then, ready to board. The man got in and I climbed in next to him. The man looked a little surprised, but very graciously moved over, so I got situated and then looked up to see my family looking at me, jaws dropping. It seems I was supposed to wait until the NEXT set of vehicles pulled up. I'd just hitched a ride with a complete stranger and left my family behind. As what I'd done dawned on me, I could feel my cheeks getting hot, but I didn't have too long to think about my embarassment before it was time for some balloon popping, ring tossing, pie throwing fun. We all loved this ride and were happy we'd gotten fast passes so we could ride again later.

We exited TSMM and stopped at the little shop/kiosk across the way. The kids all pressed some pennies.

Ian admired a Buzz Lightyear.

We made our way back toward Voyage of the Little Mermaid, where we waited for about 10 minutes before we were let into the theater. We all declared VOTLM cute and then it was time to split up. George and Madeline were going to get fast passes for Rock n Rollercoaster and then ride Tower of Terror if the standby line wasn't long. Amelia, Ian and I would go to the Magic of Disney Animation show and meet the other two inside the building. The little show with Mushu was interesting and cute, but the CM who was supposedly interacting with Mushu talked so fast it was hard to understand what she was saying. George called while we were exiting the show. The ToT wait was posted as 15 minutes, so they were going to ride. In fact, they were already in line. These pictures are courtesy of Maddy.

It looks like Amelia Bedelia has been here dusting.

Continued in next post.

Come on, Mom. dontcha know how to line up right? I bet they teased you about that one for a while, didn't they? Sounds exactly like something I would do, and I can assure you I would hear about it from my crew!

It was nice to start my day with Toy Story pictures! :)
I agree with policing the running part. I have seen grown people running, not just teenagers and kids. I'm thinking, "Seriously? This is a ride, people, and we're all going to get on!" Walking at a brisk pace - okay - that's safe enough, but all out running just looks sorta crazy when you're forty!

I like Sissy's intent look while Ian is pin trading. That's cute. That's the kind of pictures I like - capturing things that really aren't the main focus of the picture.

I'm a Toy Story (the movie) fan, so I like all the toys they have at that open air shop. If I had the money, I'd have them all for Brooklynn to play with here at my house! :thumbsup2

Again, thanks for making this boring metting day start out as Toy Story Tuesday! :yay:

Good job at securing fastpasses and riding standby during the morning crush:thumbsup2 I was quite taken aback as well by the chaos of the TSMM rope drop. It made Soarin' look like a walk in the park! Anyway, it sounds like you're planning vibe is back and things are going great:goodvibes

Wow you were up early for this post.:scared1:

I love the fact that in Andy's room the pink crayon hasn't been used. It is the background of one of your pics. :rotfl2: Imagineers crack me up.

I love the fact that you got into a car with a stranger. Too funny! My DH would never have let me live that down. :rotfl:

I did the run for TSM FP in June. What a mad house! I was glad that they at least had a line controlled by CMs. I know many people disagree, but I'm not sure what all the hoopla is about. Part of the problem is that because of this cool new ride, that puts 3 big draw rides in DHS which is the worst park to handle big crowds. I wonder how different it would have been had it been put in MK or Epcot???? I guess we will never know.

Anyway, love your update. My family and I are big fans of the Magic of Animation!! Can't wait to hear more. popcorn::

Oh..too funny about hitching a ride with a complete stranger.:lmao: Actually, if I knew that I was going to be riding alone--I would have probably done the same thing not realizing either:laughing:

We didn't make it to rope drop at DHS last trip, so we missed the craziness heading to the ride...whew!! Love all the pictures while you are waiting in line--so cute!! We missed seeing that last trip.:sad2: It sounds like you had great success with grabbing fastpasses and then getting in the stand-by line to ride. (only a 15 minute wait-yay!!):thumbsup2I think that will be our new strategy so we can ride twice next trip.;)

Another great update!! Can't wait for more.....
